I absolutely loved my stay at Moni Emvasis. A beautiful suite in the lower town part of the castle. Ancient, historical, the setting is amazing. I had a beautiful suite with a balcony overlooking the sea, great for watching sunrise and the fishing boats go out to sea. Breakfast was amazing and I was full all day. This is a beautiful part of Greece with so much to see and do. If you’re going to climb up to the Citadel it’s worth the hike, my tip, go early before it gets too hot. I will definitely be back :)

We stayed at some incredible stops during our 2 week road-trip through the peloponnese, but Moni Emvasis was our favorite stay! We can't say enough about how incredible the location, room, staff (shoutout Alexandra!), and FOOD was. Make a reservation for dinner, the included breakfast (best we had anywhere) will convince you! I don't think we ever stopped smiling from the moment we arrived. Beautiful, wonderful, luxurious, unforgettable. THANK YOU!

Die Beisitzerin des Boutique Hotels ist eine begeisterte Gastgeberin, ihr Haus hat Stil in allen Details und das dazugehörige Restaurant ist ausgezeichnet! Der Preis ist gehoben aber gerechtfertigt. Unschlagbar der Blick von der Terrasse, wo nur eine Handvoll Tische stehen. Bemerkenswert ist auch das Frühstück, das im Zimmerpreis enthalten ist. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Great location in the castle walls & very close to the entrance on the right hand side. Excellent view & host! And the breakfast - made to order from the host in your room or on the balcony downstairs. Try the local Greek treats! The suites are cozy with fireplace & very clean and comfortable. Book in advance, you will not be disappointed. Note I suggest to drop your luggage at the entrance of the castle, then park your car. And there is generally a lot of stairs and uphill walking in the area, so bring comfy shoes! It is very unique location, easy day trips by car, and worth it to visit!

A romantic gem. A tiny hotel with wonderful rooms and a fantastic view of the sea. Personal and first-class service. Breakfast and dinner absolutely fantastic. A must on a trip through the Peloponnese!

We stayed here for 3 nights during our trip in September, what a fabulous location and stunning small independent hotel that is perched up a flight of stairs in the lower town. Once we entered through a door and we were show up to our room on the top floor (4 rooms in total). The room was excellent, spacious, clean and very comfortable with a huge shower and bathroom. However this hotel is ALL about the views from the balconies that are truly stunning. See photos. We ate the hotel restaurant and the dinner was excellent and the dining area is situated on a small private balcony that overlooks the ocean with views that are spectacular. The breakfast was also excellent with a very good choice and lovely views with very good service. Highly recommend and once in a lifetime place to visit. Top Tip - Make sure you drive to the castle entrance on arrival and unload all your luggage, then contact the hotel to help with your luggage while your partner parks the car on the mile long road or at the free car park at the bottom. It’s about a 20 minute walk up from the bottom car park or there is a bus service that charges €1.20.

The hotel is wonderfully inserted in the enchanting village. The room is spacious, elegant and with attention to detail. The view from the terrace is formidable. Breakfast is served on the terrace overlooking the sea and offers excellent local products. A very interesting restaurant is available. It is certainly a small hotel that remains in the heart.

Monemvasia is a tremendous town to visit and understand the heights of the Byzantine civilisation, but it's not an easy place to enjoy without spending time and having a bolt hole. This property fulfilled that brief perfectly and we had a brilliant two night stay here. Breakfast was good, the suite quality, terrace, air con and view 5 star and the hotel gave us towels so that we could enjoy the dramatic sea swim outside the gate at the platform. Superb.

Amazing room with incredible ocean views. I couldn’t have chosen a better spot for my short stay in Monemvasia. The hotel is located close to entrance to the castle which makes it convenient. Nectaria the manager, makes sure you are confortable and arranges for someone to help you with luggage once you are at the entrance of the castle. Breakfast was also perfection. One day I will go back. Thank you for helping me create wonderful memories.
