Lodge at Tellico

We booked a stay here as part of a family motorcycle trip to ride the Cherohala Skyway with our plan to arrive the day before we continued our journey. We arrived late in the day in the middle of a thunderstorm warning. Everyone was exhausted and soaked to the bone. Ken and Viki greeted us upon arrival, showed us around in the rain and got us situated quickly. After riding all day and ending the ride through a thunderstorm to say we were hungry is an understatement. Not wanting to go back onto our bikes in the rain to get food we realized that we were going to have to wait until morning to eat. Ken must of realized we would all be exhausted and hungry because shortly after we got settled in, Ken sent me a text offering to go pick up an order of food for us! Unbelievable! To say the least, we were thrilled. I tried to tip Ken, but he wouldn't take it. This experience is a testament to who they are and the impression they are trying to make while owning the Lodge at Tellico. This should be your first choice if you ever find yourself needing accommodations while staying in Tellico Plains. Ken and Viki go above and beyond to ensure your stay exceeds expectations. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll certainly be staying here.

We have stayed here several times!!! Amazing place. so clean and cozy!!!! The property is well taken care of. Landscaping and water fountains, covered patio with grill nice garage for motorcycles and fire pit!!! Owners are so nice. We will be back!!!❤️

Best place for riders!!! Very clean, neat. And tidy!! The garage area for the motorcycles was awesome!!! It is close to great rides and great eats!!!! Ken, the owner would check in with us daily to see if we had any needs. The fire pit was great to chill by and smoke a great cigar!!!Thanks for everything!!!

We were on bikes. Ken & Viki were amazing. They made our stay very enjoyable. Great location, great accommodations, and we loved having a garage to park our bikes in, especially since it rained the night we were there. We are already planning a return trip to the area and will absolutely be staying at the Lodge.

While heading to Cincinatti for a convention this year, I decided to detour to show my wife some of the sights I had seen during motorcycle trips through Tennesee. Fortunately, my route included stopping in Tellico Plains and staying at the Lodge at Tellico. Folks, this is one beautiful place to stay. We were running a little late and got a text to make sure we were coming from the owners - they just needed an eta. I provided one and when we got there, were warmly greeted by Ken, who told us all about the lodge and then took us on a tour of the place, showing us the barbeque-gathering area, the water features, the location of the laundry and ice machines, the game room and the covered bike garage. We parked right next to the room! (Note that this place does require you to manage 3-4 stair step and carry your bags up the stairs.). We entered the room and were blown away. Beautiful is not adequate. The bed was great and the floor and ceiling were hardwood. It has a fireplace, a refrigerator, a ceiling fan and a microwave. They had nice towels and a pile of other towels you can use to wipe down your motorcycle. Even special towels for makeup removal. It had a beautiful shower to clean up. Plenty of outlets, a table with chairs and most importantly, a jacuzzi tub to relax your body after a hard day of riding or driving. My wife was so thrilled with the room and the lodge itself. We unpacked and went down to the gathering place where you could sit off of the end of the pavillion and watch fireflies dancing through the trees as the sun set. Just an incredible view. While we had planned to leave early, we stayed until the 11:00am checkout time just to enjoy the views and the charm of the lodge. On our 10 day trip, this was the best stay we had and we're planning now for a trip back next year, although my wife may not let me drive on the Tail of the Dragon again as I was having too much fun (well as much fun as you can have in a car - all previous trips have been on a bike). We highly recommend this fine lodge if you are in the area - it's only 1/2 mile away from the start of the Cherohala Skyway.

Ken gave us a personal tour of the grounds when we arrived, very personable and accommodating! Comfy bed, exceptionally clean room! Loved the grounds and the guest perks- game room, pavilion/grill and seating area, fire pit. Will definitely be back!

We’ve been coming here for many years as a stop on our motorcycle adventures. There are new owners this season and they are off to a great start. This is the third owner of the property since we have been coming. They each have had a love of the business and the property has been well maintained and even upgraded over the years. The new owners Ken and Viki Ingram are very friendly and accommodating. (He even brought hot tea to our cabin in the morning when I had asked about it the evening before) We enjoy the rooms with the hot tubs after a long day of riding. The mini microwave and fridge are adequate for storing breakfast options or fixing snacks. They have a large Game Room with almost everything imaginable (shuffle board, pool table, ping pong, air hockey, poker table and TV) They have a garage for covered space for motorcycles which comes in handy. Although it is a welcoming place for cyclists, in our experience it has always been a quiet place to come back to after a long day of exploring the beautiful roads and waterfalls of the area. That said, they DO have a great shelter area with grills and tables for a group if you come prepared for cooking so it could get rowdy depending on the groups, but they have quiet hour times, so it shouldn’t be a problem. We have had good conversations around a campfire in the evenings with other guests at times. It just depends on the days. There are great restaurants and snack shops in the area and a Save a Lot grocery store close if needed. Would highly recommend the Lodge and the area for those that need to get away from it all!

If you are a biker, this is an awesome place to stay - it even has a bike garage. If you are not a biker, this is still an awesome place to stay - charming, quiet, clean, with lots of amenities. Hosts are very friendly and helpful, making sure you enjoy your stay. It's a good "home base" if you want to check out all the great East Tennessee sites in the area. I had a great visit and will definitely be back.

We loved this place. They were booked up, but we asked if we could be put on a waiting list in case someone else fell through. They did and we were able to get a room last minute. We will be back 100%. The motorcycle parking area was so neat and a great way to leave your mark upon arrival.
