Super location and nice rooms. Unfortunately a lot of coach parties arrived during and stay so it was super busy. I actually caught covid from one of the party who coughed all over me :(( Also when I asked for a towel for poolside I was rudely spoken to. Breakfast nothing special and breakfast room too busy Would stay again but choose my time
Grand Hotel Tettuccio

I booked a five night stay here with Tailored Travel. The website of the hotel really raised expectations showing light and airy rooms with beautiful drapes. After paying a hefty single supplement our rooms could not have been more different . The first one I was shown had a tiny skylight with an odd net drape. Im fairly short so couldn't see out. You had to duck under this curtain to walk around the bottom of the bed. No wardrobe just a rod with some hangers. I refused to stay there. The second room offered was in the lower ground floor. The ” French ”door could hardly be opened as there was an electric car charger just outside in the car park. The bathroom was tiny and narrow. I measured it and it was approximately two A4 sheets wide. Anyone over 5foot 3 would have hit their knees on the towel rail using the loo or bidet.. Other single rooms for solo occupancy were equally as poor. Either no chair, no dressing table unit no proper window etc just an unpleasant place to stay. Beds are rock hard. Totally unacceptable accommodation for a hotel purporting to be 4star. The website shows a kettle with cups and one assumes coffee and tea would be provided as is the norm on a hospitality tray . When we queried where the coffee and tea was we were told coffee was available from a vending machine on the first floor ! However this wasn't sachets etc but actual coffee. Why provide a kettle but nothing to use with it ? Food for the party was very average. Maybe the al la carte was better. Most of the waiting staff were off hand. Once when I asked the waitress for something it was almost slapped down in front of me . One waiter only actually used to smile at us when we walked into the restaurant and was helpful and friendly. I wish I had found out his name . We did not feel very welcome. Amazingly on our last night the waiting staff became very attentive and we then noticed the tip envelope on our table. Pity they hadn't been like it all the way through our stay. There seems to be mention of a spa but this was shut and looked like it had been for a long time. Maybe if you book this as an individual you might have a better stay. If you're travelling with a party and also paying a single supplement AVOID. Maybe other nationalities had better luck and Hotel Tettuccio ( I won't use Grand it isnt ) thought because we were English we wouldn't complain . WRONG.
Tuscany Inn

One night stay in Tuscany, at the Tuscany Inn Hotel. the staff were very friendly and our check in was easy. Our room was one of the biggest we have ever stayed in. And a massive bathroom, all designed to be wheelchair accessible. Comfortable bed and pillows, the bathroom was well appointed. We were let down by the included dinner though, had the vegetarian burger with tomatoes and peas, not overly impressed.
Grand Hotel Vittoria

As you can see from the photos, the exterior of the building and public areas are grand and delightful. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. But for those who want more of the nitty-gritty read on: Room: We were in room 124, which is a standard room near the elevator. Like most European hotels, the room is considerably small. I appreciated the large armoire, night stands, and drawers so that if one wanted, personal items can be stowed out of sight. I found the bed to be very firm, but have a PranaSleep mattress at home, which is super comfy. I read that the rooms were ”recently” renovated, but ours could have definitely used a touch-up. There was a mark that appeared to have been where someone killed (and smudged) a bug on the wall, and several spots where the walls were scuffed and chipped. Cleanliness: The housekeeping did a sufficient job of cleaning the room, and the dining areas were immaculate. What struck me as odd was the beautiful red carpet on the grand staircase was in need of a vacuum during our entire stay. Minute detail, for sure, but one that struck me as odd. Amenities: Here's where I think they could improve. There is not an iron in each room, however, they will bring one upon request. In my case they asked for it back 24 hours later, which was problematic for me, as all of our clothes needed ironing. I requested an iron four more times before I received another one, three days later. Sadly the one I was given was completely broken. (Good news: I learned to get wrinkles out of clothing by dampening the garment and using a hot hair dryer!) The toiletries were paltry and the bar of hand soap was the size and thickness of a quarter. I am imagining this is done for the sake of conservation, but be aware: if you are the ”DO NOT DISTURB” type, you will need to find housekeeping to stock up daily. The towels and bedding were all stain-free and seemed to be of decent quality. Temperature: We are from upstate NY and the room was very hot for us, even with the AC on the lowest temperature. We stayed in October and ended up sleeping with the windows open. Bathroom: The shower is incredibly small! If you drop your soap you would actually need to step out of the shower to pick it up! No joke! The water pressure is incredible, however, and there was always plenty of hot water. WiFi: Nearly non-existent. I have heard that they are planning to upgrade. Otherwise, you need to sit in the lobby or use the laptop they provide in the front area. Typical to Staff: Most of the staff was professional. We had many pleasant exchanges with a young waiter named Federico. The evening/night staff were not as pleasant and almost seemed bothered that they had to interact with patrons. Food: The breakfast was plentiful and consistent: a table full of breakfast pastries, cold cereal, melons, yogurt, scrambled eggs, muffins, bacon, sausage links, several types of cold cuts and cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes. We ate dinner at the hotel three times and so
LHP Hotel Montecatini Palace & Spa

My husband and I spent 2 days at this hotel although we paid for three. We ended up leaving a day early to stay at a nearby hotel with a pool and free breakfast and a view. So the positives of this hotel: - the AC - we were there in July so it was HOT - there is a gym. It’s small and for some reason, the AC was not on the 3 days we used it so it was like a sauna, but there is a gym. - relative close proximity to restaurants and beach. Very walkable. Negatives: - COST. Of everything. We ordered 2 coffees to be delivered to the room. It cost 20 euro. - Breakfast was not included in the cost of the room. - no one explained anything to us when we checked in. No how to get on the wifi, no how to call the front desk, no nothing. The check in was very abrupt. - the room was in the lower level of an adjacent apartment building. And it backed up to the train tracks. Fortunately, the trains are not very loud but still, you can certainly hear them - the pillows and the beds - FLAT. Hard. But in all fairness, I can’t say we had soft mattresses or pillows in any hotel we stayed at this trip. - no view Overall, I wouldn’t stay at this hotel again. It was comfortable and met the basics, but way too pricy for what it was.
