The sanitation is very poor, the service is very good, the environment is good, but there is no air conditioning. I am almost dying of heat, and I am dying of cold at night. The hair dryer and toilet are very old

A rather old fashioned hotel but very nice. Views are marvellous. Rooms are lovely. Parking is available and easy. Staff were generally good. We had dinner the first night but they rushed us, presumably because a large party was coming, and the meal was spoilt so consequently we didn't bother going on any other night.

Magnifique établissement au dessus de Montreux avec une vue extraordinaire sur le lac Léman. Un de ces rares hôtels de la belle et grand époque encore détenu par la même famille. Le Victoria est un hôtel iconique qui mérite sa réputation. Il y règne une merveilleuse atmosphère empreinte de délicatesse. Y séjourner, c'est choisir une parenthèse enchantée, reposante dans le temps qui passe. Beaucoup de style et d'élégance. Un service de palace sans être obséquieux. Chambres très grandes et confortables, d'une extrême propreté. Excellent restaurant avec une très agréable terrasse donnant sur le lac et le jardin. Cuisine délicieuse avec un personnel charmant. Un grand merci à la famille Mittermair ( Antoine, Barbara, avec une mention spéciale pour le toujours vaillant Toni qui a eu la gentillesse de venir nous saluer ). Parking sécurisé. Gare très proche pour monter aux Rochers de Naye. Nous reviendrons sans aucune hésitation !!!

Dieses Hotel ist voller Geschichte. Könnten die Wände sprechen, hätten sie bestimmt einiges zu erzählen. Ich war vor 30 Jahren zum ersten Mal hier und verändert hat sich seither nicht viel. Das ist gut so! Es lebt von seinem Charme und seinem einzigartigen Dekor. Natürlich hat die Besitzer-Familie immer wieder investiert aber der Stil des Hauses wurde nie verändert. Wir hatten ein tolles Eckzimmer mit einer fantastischen Aussicht. Das Panorama von Villeneuve bis Lausanne ist einzigartig. Wer modern und super-luxuriös übernachten möchte, ist hier am falschen Ort. Wer hingegen Hotels mit Flair, Tradition und Nostalgie liebt, sollte zumindest einmal im Leben hier einkehren. Auch der Garten ist sehr geschmackvoll angelegt und bei schönem Wetter ist die Terrasse sicher einer der attraktivsten Plätze am Genfersee.

The hotel is a bit away from Montreux city center, but easily reachable via the train or the funicular. As it is located high on a hill, you can enjoy a wonderful view over the lake, particularly when wandering in the nice garden of the hotel. Service is perfect, room are old-style but comfortable and very clean. Just be aware that there is no double bed, only two single ones close to each other. Only the choice of the breakfast buffet could be improved, otherwise everything was perfect.

Gebäude, Umgebung, Service, Essen, etc.: Alles war fast perfekt oder ganz perfekt oder sogar mehr als perfekt. Lediglich die Kippen auf der Sonnenterasse haben uns ein wenig gestört, aber das Hotel kann natürlich nicht alle Gäste ständig überwachen – und es nicht immer kommt alles Gute von oben.

Usually this is a good family driven hotel. It is now the third time we come. However I really don’t like being told “to read what the terminal says!! :( by the receptionist as if I am not able to read. The receptionist could not find my deposit of 688 CHF, when I asked if he found it he just ignored me. Finally when finding it there was nothing- not even a “I got it” Just a really sour and arrogant attitude the entire way. Even when ordering the rooms I was refused a confirmation. Not sure I want to do this hotel again :(
