Enjoyable stay in comfortable room 16. It is situated on 2nd floor above laundry..so nice and warm...windows open for ventilation
Staff were courteous and helpful...breakfast was superb...Thanks to all staff

In all my years of travelling I have never come across such disinterested hotel staff. If you choose to work in the hospitality sector then you should know you are going to come into contact with people. At least make the effort to make us feel welcome at your hotel or when serving us breakfast. My room had a street light shining straight into the room all night. It can’t be that difficult or expensive to have a black out blind put on the window. On the plus side - the cooked breakfast was lovely.

Excellent pub - great accommodation, great food!
George Hotel is a really lovely pub. Excellent food and a really nice comfortable room - with Netflix!! Great shower and nice heating for the chilly nights. We are bike packing so the lovely managers allowed us to keep our bicycles safely secured in the rear yard which was very much appreciated. We had a really yummy breakfast that sustained us for our entire day of cycling! Highly recommend this hotel to anyone passing through Montrose!

Old fashined but not bad
Not sure you can get much better at Montrose.
Obviously need refreshment but in other hand offer you an old-fashioned charm.
Room are big enough, quiet, clean but with old furniture and bathtub if you like it.
Parking reserved for the customer at 30m.

A good stopping place
A stage on our coastal walking route.
Excellent staff and wonderful food. Would recommend the Scottish breakfast for quality and quantity 👍

Montrose stay
Overnight stay on business trip,
Old style hotel with the quirks that come with it, Food great , but service poor and slow, young lad on breakfast can only assume in training, not aware of customers , could retain requests, 4 times had to ask for coffee, sat 20 mins before I had to approach him for service etc etc
