Fergus Cactus Garden

Myself and my husband just spent a week here for our honeymoon, and ‘incredible’ doesn’t cover it! We arrived very late on the first night due to flight and coach delays, and the chef had left aside food for us despite the kitchen being closed so that we could still have dinner after our travels. The lady at reception also instantly upgraded our room free of charge when learning it was our honeymoon. Every member of staff were extremely friendly and welcoming - they all went out of our way to make us feel at home. They truly went above and beyond. The hotel itself is in a lovely location - the main beach is a 5-10 min walk, and on the way you have many different stores which sell clothes, souvenirs, trinkets etc. There are also cute chipmunks nearby, which are a must-see! I cannot credit the people here enough - there was a certain holiday rep lady who was so enthusiastic and full of energy, so much so that we believed she had been here for a while, and then learnt she had only been here for a week! There is always entertainment, from live singing, to karaoke nights, to quiz nights, and so much more, it definitely takes more than a week to have the whole experience! The food is something we shall miss immensely - I am a fussy eater, and yet there wasn’t a single thing I did not enjoy. I highly recommend going all inclusive if you do book here - you’ll have no regrets. I can not understand some of the bad reviews about this hotel. Great local. Huge spacious rooms. Immaculate accommodation throughout. Hotel staff always polite and friendly. Good choice of food. If you can not manage to find something to eat there is seriously something wrong with you. I can not fault this hotel at all. The roof bar area and level 6 for sun bathing is perfect. Beautiful beach with crystal clear water. Do not hesitate booking the Fergus Cactus 🌵 you won’t regret it. Well, not unless you choose moaning for a hobby

Hotel was lovely and I am struggling to understand some of the reviews I am reading, hence the feeling that some balance is needed. Hotel was clean, staff were friendly, rooms were spacious with a nice balcony and living spaces. Always well cleaned - including floors mopped! Pool area limited for a family maybe for older couples was fine with nice seating areas in the shade. No trouble in getting drinks whatsoever. Checked out at 12 and was immediately offered tickets to get lunch and also we had drinks around the pool after lunch. Food was OK- nothing special but also not awful. Usual breakfast fare with an egg station for omelette, delicious bread etc. Lunch was usually good - excellent salads and fruit - the bbq ribs were the highlight of the week though. Evening meals again offered enough choice - if you want pie and mash every night, don't go to Spain. So again, food was OK and we never struggled for something to eat. Beach was stunning with 2 beds and an umbrella for 15 euros. Nice shopping area too and all a short walk from the hotel. Each to their own but was more than enough for us. We would return tomorrow.

Had a lovely time ,hotel lovely ,rooms very spacious and excellent location staff very friendly the only let down was the food , didn't look at all appetizing,very poor selection of desserts,no entertainment during the day and a couple of singers at night .

Myself and my wife have just returned after a week at the Fergus Catus Garden. THE GOOD POINTS: The beach is beautiful with lovely golden sand, with crystal clear blue water and ideal for swimming. The local shops are hassle free and you are not bothered whilst browsing. Mainly designer shops. The hotel was quite and relaxing. Plenty of sun loungers, by the pool, or on the roof top with two areas with jacuzzi’s. THE NOT SO GOOD POINTS: One small tiny pool by the reception. Very limited entertainment in the day or the evening. Pool bar only stays open until 11pm every night. Food very bland. Stewed vegetable, pumpkin and waiting for the chef to cook the fresh meats and fish. Mainly chips and pizza. If you like salad and a fruit then you have chose the right place. Breakfast was probably the best meal. If you are a young couple there is NO night life in the area, and is very quite. The hotel staff were genuinely friendly however except for one person who was arrogant and rude whilst I was trying to fill my water bottle up in the dining area. Also be aware check out time is 12:00. The reception will cut off your all inclusive wrist band and say your all inclusive is now finished. We had to wait 5 hours for our transfer to arrive to pick us up. No food or drink available!! However another couple complained and were given a meal voucher. SO BEST COMPLAIN!!
