The Raven’s Cliff Lodge by Marston's Inns

I recently stayed at the Ravens Cliff Hotel Lodge by Marston's Inns, and found it to be a clean and comfortable choice for accommodation. The rooms were well-maintained, providing a good night's rest in a peaceful setting. One of the perks I noticed was a discount offered in the restaurant for hotel residents, though it's important to mention that this is only available if you book directly through the hotel, which was a bit disappointing. During my dining experiences at the hotel restaurant, I felt that the staff could have been more welcoming and friendly. While the service was efficient, a warmer interaction would have greatly enhanced the overall experience. Nonetheless, the food quality was satisfactory. Overall, the Ravens Cliff Hotel Lodge offers a decent stay, especially if you're looking for a straightforward, no-frills accommodation with the convenience of an on-site restaurant. It's a suitable choice for travelers seeking basic comfort and cleanliness.

So very dissapointed in this hotel and pub. Our room had a very dirty stained carpet and walls were badly marked. Beds were ok but pillows were lumpy. Food We ate in the pub, we sat at 4 different tables but were unable to find a table that the surface was not sticky due to the table surface... varnish or lacquer ... breaking down. It took 45 mins for our food to arrive, fries were cold and burger buns were hard. Baked beans and chicken bites were cold. Dessert was unpleasant... sticky toffee pudding.. the sauce waxrither burnt or fermenting. There were no pizza available as th pizza oven had been turned off .. at 7pm on a Satuday night. Breakfast The coffee machine was broken and the toaster did not toast. Scottish breakfast was poor and everything fried tasted of dirty cooking oil. Would recommend or stay again.

After checking in went to room but corridors smelt of cigarettes, room was ok, went for breakfast greeting wasn't the best,had to ask for cutlery, was no milk for tea / coffee/cereal, had to ask, lots of empty cereal boxes from other people on the station, no bin to put them in, not the best.was not worth £119 for the night then extra for breakfast

This is an all stars facility. The Inn is a new property with just a few minutes away from local amenities and 30 min from Glasgow. We stayed 2 nights there and it is highly recommended.

The service was awful, checking in and restaurant service both the worst I have ever experienced. No breakfast at advertised times and access key continually not working to access room. Staff unhelpful and uninterested in addressing issues. Won't stay here again

Dreadful room with stained carpets , TV remote not working, towel rail broken, marks on wall, looked abused, not just worn, Would like to review food, BUT never got chance to try it, no pizza doh, no mixed grill, stopped asking at this point, staff said it had been a busy day and they had sold out, this was at 1900 hours, We stayed 2 days, room was not cleaned because we had not put the sign on the door to clean, we were never told this and to be honest to pay to stay in a hotel and have cleaning at request only, is new to me, When I said we would not be returning I was meet by OKAY, as a reply, Shame used many times before, it has really deteriorated,

I stayed here for one night for business. I arrived at about 9pm and was informed that the restaurant stops serving food at 8:30pm which was disappointing. The room was basic. The shower over the bath didn’t have great water pressure but it was ok. Didn’t stay for breakfast as I wasn’t sure what the times were so I went a mile down the road to Tim Hortons. Overall it was ok, the room was on par with a basic Travelodge room but definitely not worth £109 per night. It’s more what I’d expect for £60-£80 per night.

I've been going back and forward to this hotel over the past 3 years. When I first started going I found it clean comfortable and a really good night's sleep. Over the past two times I've stayed here it's begging to look rundown, dirty . When I went in the room this time it looked grubby . The carpets are filthy. The bedding looks dirty and well used. I went to reception to ask for new batteries for the TV remote. The girl changed the batteries for me but to no avail it just didn't work , so when I went back to reception I told the guy on reception it still doesn't work. Wow ! He actually scowlled at me as if to say it t was my fault ?. They took one out of another room in the end. I won't be returning to this hotel . I'm afraid you've let it go to ruin.

Properly cleaning rooms (walls and CARPETS) and hall would make this a great stay
