"I had a fantastic experience staying at Tianzhiyi B&B in Zhaoxing Dong Village! The location is perfect, right on the main street, making it very convenient for exploring the village. At night, the observation deck offers stunning panoramic views of the Dong village and its nightscape. The room was clean and tidy, and ours even had a small balcony with a great view. The owner and staff were very welcoming, answering all our questions and recommending nearby itineraries. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Zhaoxing! Highly recommended!"

"The owner is a local Dong ethnic group, and they are super nice! If you mention them at any restaurant on the main street, you'll get a discount – seriously amazing, hahaha. The owner even drove us to and from the hotel. The location is great, right next to the main street and easy to find. We had a creek view room, which was quiet and peaceful. The room was clean, offered great value for money, and they even provided disposable bath towels. Looking forward to staying again!"

"Dangzhai Mei, the homestay is good to live! This location is relatively quiet, not in the scenic spot, it is too exciting to drive on Guizhou Mountain Road, it is easy to get motion sickness if you don't pay attention to it hahaha 😉 The boss and his wife are very good and the service is intimate. This is their newly upgraded and renovated homestay. We are very lucky. We live in everything new and new, and there is no smell of decoration. The house on the fourth and fifth floors is large, with a wide view and full floor-to-ceiling windows, which makes this trip full of surprises and happiness."

"Choosing this guesthouse during my trip to Zhaoxing Dong Village was definitely a great experience. The most convenient part was the free shuttle service from the high-speed rail station. The owner confirmed the time with us beforehand, and we saw her waiting as soon as we exited the station. She also helped us with our luggage the whole time and patiently explained some tips for exploring the Dong village – so thoughtful! The guesthouse was conveniently located, not far from the main street. The owner was always available by phone, and the place was quiet at night. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the bedding was great. The owner even gave us some fresh, sweet bayberries from her own orchard. There was absolutely no commercialized atmosphere; it felt like visiting relatives. This was the most comfortable stay of my trip. Great value for money, and the service was genuine. Anyone visiting Zhaoxing Dong Village can definitely check it out!"

"A perfect weekend getaway from the bustling city. Tucked away in the mountainous countryside of Guizhou, Zhaoxing Dong Ethnic Minority Village in only three hour ride via high speed train from Guangzhou. The village is quite developed, offering shuttle service to and from the railway station for 10RMB each way. You can also arrange a private ride for 50RMB into the village. The village entrance fee allows 6 days of access into the village for 80RMB. I chose to stay at the Comfort Zhaoxing Inn next to the canola fields, away from the main attractions for a quieter stay. I can see swallows swooping, bugs chirping, and frogs croaking in the fields. My room has floor to ceiling windows offering great views of the mountains, fields, and rice terraces. Remote villages in the mountains are also visible. The inn is ran by a friendly couple. They offer sumptuous breakfast with generous portions. They picked up and assisted with my luggage at the village shuttle station. The village itself is for pedestrian only. They offer complimentary shuttle services every 15-20 minutes that makes various stops if you don’t feel like walking. It was relaxing to stroll along the river and around the village. Instead of taking a shuttle (20RMB round trip) to the rice terraces of TangAn Village, I took the trail that the locals used for centuries before shuttles were available. The trail was paved, crossing creeks, winding through the mountains and rice fields for 7.5km with an elevation gain of about 1,000 meters. The views were spectacular and the food were amazingly delicious and very affordable. I used Zhaoxing Village as a hub for accessing other remote villages. Shuttle buses offering two departures to Huanggang, Basha ethic villages (about an hour ride). Though if there is not enough passengers, they may cancel the service. My stay was memorable, and I plan to go back when the canola flowers are blooming."
