Mountain View Hotels in Kathmandu

I booked the hotel because I wanted to stay close to Buddha Stupa in Boudhanath and this is by far my best experience in Kathmandu. The hotel is only 5 minutes walk to the Stupa, but very quiet and private. There is an old monastery inside the hotel, and part of the profit from the hotel goes to support the monks in monastery. Morning yoga session is 8am to 9am led by a monk, but I always slept in so couldn’t make it (my fault!). Breakfast was delicious and I highly recommend the puri with potatoes and beans fillings. The hotel manager and staffs are very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating, which made the stay even more pleasant. Thank you all, it’s been a great experience staying Hotel Dolmaling. I would definitely come back here the next time I’m in Nepal!

A beautiful and charming boutique hotel with exceptional hospitality. We received a warm welcome, including a traditional bindi greeting, which made us feel special right away. The rooms were clean, tastefully designed, well-maintained, and had good water pressure. Service throughout the stay was excellent. Breakfast was a highlight of our stay. With low occupancy, it was served à la carte with a wide range of options. We ordered several items, and every dish was delicious and well-prepared. Special mention to Gunjan at the restaurant for his outstanding service, attentive, warm, and professional. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a comfortable, welcoming, and high-quality stay in Kathmandu.

The room was spacious, beautifully designed, and exceptionally comfortable, offering a welcoming atmosphere that made it easy to relax after a long day. The breakfast was excellent and abundant, with a wide variety of high-quality options to suit every preference. The restaurants were equally impressive, serving delicious dishes prepared with care and refinement. I was also particularly grateful for the thoughtful gesture of being offered a complimentary two-hour late checkout, which made my departure day far more relaxed. In addition, the hotel kindly granted me access to the lounge with its generous buffet while I was waiting for my evening flight — a level of hospitality that truly reflects their commitment to guest comfort. What truly elevated the entire experience was the extraordinary courtesy, kindness, and availability of every single staff member. Their genuine warmth and dedication made me feel valued throughout my stay. Each of them deserves recognition — they would all merit an award for their professionalism and hospitality. It's truly amazing that they managed to create such a peaceful little courtyard in the bustling heart of Tamil Nadu! Plus, you can solve most of your needs right here without even leaving the hotel. I'll definitely be back! Facilities: The garden is perfect for afternoon tea and reading. A bit disappointed I didn't get to try the rooftop yoga this time. Ambiance: Quite good. Breakfast: Comparable to a 3-star hotel in China; it got a bit repetitive by the second day. But it's not a big issue, as many popular breakfast spots are within walking distance. Service: Attentive and reliable, and they don't intrude, which I really appreciate. Special shout-out: The shower water pressure! A must-have for long hair!

The staff here is incredibly helpful and attentive to my needs. They offer free luggage storage and drop-off services at the airport. Even when I was about to take off, they wished me good luck with a small scarf. I highly recommend staying here. I think I’ll be staying here again when I travel to Kathmandu next time.

From the moment I arrived, the service was warm, professional, and consistent throughout my stay. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was calm and welcoming—perfect for both relaxing and unwinding after a busy day. A very special appreciation goes to the reception team, especially Alon and Shreesha. They went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable, always greeting me with genuine warmth and taking care of any requests promptly and thoughtfully. Their kindness and attention to detail really made my experience stand out. The hospitality here is exceptional, and it’s clear the team genuinely cares about their guests. I would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here again.

Nice hotel in the city center with all the conditions I need. There is a good restaurant on the top, and the coffee shop on the ground floor. The service was perfect, the men from reception, his name is Birendra, allowed me to leave my belongings while I was on track, and helped me with all the questions I had.

The hotel service is very professional, the breakfast is rich, and the front desk service is warm and thoughtful. When I asked for water, it was delivered quickly. There is also a hair dryer in the hotel, and the hot water for bathing is very comfortable. Many Chinese people go to other places to find Chinese food, but they find that the most authentic Chinese food is on the ninth floor above the hotel. And the chocolate brownie here is very authentic. It was supposed to be eaten with ice cream, but I asked for hot ice cream, and the hotel immediately made hot ice cream. There is the largest farmer's market in Kathmandu next to the hotel, and 6 big apples cost less than 20 yuan. You can buy all kinds of vegetables and fruits here. Because Kathmandu is often congested, if you connect with a flight, the hotel is very close to the airport, which is another big advantage.
