You can walk to Durbar Square, and there's so much to see along the way – it's a very pleasant stroll. Just 50 meters down the street, you'll find several modern restaurants offering Chinese, Korean, Western, and vegetarian options. The hotel's own restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, though be warned, the food can be quite strong-flavored and salty, so you might want to ask the kitchen to reduce the salt. The staff are all very polite and attentive, always looking out for your needs. The hotel manager is very welcoming and enjoys chatting with guests. When you book a taxi at the front desk, you only pay the fare, with no extra charges. The hotel has just been renovated and is very clean.

The hotel offers an airport pick-up service (fee: 20 USD), which requires one day's advance notice. It's about a 15-minute drive from the airport. The hotel lobby is bright and spacious, and the front desk staff are polite. The room matched the pictures, with plenty of space and wooden furniture, giving it a warm feel. The bathroom was clean, and while the shower pressure was a bit weak, it was acceptable. Breakfast is served from 7-10 AM, and it's a buffet with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, convenient for vegetarians. The hotel's service is truly excellent. If you have any issues, just ask, and the staff are very happy to help and are proactively attentive.

Lakhey Hotel is the best hotel in Kathmandu! The staff are super friendly, check-in is very easy, and they always help me get a taxi. They offered a welcome drink, which was lovely. The boss speaks excellent Chinese and even arranged a trek for me—very satisfying! Hot water is great, breakfast is delicious, and their Sichuan restaurant has amazing food (must try!). After my EBC trek, I stayed here again because I missed Chinese food. Location is nice, rooms are big—I stayed in room 1108 with a beautiful Kathmandu city view. Highly recommend to everyone. This is definitely the first choice for business travelers in Kathmandu. Overall, it's very good. The only issue was that the desk in the room wasn't very functional for working. Another downside was that my flight turned back, so I missed a night, but couldn't get a refund.

I had a wonderful 8-day stay at Mercure Kathmandu Sukedhara Heights and it truly felt like a home away from home. From the moment I arrived, the service was warm, professional, and consistent throughout my stay. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was calm and welcoming—perfect for both relaxing and unwinding after a busy day. A very special appreciation goes to the reception team, especially Alon and Shreesha. They went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable, always greeting me with genuine warmth and taking care of any requests promptly and thoughtfully. Their kindness and attention to detail really made my experience stand out. The hospitality here is exceptional, and it’s clear the team genuinely cares about their guests. I would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here again.

This is a newly built hotel, and it's rare to find such clean bathrooms in Nepal. It's located in a quiet spot at the entrance of Thamel, right next to the Garden of Dreams. While it's a bit far from central areas like Durbar Square, it's a great place to stay if you're looking for peace and quiet at the hotel. Since it seems brand new, the room was exceptionally clean. The bathroom was also spotless, so I felt very comfortable using it. The breakfast area on the 8th floor offered a lovely view. The front desk staff were polite, but during breakfast, I noticed other guests were asked for their egg orders, whereas I wasn't (perhaps because I had already taken scrambled eggs). Also, coffee (other than instant) at breakfast was an extra charge.

The bed is very small and the room is very crowded. The photos on the website look big and bright, but it is not. The curtains on my bed are torn and the shielding is not very good, but there is a beautiful restaurant on the top floor, which is my favorite!

The service was perfect, the men from reception, his name is Birendra, allowed me to leave my belongings while I was on track, and helped me with all the questions I had.

The P2 staff were very enthusiastic, personally guiding us to the room and introducing the amenities. The room was tidy, comfortable, and well-equipped, with particularly satisfying bedding. The housekeeping department responded promptly and with a friendly attitude. To our delight, the hotel also prepared fresh fruits, showcasing their attention to detail. The overall stay was exceptionally pleasant, making us feel genuinely at home. I highly recommend it to everyone and will definitely choose to stay here again next time!
