We only stayed one night in this property. The location is excellent - very close to The Gate of India meaning that you can walk to a number of different places eg colaba causeway. The property itself is quite hidden away and doesn't look that impressive from the outside, however inside it is very well set up. It is quite small so not on the scale of much larger hotels. The staff were extremely helpful and the breakfast in the morning was very good. Despite the central location it was not noisy at night.

Sumit and team were very accommodating to all our requests. Rooms were clean and neat. Breakfast was delicious. Very close to Colaba market. Cut the fruit that we purchased and served to us. Felt like home. Sheetal chemist which was nearby was also very helpful. Has delicious meals at restaurants nearby.

The Hotel is the best budget alternative to the Taj Mahal Hotel in Colaba, Mumbai. It's a trendy hotel with a very professional staff - always ready to help. The rooms and dining area is awesome, and location is perfect!!! If visitors want to stay near the Gateway of India, this is the best option.

Perfect location for visiting Mumbai. The property is in a perfect location in the historic heart of Mumbai within walking distance of Gateway of India and Taj Mahal Palace. Quite close you will also find the Churchgate Station, and the mooring to visit the Elephanta Caves (Elephanta Island). Spacious room, well furnished and very clean. Bathroom quite large but with one flaw... you can't see the plastic shower curtain in a hotel of this level. The room in the evening is not very quiet as it overlooks an internal courtyard, sometimes with guests who are not always polite in respecting the times. Very courteous and helpful staff. Excellent and varied breakfast

Superb location, awesome views, renovated, clean, boutique feel with immaculate super quick service. The restaurant serves food for which people from Mumbai line up in their big cars. Reasonable pricing and if you are on second floor that too awesome. Bathroom is small but quirky and nice. Staff is excellent and offer meaningful suggestions. Gateway is 2 min walk, fountain takes 8 mins to walk, Leopold and montegar are at 1 min walk. The area is still so quite and a drive to Marine drive in taxi costs only 55 rupees by meter. Stay here even if you have budget for Taj.

Spacious, quiet and comfortable room with a few quirks. The internet in my room just never worked, despite multiple attempts to fix it. I ended up using my phone as a hotspot. As others have mentioned, the bathroom is miniscule. But it's Mumbai! And right in the heart of the city where space is at a premium. It was manageable. The bed was nice, hot water plentiful and the room stylish and impeccably clean. Don't order wine from room service! It was like vinegar. Better to buy a nice bottle nearby and ask housekeeping for a glass. However! Having stayed at Abode (literally around the corner in the same building) for half the price and a cool, quirky vibe, I found Gordon House overpriced.
