Very nice hotel. It is affordable in Muscat. The room is not bad, but the windows cannot be opened. The overall facilities are still very good. The breakfast is a bit rough, and there are not many dishes that can be cooked for lunch and dinner, but it's okay. The service of the hotel is still in place. Overall, I can give a 4-star praise.

Arul at the front desk had a very bad attitude and discriminated against Chinese people. I brought some fruit to my friend's room, but he not only refused to deliver it to her room, but also repeatedly blocked her and rolled his eyes.

Hotel is nice. It is close to the airport - about 10-15 min by taxi. The rooftop was open 24/7 so we used the sitting area to drink tea and talk with the friends in the evening - amazing experience. The pool is also in the roof, though has not so much space near the pool to sit. Overall nice experience. Breakfast was fine and had all the things you expect at 3 star hotel.

We were a couple, staying in the apartment for 6 days @omr 10 per day. A large double bed, fluffy pillows,well-lit spacious, spotlessly clean and airy sound -proof room, huge wardrobes, AC worked well, smart TV with high speed wifi and prompt service both from the receptionists and housekeeping staff- all served to make it a comfortable and pleasing stay. Thank you Al Murooj ! On most days, we were attended to by Mr Chandra of the housekeeping staff who was very professional and helpful. A kettle is available in the room , no tea or coffee supplied, no microwave available; staff were willing to warm up food on request. Bath toiletries supplied; no restaurant in the hotel. We got our food delivered from a nearby hotel and there are some coffee shops around and a turkish restaurant below. Nearest mall is around 5 minutes walking distance. Ample parking available.

Brand new hotel and clean. I loved my stay here and will stay here again if I'm ever back in Muscat. There isn't much in the area, but it is up and coming and short commutes to the beach and Mosque. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was pretty good. High Recommend!

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is fresh and clean and the staff pleasant and very helpful. We had some minor hiccups in the room which were attended to politely and swiftly. It is possible to walk to shops and the beach but not convenient. Like most of Muscat, a car is really necessary to make the most of the visit
We are conveniently located in the upscale district of Qurum, known for its lifestyle setting and high-end amenities. Our spacious one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments put you within a five-minute drive from popular attractions such as Qurum National Park and Qurum Beach. Enjoy upscale amenities and service as well as onsite dining, spa, and fitness center.

It has the most powerful kitchen, but it is too inconvenient to cook.
If you stay in an all suites hotel like this, you will definitely need to cook and do laundry. As the latest batch of oman hotels in 2023, this hotel has excellent kitchen hardware. The area is large, the facilities are new, and the brand is solid, even better than most home kitchens.
But the shortcomings are also very helpless. There are no knives, the pot is very small, there is no kitchen kit that can be borrowed, and there is not even basic salt and pepper. If you want to cook, you have to buy your own hardware. Compared with the same brand hotel in Dubai next door, there is a lot of room for improvement.
In addition, the hotel restaurant has not been repaired for 5 months. Therefore, the breakfast is very average (compared to other hotels in the same price range in Oman). Therefore, the hotel's breakfast has also been reduced to 5 OMR.
In terms of distance, the hotel is located in Qurum, and it takes about 20 minutes to drive from the airport. It's a relatively far hotel. But the surrounding life is convenient and close to the scenic spots.
With a stay at Al Falaj Hotel, you'll be centrally located in Muscat, within a 5-minute drive of Muttrah Souq and Muscat Central Business District. This hotel is 1 mi (1.7 km) from Sultan's Armed Forces Museum and 2.2 mi (3.6 km) from Bait Al Baranda Museum.
Take advantage of recreational opportunities offered, including an outdoor pool, a spa tub, and a sauna. Additional amenities at this hotel include complimentary wireless internet access, concierge services, and gift shops/newsstands.
For lunch or dinner, stop by Souq Café, a restaurant that specializes in international cuisine. Dining is also available at the coffee shop/cafe, and 24-hour room service is provided. Relax with a refreshing drink at one of the 3 bars/lounges. Continental breakfasts are available daily from 6 AM to 10 AM for a fee.
Featured amenities include a business center, limo/town car service, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. Event facilities at this hotel consist of conference space and a meeting room. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free valet parking is available onsite.
Make yourself at home in one of the 150 guestrooms featuring minibars and DVD players. LCD televisions with satellite programming provide entertainment, while complimentary wireless internet access keeps you connected. Bathrooms feature showers, complimentary toiletries, and bidets. Conveniences include phones, as well as safes and desks.

Outstanding
Lluke_middlebrookStaying at the Shangri La Al Husn Muscat has been one of the highlights of our time in the Middle East.
We decided to go for my girlfriends birthday and the team worked exceptionally well with me to deliver a unforgettable experience.
Getting to the Shangri La was a bit of a challenge and taxis do not come cheap in Oman. Though it was not challenging I do wish there was a pickup/drop off option for the guests.
The inclusive breakfast was wonderful and ordering off the menu assured that everything you ordered stayed fresh. There was a mixup with our order due to a language barrier but the food was still phenomenal.
The in room breakfast and room service was a highlight as it allowed you to take full advantage of the room and with the inbuilt heaters in the dining table assured the food stayed hot. The value for money on in room dining was disappointing as an order of a burger and fries came with a small amount of fries, however that was fixed with our next order.
The afternoon tea was delicious, highlights being the fromage and watermelon and the scones. Each afternoon tea was different and kept the palate excited.
The happy hour beverages were also included and always came with a suprise canapé from the restaurant.
In terms of the staycation, it was perfect. The interior and exterior of the hotel is beautiful and the sound of the ocean left you relaxed for the stay.
I would like to raise that there was a lot of sealife by the beach which deterred us from swimming in the sea as we had heard a lot about the Omani coast and didn’t have much confidence in the beach patrol and lifeguards there. We noticed some playing on their phones but they were always happy to assist taking a picture for the two of us. I would suggest a more upfront approach when it comes to what you can expect in the sea there.
A visitors lounge was also available allowing you to take full opportunity of the facilities till you left for your next adventure.
GGuest UserEverything from the moment we checked-in till we left, was perfect the staff were really cheerful and welcoming, rooms are amazing, facilities were beautiful the food was so delicious. I simply enjoyed my stay and would definitely comeback and recommend the hotel to my friends
ZZhualiceOne of the best five-star hotels in Oman. The entire hotel is surrounded by mountains and rivers, facing the sea. The hotel lobby on the 4th floor displays Arabic style. The room was upgraded to a pool view for free, which was nice. The breakfast restaurant is right next to the infinity pool, which is really pleasing to the eye, and the breakfast dishes are also extremely rich. The hotel also offers a variety of paid activities to explore Oman. It was the birthday of a friend who was traveling with us, so the hotel decorated the room. The hotel's China mood is also the best Chinese restaurant in Oman.
GGuest UserThe staff is great, attentive, full of little touches throughout our stay which are a pleasure.
The chef is incredibly kind, his dishes are very good.
A big thank you to Nancy, chef Hemraj and the restaurant manager.
We had a great stay.
NNataliia P.Kempinski left a great impression. Elegant, discreet, noble, minimalist hotel. Since the sea is nearby, there is a specific smell in the room due to the constant humidity, although this may be because the room was on the 0th floor. Immediately after cleaning it disappears, but then appears again. My accommodation option is HB. For those who love to eat delicious food, this is the smartest choice. Dinners are very varied, there really is something for every taste: meat, fish, desserts, appetizers - the variety is simply mind-boggling! Themed dinners are also organized. Thus, one of the evenings was dedicated to Turkish cuisine. The pool is great. There are even 2 of them. One with access to the beach. The beach may not be the most impressive. Here, depending on what you compare with. The hotel area is small. There is an area around where many expats live. A few steps away is a pleasant embankment, with a yacht pier, numerous cafes, and a shopping center. A wonderful option for walking, either in the morning or in the evening. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. They remember all your preferences the first time and are always ready to help. On the eve of check-in, I received a questionnaire in which the hotel asked me to indicate my wishes and preferences. I wrote about a later check-out and the hotel confirmed this possibility to me without charging additional payment.
GGuest UserRecently stayed at the Grand Millennium in Muscat, Oman. Having driven from Dubai, on arrival there was no valet parking but the Porter was instantly present to take care of the luggage which was efficiently dispatched to my room. Mr Ashraf at check-in was exemplary and continued to be so for my 14 day stay. I had initially booked a club room and Arhab, the chief steward in the Club Lounge, was very helpful and delivered excellent service. The Grand Millennium has a roof-top pool with fantastic views over Muscat City to the Gulf of Oman on the horizon. There is also a poolside bar (where Amy the bartender gently delivers fresh, cooling watermelon to your sun lounger) and an impressive roof-top tennis court. Mr Wilson the friendly Spa Manager can arrange swimming lessons and tennis coaching. Whilst I didn’t take advantage of the lessons, I did use the gym, the jacuzzi and the steam room/sauna on the ground floor where I was warmly greeted regularly by the effervescent and kind personality that is Safiya who would also present me with a complimentary bottle of water for my workout. The room itself is a good size. The bathroom has a separate bath and a walk-in rain shower. Housekeeping is attentive and efficient, both Mohammed A & Mohammed I were very helpful. The breakfast buffet requires some attention, it was lacking in content and not very inspiring. The breakfast service itself was also equally uninspiring. In this mediocre environment two individuals that stood out were Sultan and the lady chef, both were excellent and on point. The hotel links directly via a short indoor walkway into the Muscat Grand Mall where there is a food court with an array of international food outlets and a number of coffee shops and cafes. There is also a Carrefour supermarket in the mall which sells ready to eat hot food and snacks. The Al Rifai nuts concession in the Grand Mall is worth checking out. Oman Avenues Mall and a LuLu Hypermarket are within a short walk. The LuLu also serves ready to eat hot food/snacks. If you have your own transport the local drive-in cafe/fast food establishments are pretty good and deliver a hot cup of Karak Chai directly to your car. Overall I enjoyed my stay and I would stay at this hotel again.
GGuest UserLocation right on the lively pedestrian zone at the harbor. Solid 4* hotel with outstanding service. Unfortunately, the rooftop bar is only open in the evenings.
AAnonymous UserI loved my stay at the Sheraton Oman. The staff were wonderful- they bent over backwards to help us.
I had a couple minor issues with my room, and they came as soon as I informed them, and were fixed immediately. One of the housekeepers picked up the robe I’d been using when they were cleaning and when I asked for a replacement they brought 2 more! They were happy to bring me extra nespresso pods and milk a couple times too.
The restaurant staff were so attentive and helpful- Tharindu, Pravda and Khalid and the chef, Krishna- they brought us out coffees and juices at breakfast and made sure I had everything I needed. They allowed my friend and I to eat off the a la carte menu at dinner instead of the iftar menu, since the other hotel restaurants were closed for Ramadan; and when we said we had to leave early at 5am for our flight they packed a lovely to-go box with pastries, fruit, coffee, juice and eggs.
I personally really appreciated that the gym was open 24 hours so I could work out before breakfast, and the equipment was pretty good for a hotel gym!
My only note for other travelers would be that the hotel is a little far from some of the touristy sights of Muscat. Also, there aren’t many alternative food options around the hotel. But the hotel itself has lots of great options so for us it worked out absolutely fine.
GGuest UserI stayed for three or four nights. The hotel is a little remote and, in May, the outside temperature too high however I slept well, I liked the Belgian and Thai restaurants and enjoyed the gym. As ever, people matter more than places. I was cheered by Jennifer’s friendly greeting at breakfast, Jay was prompt to resolve my urge for chocolate and, above all I must praise Khaled who calmly helped with what was, for me, a printing crisis.
GGuest UserThe hotel is 7 or 8 minutes walk from Qurum Beach, convenient to see the sea view, but there is no large business super nearby, restaurant. I am a girl, traveling alone, and the stay experience at this hotel is very poor. First of all, the taxi at the entrance of the hotel is the hotel's internal car team. The slaughter of passengers is serious and unreasonable. I took it once. The original fare of 5 rias was charged 10 rias. Finally, I took a more detour. When getting off the bus, the Arab driver shouted at me for 2 more riya, quite rude. When I left, I had to take a taxi to the airport and stopped a taxi at the door, but the uncle of the hotel taxi team called the other taxis and forced my luggage to his own trunk, not saying that they had to take the same price. I was angry, but they were unreasonable, and they argued with each other. I called the manager of the hotel, and the manager looked at it and then stood by! Secondly, during my stay, I was knocked on the door by a local drunk man in the next room. I later learned that this hotel has a bar, and the local wind is not good. I did see some local young ladies in and out of the evening dressed in cool clothes. . . The above wrote his own experience, hope to provide reference for the countrymen.
