Managed to check in earlier than appointed time. Dorms including washroom & shower areas are clean, comfy mattresses. 5mins walk to Nagano train station. Next to the accomodation is a 24hr supermarket.

Stopped here during my 14 days JR pass travel and originally only reserved one night as I was trying to max out my pass. But I needed a longer rest and this relaxing hostel was ideal. Short walk from train station and Zenkoji Temple as it’s perfectly situated downtown. Downstairs has a cafe which you can freely use the drink bar and seating after hours was a nice plus! I slept like a dream in the capsule style bunks too. Highly recommended. Made some nice friends here too 🙂

This is great guesthouses for travelers in Nagano city.

Great hostel! The female dormitory was huge but each bed cubicle was closed off and the showers were separated into individual rooms so there was a sense of privacy. Everything was super clean. Would come back!

The largest female dorm I have been to - 26 beds. However, the place is squeaky clean. The bed sheets were really 'crisp'.

The location is very good in front of Nagano Station. All the facilities are clean and there are no problems. It is a dormitory, but I was able to stay comfortably. I wish there was a little more common space, but I guess it can't be helped, since you can use the cafe space on the first floor after 10pm. I think this is a hostel that I would recommend to those who want to travel on a budget.

Very low price for the night (fortunately). Huge dormitory! With consequently a constant coming and going and the many nuisances (and smell) shared. Hope you're not near the front door... Small locker only, your luggage remains free. Do not accommodate special requests when booking. No luggage storage apparently.

The front desk of the youth hostel is open until 22:00. Entry after 22:00 requires an access code. The room requires a room card to enter. It is relatively safe and suitable for traveling alone or in a group.

I always use it. There is a hair dryer and hair iron (for both curling and straightening), so if you bring a bath towel and a toothbrush, you can get by without any amenities. If you wear makeup, it's a good idea to bring cleansing and face wash with you. There is a shelf just above the pillow large enough to hold a smartphone, an A-type (standard Japanese) outlet, and an A-type (square rectangular) USB. There are also about two hangers, so you can place clothes the length of a suit jacket on them without them getting wrinkled. They also accommodate late check-ins, which is helpful.

Even after entering the building, it's a hassle to have to recite a code to open the door every time you want to use the toilet or shower. The last reception is at 10pm, but it's nice that you can enter (check in) after that.

It was close to the station and very reasonably priced. I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity.

It was easy to use and I have never had any complaints. It is near the downtown area and I was woken up in the middle of the night by drunk people's voices, but the location, service and cleanliness were perfect.
