Our decision to stay at Corbett Wild Iris Resort and Spa during our visit to Jim Corbett National Park turned out to be an adventure from the start. The online booking led us to Ramnagar, followed by a drive through the forest with some rough patches due to ongoing road construction. Crossing a river without a bridge added an unexpected thrill to our journey—an adventure we embraced with enthusiasm. Upon reaching the resort, we found it to be an average place, consistent with the tendency of many resorts to overstate their offerings. It is rated as a 4 star resort but I will call it a 3 star resort after rooms are properly renovated. The rooms, in particular, required serious maintenance and upkeep. However, what truly stood out were the staff and the food. The team went above and beyond their duty, displaying remarkable helpfulness that enhanced our overall experience. For those who relish adventure, maintain a rustic outlook, and approach uncertainties with a "take it as it comes" attitude, this resort is a good fit. It might not cater to those seeking luxury or impeccable facilities, but it offers a unique charm for individuals who appreciate the journey as much as the destination. It's a place where the warmth of the staff and the culinary delights overshadow the shortcomings in infrastructure.
