The White Hart

The young man behind the bar was extremely rude, arrogant and has no customer service skills whatsoever. This is the second time I’ve had the displeasure of coming into contact with this man. I would not return to this restaurant as I would not want to waste my money and be spoken to by a very brusque and curt bar tender. Get new bar staff please!!

Just returned from a lovely two night stay at The White Hart. Booked B & B and Dinner on both nights. On arrival we found lots of car parking spaces (enter your car reg to gain permission), simple to follow directions to a very helpful Reception area and lovely staff to show us to our room ~ which was in a building at the back of the Main Pub. Throughout our stay we found all of the staff very helpful, friendly and efficient. The Dining Room/Bar are very nicely appointed, spacious and in keeping with the age of the building. The food was absolutely outstanding....... on the first night we had the Fillet Steak with additional sauces; we both agreed it was probably the very best steak we'd ever tasted, so well cooked and beautifully presented. Chips are to die for! Service was quick and efficient. Breakfast ~ great food with multiple choices and some self-service choices Second dinner equally as delicious and again perfectly prepared. The room we were allocated on the ground-floor was a little tired and in need of some updating/TLC (as has been mentioned by previous reviewers). Compliments to the Chef & Staff ~ You're doing a wonderful job! ~oOo~

We booked a table for 9 of us for lunch, and said we could order the food before coming, this offer was declined. The machine to register car numbers was by an unmarked half step. The manager who took our food order was brusque, not welcoming at all and almost rude. We were eventually told the fish cakes 4 of us had ordered were unavailable. A meagre bowl of soup was pretty tasteless, and one portion was completely unacceptable as it was mostly milk or water. There was one delightful young waitress who couldn’t have been more helpful but alas the atmosphere was very unpleasant due to poor managerial skills.

What a lovely place. We stayed over for one night on a package which included a chateaubriand dinner. The steak was absolutely amazing. So delicious and a great choice of tasty sides. We had a really lovely spacious room with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was also really tasty. Can’t wait to visit again. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

It was very nice other than I banged my head on the support beam 3 times. 5 stars.

Just had an overnight stay at the White Hart. Would definitely recommend the pub/hotel. Our room was very large and comfortable. The evening meal was great - just wish I had a larger appetite. There was plenty of choice and our meal ( plus seeing the other food leaving the kitchen) was really good. Similarly our breakfast was just perfect. The pub has plenty of parking and there is an outside seating area for pre dinner drinks. Henley is about 15 mins away and this is a perfect pub to stay away if you want to visit the area. I should add that all the staff were very friendly and very professional.

We have just got back from a two night stay here and we loved the place Very central to visit Henley or Oxford We found the staff very friendly and attentive food was excellent ( chateau briand was amazing) rooms were very spacious and the internet was very good to Definitely want to go back there again sometime

Simply the best!. Ambience, Food, staff,accommodation was first class. Prawns Pil Pil highly recommend. thank you White Hart for a fabulous two night break. The village is so lovely and convenient for many beautiful areas of natural beauty.
