Broad Street Inn

Innkeepers were very kind and helpful. The room was just right. Very clean and comfortable. The coffee room was well stocked, enough to cobble a little something in the morning. The price was very affordable considering the location and the quality. Definitely will stay here again.

The Broad Street Inn is a wonderful escape from city life! We have stayed here before and appreciate the fact that it is quiet, comfortable and within walking distance of downtown Nevada City. Ron and Julie are very receptive hosts and provide what one needs to start one's day in California history. I highly recommend the Broad Street Inn!

We stayed at the Broad Street Inn for five nights in June 2024, and we could not have been happier with our stay. Our room was cosy, quiet, and comfortable. Even though it was small, it was well-appointed. We had absolutely everything we needed, from storage space, to an iron, to accessible outlets, to fluffy towels and a hair dryer. There was good a/c and a ceiling fan. Although the Broad Street Inn does not market itself as a B&B, they still offer delicious fresh coffee, fresh fruit, oatmeal, and Ron's delicious homemade biscotti every morning in the sun room -- which was plenty for us! The backyard garden space was large, shady, and peaceful. It was a great place to take a break during a hot, busy day. And we appreciated the on-site fridge and ice-machine too. On-street parking was never a problem. Yet what really made the Broad Street Inn special were our hosts, Julie and Ron. They couldn't have been kinder and more accommodating. They helped us with everything we needed during our stay -- and always with genuine warmth. We felt like we were staying with friends. Their level of care and hospitality is exceptional. Broad Street Inn has a homey, historic feel to it. It is charming and super-welcoming. I recommend it wholeheartedly.

To start, the location of this inn is within walking distance to all of the "downtown" Nevada City shops and restaurants. I was greeted by one of the owners, Julie, who is as friendly as can be, and full of information about the area. Her restaurant and hiking suggestions were spot on. I stayed in the Carriage House, a lovely unit at the back of the property. It has a large living room, fully stocked kitchen, very comfy bed, and a bathroom with a shower/tub. Everything was spotlessly clean. The whole unit is very nicely decorated and super relaxing. There was no problem finding parking in front of, or next to, the inn. The beautiful garden is peaceful and full of flowers, attracting numerous birds, butterflies and hummingbirds. Morning offerings in the main inn sunroom include coffee, tea, biscotti, packets of oatmeal and fruit. The entire stay was wonderfully relaxing, although I found lots to do in the area as well! I hope to return for another stay at this delightful inn!

My husband and I were in Nevada City for a wedding and declined the expensive National Hotel group rate for the Inn as it had gotten good reviews. What a great decision. The hosts were very nice. The room was perfectly located for a nice daily walk. Comfortable beds and just the right temperature as the house has one choice. They did provide a heater if you were cold and ceiling fans were above the bed. Also we had a tv which our family staying at The National did not.

The Broad Street Inn is an absolutely delightful place to stay while visiting Nevada City and the surrounding area. The location is ideal for walking to the downtown area and the nearby Deer Creek trailhead. Our room was comfortable and super clean (as was the entire property). The second floor sunroom was nicely stocked with coffee, tea, fresh fruit and irresistible homemade biscotti. There was plenty of clean and comfortable outdoor seating on the front porch and spacious back yard. Julie and Ron are friendly, gracious and welcoming hosts. The Broad Street Inn's 5 Star status is well deserved!

Broad Street Inn is a lovely inn and a short walking distance to downtown Nevada City restaurants and shops. The inn and grounds are well maintained, clean and cozy and the hosts - Ron and Julie - are friendly and helpful. Each room is beautifully decorated. While no breakfast is served, there is fruit, oatmeal packages, and delicious biscotti available in the upstairs sun room. Coffee, tea, a refrigerator and microwave are also available for guests. I highly recommend!

This place is a real gem! Perfect location at the top of Broad Street with only a quick walk to historic Nevada City restaurants and shopping. Also just blocks away from the entrance to Deer Creek Trail - a must do hike! The Inn itself was super cozy and exceptionally clean! The owners are super nice people which I really enjoyed talking to. I will definitely return!

Wonderful, charming, quiet, historic and affordable inn on the edge of downtown. The inn's owners, Julie and Ron, are friendly and were so helpful to us with local recommendations on hikes, restaurants, historical places. We were three couples on a weekend visit to see a musical performance at the Miners Foundry. We were able to ditch the car and walk to the concert and restaurants. We enjoyed hiking the Deer Creek Tribute Trail without needing to drive to a trailhead. Rooms are small but wonderfully appointed with comfy beds. And we were encouraged to use the downstairs parlor for gathering. We also appreciated the quiet hours posted for 9 to 9. We all agreed we want to return. Thank you for the morning coffee and homemade biscotti!
