The only good thing about the hotel is location. Rest everything sucks big time. There was no Hot Water for the shower in the rooms, had to shower with ice cold water and eventually caught cold. The Carpet smelled so bad and the corridor floors were dirty. Guest Services staff was super rude and cleaning staff kept knocking on the door even if Do no disturb sign was on. No Sound proofing, Super noisy when neighbouring doors are opened / closed. No Late checkout provided, no water in rooms. Far from 4 star hotel, more like a motel.

Great place to stay! Right on Bourbon and Canal Streets! Only downside was trying to drop off luggage and valet the car off of Canal can be tricky.

We booked this trip for a birthday treat. We thought the room was spacious, clean & had a massive TV. We had a bath & shower & a king sized bed. It’s next to Bourbon Street so loud music but earplugs are supplied. Reception staff are extremely helpful & provide recommended restaurants & places that deliver food to the hotel We didn’t use the gym or pool but would highly recommend this hotel for location. 5 mins from the Mississippi River

Quality of the building is not so good (old) and the staff member is not so friendly

To check into the room was a breeze. The customer service rep was excellent at his job and even helped me get information about a tour I had booked. The room itself was shabby or well worn looking and smelled. Maid service was good in that the bed was made everyday, but the bed itself was lumpy. There were rust stains in the bathtub. To step outside to smoke a cigarette, one is bombarded with homeless people asking for money or cigarettes. Seems more could have been done to safeguard guests standing in front of the hotel waiting for something or just getting a breath of fresh air from such harassment. I then found out there was a balcony on the 2nd floor where guests could go to smoke their cigarette. The view from the balcony is excellent as it looks right down on Burbon Street, what a treat. Spending days exploring the city and later going to the balcony in the evenings became a routine for me. That is until one night leaving the balcony heading toward the elevator I ran up upon a woman who was stooped down peeing on the floor by the wall that has a picture of a lady with a piece of paper over her eyes. There were bathrooms on the second floor, so I couldn't understand why she would do that. I guess that speaks to the type of person she is. I was appalled. If that is a representation of the type of people who book rooms at the Astor, then that hotel is not the hotel for me! No, I will never stay there again

The hotel is close with every where. And it is quite to rest. It is super Clean in my room. But I was on the 9 floors. The lights around hallway dark. Overall is excellent.

I loved the location (this was my second stay here) and the desk staff provided the best customer service, however the beds where to firm, the blankets were that of hospital blankets(Im a nurse) and we asked for extra blankets for three days never got them. One day i called guest services four times by the forth call i was told they didnt have anymore. Being able to sleep is important especially on vacation so don't know if i can stay here again regardless.

We arrived about two hours early and they got us right into our rooms. The woman at the front desk was lovely. She was working alone and there was a pretty steady flow of people and she was absolutely delightful to everyone coming in. I am sorry that I didn't get her name to send in a compliment to her management team. I would say the only complaint about our rooms is that the bathrooms did not have any ventilation so the rooms were a bit musty smelling.

We have stayed at The Astor Crown multiple times, and this time it was feeling a little run down. There was some kind of problem with the plumbing in our bathroom. Not only was the sink draining very slowly, but something was causing it to back up from the bottom, so when We would return after an afternoon out, the sink would either have dirty water in it, or there would be dirty film because dirty water had bubbled up through the drain, then drained out but left the dirt behind. We notified the front desk, but nothing changed. The safe in our room wasn't working when we checked in, But they did fix that. While the hotel has a convenient location right on the corner of Bourbon and Canal Streets, the area has gotten rougher, so I didn't feel safe walking back to the hotel late at night, and I would not have walked alone there as a single woman. That is definitely not the hotel's fault, though. The beds are comfortable, and the hotel is an easy walk to everything you want to do. I hope they get the maintenance issues cleared up.

Staff was insurmountably rude. Rude beyond comparison. The definition of rude. Prejudice, disrespectful, rude, mean, and downright wrong. Just veryyyy very rude. I don’t know how to explain it more but they were insignificantly rude. Rude. R.U.D.E. But other than that, it was a very beautiful and clean hotel. And everywhere else in New Orleans, the people were super nice.

The room didn’t come with an actual blanket and the thermostat only had 2 temperatures, frigid cold or brutally hot. We called several time for several days for towels, blankets, toilet paper, trash bags etc. and didn’t receive. In our 4 day stay our was only cleaned once, if you’d even actually call it a cleaning.

Called multiple times to get a mini fridge that worked never got it. There was a major spill at 6am that when they vacuumed hit my foor a few times.
