The check in is smooth, the building is old but its just alittle bit uncomfortable because some of the beds are old and broken. This is just can to sleep for a day. We forgot the slipper of my wife and called the hotel right away and they found it and kept it for us for couple of hours. Kudos to the front desk.

The staff was nice & helpful & accommodating. The location of the hotel was convenient & central. My issue is that the room was more basic than expected so it was a bit of a nuisance. There was no sort of refrigeration to store anything to drink as well as no microwave or anything to heat food up. There was also no room phone so you would have to traverse all the way down to the front desk by stairs if you needed to even simply ask a question since the elevator only worked about half the time I was there.

If you want a weekly or monthly stay with Section 8 or HUD housing this is your place. This is not a vacation rental or Hotel, this is a homeless shelter in New Orleans. Homework taped to doors, bicycles and bbq’s on every porch. Pool as nd Hot Tub are closed. Women of the night are outside and ready for night entertainment. Not safe for children or adults.
Motel staff is unprofessional and rude. This is not a vacation resort or hotel. THIS IS A WEEKLY HOUSING FACILITY NOT A HOTEL OR MOTEL

Beds are comfortable but that is probably the only positive thing about this place. The area is unsafe. AND THE WATER...there is no hot water unless you want to let it run for 45 minutes! Then to top it off, the bathroom door would not close and the 1 of the 2 room we had smelled of vomit. It was a rough night to say the least.

The price was reasonable. I was staying at the Midtown Hotel for one week, visiting NO for a conference (held at the Morial Convention Centre) in March '24 and I did not see any special problems or issues. The bed sheets were clean and the staff was nice. There was always hot water in the evening. However, the water was always only "room temperature" from 5:30 AM - 8:30 AM, regardless of how long the tap was running. Inside the hotel - it was clean, outside so-so. The neighbourhood is poor but seemed safe. There are good public transport connections /bus stations nearby - I've used the Le Pass app and/or Google Maps. The location may not be suitable for vulnerable people.
