The hotel is right next to New York University, which is convenient for visiting friends there, but the hotel room is not big and the bed is not big.

The location of the hotel is close to New York University. I wanted to experience a hotel with history, but the experience is very bad. The whole hotel is like a guest house with poor sound insulation and small rooms. In a word, it is old and small.

This was my first stay at the Marlton Hotel in NYC. I will definitely be back. The entire vibe of the hotel was modern with timeless, classic touches. My room was on the small side, though it was very well appointed. The bed was comfortable, the room was quiet and the AC provided excellent cooling. I had a nice view of an interior terrace/ garden area. The bathroom was extra small. However, it worked fine for my needs. It was a beautiful space with classic marble and tile. The staff were friendly and helpful. Especially the porter who assisted me. We had cocktails in the hotel lounge and dinner at the restaurant. Excellent service as well as tasty food and drink.

I adored this hotel, the place is its own thing, with bohemian locals hanging out in the lobby every day. It has an intense laptop/coffee culture. beautiful fireplace. The restaurant is lovely, and so original, shout out to the wall tiles! Staff are super friendly here. But the bar staff I found to be disinterested and a lot of rules for a small area, eat here, coffee only here, can’t sit there etc. as a woman who travels alone, it can be intimidating in bars and it was packed all evenings I tried to get a drink there and so I retired to my room with it instead. Rooms are very small, but tastefully appointed, with everything you need. The hotel is in a really wonderful location, steps from Washington Square Park — which was fabulous on Sundays with music and vibes. I would return happily. (Reception staff were lovely)

Quaint older hotel with character and charm, but the floors and paint are looking pretty worn. Rooms are tiny even for New York and the one I was in faced a brick wall so felt extra claustrophobic. Shower should be illegal it had such great water pressure! Avoid the rooms by the door to the stair/elevator on each floor. The breakfast in the skylight restaurant was lovely.

Absolutely loved my stay here. Staff was incredible and my room perfectly comfortable. Great location— close to NYU, the subway and perfectly close to Greenwich Village local color.

We stayed at The Marlton Sept 3-5th. What a gem of a hotel!!! The history of this building takes center stage and brings an elegance from a bygone era. The rooms are small but well thought out. The breakfast is generous and delicious!!! The location is perfect. We will be back!
