Great location and for the price cannot fault the hotel friendly and helpful staff facilities were basic but again reflects in the price drink prices were reasonable especially as they do an happy hours

The location is a bit far from the city center, and you have to pass through an abandoned building before reaching the hostel. Additionally, the toilet is somewhat humid.

Lovely facilities. Staffs were friendly and the services was awesome. Would definitely recommend it to my friends.

The 4-person female dormitory has a lot of space, with separate toilets, sofas, TVs, tables and chairs, but the location is a bit quiet, so be careful when going out alone in the morning and evening

Its nice hostel late check in and staff always smiling, gives u feeling that you are welcome the breakfast was okay for the price, i loved the pizza fresh and with discount , beds is comfortable and bathroom is ao clean only the access card stopped working fir few rime i think they need to replace it, in general i loved the place 100% Recommended

a great hostel , good size of room & good shower & great bed , if i had stayed longer than than one day i would of tried the bar , not far from the train & city centre & st james park stadium a very good location hope to stay here again and spend longer here

Stayed for one night. Very centrally located hostel style accomodtion in old Carliol Square in town. Spacious and stylish reception area, acessible with assisted lift for wheelchair/scooter access operated by pleasant efficient staff. Large bar/cafe area, nice to meet friends for a drink or coffee. Booked private king room with en suite bathroom. Slept really well on comfy beds . Nice and clean. Bags can be stored for you in reception at £2 per bag while you shop or explore in town.

I stayed at Kabannas as I was working in Newcastle for the week. I was a little nervous as I had never stayed in a hostel by myself before this trip, but after having such a great experience with Newcastle Kabannas it left me feeling confident and satisfied with my stay. The staff were lovely and the hostel was very clean and modern. I would recommend this hostel to anyone who is looking for a cheap, safe and friendly accommodation while traveling for any reason.

Excellent stay Staff were very friendly. Good location near centre. Buses nearby. Room was huge and spotlessly clean Shower excellent. The only downside was the curtains don't fill all of the window and the TV didn't have a signal but that didn't bother us Absolute bargain. Will be back

Staff were lovely and helpful Private Room was basic & clean beds very comfy i slept well. It's a big room could of done with bathroom being a little bit bigger. Downside tv is on side wall next to bed,hardly any signal got told aerial was busted luck of the draw if you get a signal. Window didn't stay open had to prop it open with pillow And it would be great if room had decent curtains they didn't shut properly. Unfortunately the site is situated right in between 2 building sites so the area looks quite run down at the moment I'd stay here again but not at the price I paid

I organised a stay here for 19 people, from start to finish staff were extremely helpful with all matters. The rooms were perfect and better than what you’d expect from a hostel. We weren’t bothered by staff although having a large group of boys there for a stag do. Any queries we had throughout the weekend were answered by staff mostly Jade who was excellent with us all weekend not only helping us with advice about Newcastle and booking taxis but also having a laugh at the same time. I’d struggle to book somewhere else when I return to Newcastle.

I spent 10 nights here Very helpful staff Accomodation is bright and clean Room has an electric heater kept me warm at night I was in a 4 bunk room that had a shower and toilet The water was always hot Has a nice bar which serves a continental breakfast for £5 it's best to go to town for breakfast and meals Very central location 15mins walk to train station Has a laundry in the basement with 2 old washing machines and a dryer My sheets had blood stains on them and the bathroom door was very squeaky can be busy on the weekend They make great sausage rolls. Lift to upper floors Good value for money. £114 for 10 nights
