St Bernards

A very high-quality guesthouse – more like a hotel really. Nicely decorated and fitted out with a high standard of facilities such as a guest lounge, bathrobes in the rooms etc. Very friendly and helpful host with lots of useful info about the local area, and very convenient location, easy walking distance from the train station, bus stop for the airport bus, shops and beaches. Highly recommended.

I stayed at St Bernards Guesthouse on my own for 3 nights and had the most enjoyable stay I have ever had at any other Guesthouse. I arrived at 11 am and was not supposed to check in until 1pm, but the hosts were able to have my room ready by about 12pm and they allowed me to check in early at no extra cost. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming and they had a wealth of information on things to see and do during my time in Newquay. The accommodation was beautiful, spotless and my room was lovely and cosy, as was the bed. Breakfast was amazing and such a wonderful choice of food and drinks. I did not want to go home. I would definitely stay there again and I would like to thank the hosts for my wonderful stay.

Great location, comfortable and clean. We stopped while walking the SW Path. Great service and quite frankly we had just spent three days in a 5Start resort hotel in Padstow and the breakfast at St Benards was way better. While I was checking out, two elderly ladies arrived, at 9AM, obviously way too early for check in. Instead of barking at the them as most hoteliers might, they were offered tea and a waiting area. How nice is that.

If we could give ten stars - we would. I am disabled with mobility issues and we didn’t a week over the early May bank holiday with Paul and Chantelle. With us was our bouncy doggo Hardy. P&C could not have been more caring and helpful. Too many little kindnesses to mention. Helping move me about, helping with luggage, making sure I didn’t slip. Every day a home-made cake was available to just grab a slice. The public areas and rooms are beautifully decorated. A super breakfast every day and when we left early to go on a day trip Paul provided us with a sandwich to take with and helped load us into our van. The location of the property is ideal- walking distance to beaches and lots of pubs, restaurants and shopping close by. Thanks to both of you for taking such good care of me. I can’t tell you how much we appreciated your kindness. We will be back!

Extremely comfortable room. Very well situated in the heart of Newquay and close to the Train and Bus Stations. The host offered an extremely reasonable deal on parking at his car park nearby whilst we walked part of the South West Coast Path.

This is a comfortable,clean & cozy guesthouse, situated very near Newquay town centre.I really enjoyed my stay here, everything was perfect,the cooked breakfast was excellent,the bed was very comfortable & I had a wonderful sleep.

Cozy little B&B in central Newquay. Everything you would expect plus extra touches such as an alexa and a bathrobe. Room was spotless and comfortable.
