Mama Shelter was certainly different. Which we liked. Cocktails weren’t great, the pool was always full so couldn’t get to the pool. The air con wasn’t great so we moved rooms. Staff were really helpful, great location, beds changed every day with lovely clean fluffy towels. I’d recommend staying here if you want something in a great location in Nice. A nice walk to the Port and a bit further into the city and old town. Thanks for a lovely stay. Not sure about the masks on the lamps but all good fun.

Le Mama Shelter de Nice est top, l'emplacement est parfait proche de la vieille ville. La déco, les chambres, le petit dej est fabuleux, le rooftop et sa piscine. Pour en avoir fait des hotels dans le monde et d'autres Mama Shelter je peux dire sans détour que le Mama Shelter de Nice a le personnel le plus empathique et le plus pro que je n'ai jamais connu ailleurs même les grand hotels devraient en prendre exemple une politesse une gentillesse. Un personnel souriant, chaleureux une mention toute particulière pour Tess qui durant notre séjour était aux petits soins, toujours souriante, adorable avec notre petit chien. Elle est très à l'écoute des clients, professionnelle elle vous fait sentir chez vous. Tess vous accueille au restaurant, bavarde avec vous et vous fait sentir chez vous. J'aurai été son employeur je la garderais précieusement pour l'établissement on voit qu'elle aime son métier.

We stayed at the Mama Shelter hotel in Nice for 5 nights. The property is beautiful including the lobby, restaurant, rooftop restaurant and pool. Our first room was on the ground floor and the window opened onto the street. We moved to the top floor after the first night to a room with a beautiful view. The air conditioning was not working properly while we were visiting. I think that they will get this situation fixed shortly. Fred the front desk manager did all he could in this difficult situation. The buffet breakfast was the best we have had in Europe. The neighborhood is residential and a longer and quieter walk back in the evenings from the busy places in Nice than we would have liked. If this hotel were in a better location it could be one of the best in Nice.

Nous sommes venus manger entre amis le midi, au roof top. La décoration générale, vraiment très réussie, aussi bien à l’intérieur qu’à l’extérieur. Bonne ambiance et cocktail sympa … malheureusement la cuisine n’est pas tout à fait au rendez vous, et le service catastrophique : le serveur au demeurant sympathique a simplement disparu en fin de repas (!!!) et tout était très long. Bref, dommage car très bel endroit.

Je n’ai pas apprécié les 3 entrées que j’ai commandées. Je dirai même pas bonnes. Je l’ai signalé au personnel de salle qui ont fait remonter en cuisine mes commentaires. Artichauts ne sont pas frais mais la cuisine maintient que oui. J’adore les artichauts et pour moi il s’agit d’artichauts en bocaux. Les sardines semblent être fraîches et non pas des sardines en boîte mais elles étaient peu goûteuses et surtout 3 mini sardines. Quant au caviar d’aubergines, cela ressemblait à de la bouillie. Je ne l’ai pas mangée. Première expérience que je ne renouvèlerai pas. Le personnel est accueillant. J'invite la Direction et le personnel à tester ces 3 entrées. Jamais plus dans ce restaurant. A peine ouvert et déjà des critiques.

I tried the rooftop.
