Hotels in Nice Waterfront, Nice

We stayed here in July. Booked two rooms - a superior room facing the promenade and a regular room with a city view. The sea facing room had a fantastic view but very tiny. The regular room was on the 5th floor. Had views of the mountains/hills and was massive. I was so worried prior to checking in given the bad reviews here. I noticed though that for some reason most Nice hotels have bad reviews! I had nothing to worry about at all. We arrived before 2PM and had our room right away. No issues with rude staff whatsoever. And no noise issues with the sea-facing room either. The only issue is it's a bit of a walk to the Old Town and the train station (uphill and doing this twice a day is quite tiring). But seriously I was in Nice for a week and I don't think I'll trade his hotel for any other hotel. Nice, further up closer to the train station, wasn't quite as ”charming and lovely” as having views of the promenade.

Great! The location is very good, five minutes to the beach. It is very convenient to go to surrounding cities such as Monaco, Menton and Cannes! The hotel facilities are very good, you can cook by yourself! Very cost-effective, I am very satisfied with this trip to the Côte d'Azur!

I strongly recommend you to choose this hotel, because in addition to being able to see the beautiful Angel Bay, you can also see the night view in the distance at night. The national flag flying downstairs inspires the strong patriotic homesickness of Chinese people who travel far away from home. I have been sitting on the balcony and don't want to leave. Downstairs is the i love nice landmark. Many people take photos, but this hotel has the advantage that you can take photos whenever you want, just cross the road. The old facilities do not affect the cleanliness. The breakfast in the room is actually very simple and small. In order to experience it, it is enough to eat for one day. It is not far from Chinese food nearby, and it is not far from the Internet celebrity ice cream.

The location is very good in a very central area, the rooms are small but the facilities are well equipped to cook for yourself, and there is an internet celebrity food street nearby. Disadvantages: 1. It’s very tired to go upstairs with luggage. 2. There is no bottled water provided. You need to go out and buy it yourself. If you don’t mind drinking tap water, please ignore. 3. Order to pay at the store. When you check out, you swipe your credit card and then Ctrip said that my no show had deducted my security deposit, and it was wrong to ask Ctrip to verify it before returning it to me. There is a bnb recommended by lp on the first floor of the same address. The facade looks better than this one. There is a camera at the door. Friends in need can search by themselves.

The rooms in this hotel were clean and the bed large and comfortable, our shower was either freezing or scalding, we couldn’t get the temperature right at all and we had no shower gel, which admittedly we didn’t ask to get filled as we thought the cleaning staff would check it. The decor is a bit dated throughout the hotel which could really do with brightening up a bit. The breakfast room particularly was very tired and brown, we would have liked to have eaten outside but the small garden area seemed to only cater for smokers. We took our coffee outside a couple of mornings and the tables were dirty and the ashtrays full from the night before. The pool area is lovely with amazing views but loungers are reserved very early and are limited in number, several times we went for a swim after a long hot day around 4pm and there was nothing available except seats set up for dining. The pool was a good temperature and lovely to swim in, if a bit small. There was an apparently new system in place for pool towels and we hadn’t been given tokens on check in. We weren’t asked for them the first day and got towels no problem, the second day the staff refused to give us towels despite us having our room keys with us. We had to go all the way to reception to get them and then we overheard other people getting them without tokens - so the system doesn’t work very well! I asked reception if my daughter who was staying in Nice could join us one day at the pool and was happy to pay a fee for this. I was given a very blunt no in answer to this question by a rude receptionist, the rest of the reception staff were very polite. I understand this may not have been possible but a polite no would have been preferred. When we were waiting to leave we heard several people complaining loudly they couldn’t get into their rooms and were being told check in is ‘From’ 3pm and not ‘At’ 3pm so beware of this, some people waited an hour to get into their rooms. We stayed in 3 different hotels in France and this was our most expensive and least favourite.

Of the few affordably priced hotels in Nice, this may the only one that has rooms with a full view of the Mediterranean and the Cote d' Azur. Its recent renovations apparently included soundproof windows, because it is quiet inside despite the traffic outside. The rooms and bathrooms are small but well designed and tastefully furnished and decorated. Since renovations are still underway, the tiny and crowded reception area may shock you on arrival, but the reception staff make up for it by being exceptionally friendly, helpful and reliable. The same can be said about the breakfast room serving staff who will go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The food choices on the breakfast buffet are very good and offer adequate variety. The location of this hotel is perfect for exploring the Old City and the shopping areas around it on foot. On the whole, this hotel is a real gem.

The hotel was fine, check in was smooth and hassle free, just as the check out. The Receptionist at check out (Silvia) was very helpful and managed to pull my Marriott Bonvoy subscription although I didn't have my membership card number with me, unfortunately as my booking was done by travel agency, I didn't get the points for that stay (5 days) 😔😕. The rooms were quite spacey, shower was decent but no bathtub (not a big deal) but there were a balcony which was a plus 😍 In room : Biggest problem was the Air conditioning (stuck at 24 C) we were told that this was as per regulations for EU power consumption. And there were no Iron as well. Breakfast was quite OK for me, but I have seen much better in 5 Star hotels. The location of restaurant with sea view was wonderful. The Bar was just next to reception desk... At night it was very loud (one can hardly hear a conversation with his fellows once passing by that area) also the smell was not favorable (specially if you are not into alcoholic beverages ). Elevators were not fully operational, and at certain times one had to wait for 5 minutes to get into it. All in all the stay was pretty good and I enjoyed it a lot

The room is a decent five-star hotel with good hygiene. Facing the sea view, downstairs is the British Promenade, the city center environment is good, the swimming pool and breakfast are very good, especially the service attitude is very good! Recommended.

My partner and i were there for 2 days. The location is very good. Other than this the hotel has very basic amenities, the hotel rooms are small and not in good condition. The shower is over the bath and the space is small. An old style of shower. There is no room service to order meals to your room so you have to be out to get something to eat. Upon arrival i asked the girl at the reception desk to freeze my icepack for my medication. When we checked out she gave me a completey thawed and soft icepack. When i asked her why it wasn't frozen, she literally just shrugged her shoulders and said she doesn't know. She didn't care that i was travelling with medication and that i had carefully explained to her when we checked in why i needed the icepack frozen. She didn't apologise either, was completely non-chalant despite the fact that i was clearly upset and anxious about my meds that i had to take on a flight with me. Her colleague then offered to run to the pharmacy to buy me a icepack. We expected a better quality stay and a better hotel experience but we were dissapointed. I would not recommend this hotel especially to older couples. We would rather pay more for a more comfortable stay. Tanya G South Africa
