Hotels in Train Station Area, Nice

The location of the hotel was very close to a lot of the surrounding attractions. It was also close to transport links. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and a good size, suited my needs. The bathroom was also clean and again a good size for me. The only negatives were that despite leaving the 'Do not disturb” sign out the cleaning staff tried to enter on several occasions while I was in the room and did enter on one occasion that I was aware off. There was also a new building being constructed facing the hotel and some work took place during the early hours of the morning which disrupted my sleep a little so maybe ask for a room at the back of the hotel. Apart from that I would definitely recommend this hotel as it was great value for money.

Hotel fine, comfortable. Beware of asking them to arrange a taxi to the airport. I asked how much a taxi would be and was told 35 Euros, so asked for a taxi to be booked for the next morning. The ”taxi” was a private operator licensed to work as a taxi, but had no meter. When i asked where the meter was, the driver told me the fare was 40 Euros, this after I'd already got in and we were on our way. Beware of this tactic. Not sure how this is organised, but need to have correct information given before booking.

J'ai récemment séjourné à l'Hôtel So'Co et je suis ravi de partager mon avis positif. Tout d'abord, l'emplacement de l'hôtel est vraiment pratique. Il est situé à proximité de la gare et du centre-ville, ce qui rend les déplacements et l'exploration de la ville très faciles. Le personnel de l'hôtel est vraiment sympathique et accueillant. Ils étaient toujours prêts à répondre à mes questions, leur hospitalité a rendu mon séjour très agréable. Les chambres étaient propres, confortables et bien aménagées, ce qui a contribué à rendre mon séjour agréable. En ce qui concerne le petit-déjeuner, j'ai été agréablement surpris par la variété et la qualité des plats proposés. Le prix était également très correct par rapport à ce qui était offert. Si vous cherchez un hébergement abordable sans compromettre le confort, cet hôtel est un excellant choix.

We have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions over the last 12 years. This is a great hotel, next to the Station, ideal for exporing Nice and the Cote D’Azur. This is a budget hotel, so the rooms and facilities are basic, but the hotel is very clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a refurbished room which had a much improved bathroom. We will definitely stay here again in the future. The area around the hotel and Nice Ville railway station has been much improved over the last 10 years.

Très contente de mon choix ,très bon hôtel , chambre très propre , lit confortable : un bonheur avec de très bons oreillers , chambre très bien insonorisée pourtant j’étais près de l’ascenseur, pas un bruit , des petites bouteilles d’eau minérale fraîche et d’eau gazeuse sont à votre disposition gratuitement dans le lobby . L’hôtel est situé tout proche de la gare et des stations de tramway, tout proche également de l’Avenue agréable qui vous mène place Massena et sur la promenade des anglais , Pour commencer la journée un excellent petit déjeuner accompagné du sourire de la jeune fille qui prépare le buffet et qui paraît-il fait des excellents œufs brouillés . Merci pour l’excellent accueil à mon arrivée et tout au long de mon séjour .

Our expectations were already low for this hotel given past reviews, but we thought how bad could it be. How wrong we were. My friend and I are regular travelers abroad (she travels almost every month, and I every 3-4 months). This was the worst hotel in terms of quality and customer service we have stayed in in all of France. We stayed 3 nights. Do NOT stay here, even if it costs more $ to go somewhere else. 1) The night shift receptionist is extremely rude and unprofessional, 2) The room is dirty (fleas and potentially bed bugs, my friend and I both received multiple bites, absolutely disgusting), and 3) their sister hotel receptionist is ****** (said kinochiwa to us when we were simply walking on the street, minding our own business and definitely not Japanese). So unless you want to have your vacation severely disturbed, go somewhere else. (May I recommend the very nice Chateau we stayed in after in Cagnes sur Mer). There are so many bad parts of this hotel that I simply do not have enough characters for. - When we told the receptionist about our bug bites (day shift woman on 7/10), she only told us to checkout the pharmacy nearby. No apologies. - This hotel has an insanely small shower stall - Tiny elevator, can fit 2 people maximum shoulder to shoulder with 2 bags - Hotel receptionist (night shift on 7/8 and 7/9) was a strong contrast to the chief receptionist (7/8) who we had good interactions with. This night shift hotel receptionist was rude, even though he spent 45 minutes trying to get us to retract him saying he was rude. This was after we asked him for 2 towels. I won't go into every part of the excruciating 45 minutes, but he said ”had we ever encountered rude people before? Because if we had, he would definitely not be considered rude.” My friend and I thought this was ironic, and told him we definitely have experienced rudeness before, literally minutes before with konichiwa guy from the hotel a door down. That's when he started eagerly clutching at this story as a weapon against us, saying that must be the reason for us thinking he was rude. He said that if he saw this person himself, he will stand up for us and embarrass the guy for us. (as an aside, konichiwa guy walked into our hotel a couple minutes later to hang out, turns out they are friends! :) Receptionist did nothing, of course, surprise, surprise. There is no happy resolution to this story. The receptionist never apologized for his behavior. What pointless waste of time and money on our vacation.

This little and cozy hotel is located right at the center of Nice, on one of the main streets. However, the rooms are not too noisy, which provided us with a good quality of sleep. The breakfast, though not huge, was more than enough and had a good quality. The room was spatious and comfortable. The only downside was the price. I understand that the location comes with its costs, but for me the price was too expensive for the hotel it was. Even so, I enjoyed my stay there and everything went well, specially considering it was not a short stay (4 nights).

It's a lovely hotel and all the staff were lovely. I only have one small gripe and that's the coffee in the room was powered coffee with mugs...it just doesn't seem in keeping with the rest of the room and decor. The rooftop pool is lovely with great views of the city and the spa is very relaxing. Overall a really lovely hotel xx

We spent two nights in this hotel in a junior suite with a sea view. Our room was spacious and had a balcony overlooking the Promenade des Anglais that was just big enough for a bistro table and two chairs. The hotel had an old world charm about it that was particularly enjoyable but the rooms, the amenities, etc. were all modern and comfortable. Everyone we met was helpful and friendly. The breakfasts we had were very good as was the dinner in Le Duc Restaurant that we had on our first evening. We were a bit jet lagged and hungry and ordered their three course meal. The caesar salads we had for the first course were huge (a meal in themselves!) and had nicely done chicken on top. But the desserts we had were totally fantastic: a strawberry charlotte and an amazing fresh pineapple and lemon sorbet. Each evening before dinner we enjoyed a cocktail and an appetizer in The W Bar's glassed in area outside. The Westminster's location is excellent -- just across the street from the Promenade des Anglais and a short walk to the old town and to Castle Hill. There's no question that if in Nice again we would very happily stay here.
