Hotels in Train Station Area, Nice

The hotel is very close to the train station, within walking distance. The room is also very clean and tidy, and the service is also good. I was allowed to check in when I arrived around 11 am, thank you very much!

Hotel -Layout was not welcoming/ inviting as the front doors leads to a hallway & the reception desk is up 3steps before you are greeted by someone. This makes carrying luggage difficult. - Storing luggage until the room was ready was fine. - Lift was small and can fit max 3people without luggage and was sometimes slow to come. - Would not rate as a 4 star hotel. Location - Approx. 15min walk from the promenade, which meant we were away from the noise. - 2mins away from the train station, which is ideal is travelling by train. - Area was OK, but not the best. Drinks - The complimentary drinks were tap water, lemonade (made from tap water), tea and coffee. If you dont drink tap water, there is no free alternative provided, with the reason given they are reducing use of plastic (bottled, glass water is avaiable to purchase). Room -We stayed in a classic room (208) which was compact. -They are definitely not soundproof & is dependent on the guests, as we could hear their conversations and when they were using the shower. -All the hotel doors make a loud bang when closed. -The room layout and space could have been utilised more effectively. E.g. 1/3 of the wardrobes were dumpy drawers. We had a chair but it was placed infront of the only long mirror in the room. -The charging ports were only accessible from one side of the bed, which can be challenging & annoying at times. - The room view was of the street and of the opposite building, which was not the nicest. Breakfast -We would advise you to think twice before booking breakfast. -Breakfast selection is very small - neatly presented in the corner of the room. -Minimal vegetarian and vegan optipns - which is not worth the money they ask - with the reason given France is not accomodating to vegetarian food. One gluten free option. -Fresh orange juice and breads were delicious. -There were 2 choices of fresh fruit (apple & kiwi) neither of which looked appealing. -No salad options. -Staff did not clear the tables as you were eating. -If all the guests were to be in the room at the same time, it would be very cramped, noisy and cause queuing. Staff -Half were friendly, polite and welcoming. The other half were not and would not acknowledge you upon entering or leaving the hotel. -When we were checking out, we were not offered support with our luggage down the steps, instead a hotel guest offered to help us! Also, the staff member did not finish with out checking out and had already started serving the guest behind us. -When making enqueries, staff were helpful and tried their best, with clear instructions. -An item was requested, which was not available. We were reassured this item would be sent to our room the next morning, but alas this did not happen.

本來定了一個豪華大床房 結果拿到的房間除了沙發外和圖片上可以説完全沒關係！和酒店交涉堅持説就是這個房型 因為有沙發…我是看中這個房型是個轉角房 而不是沙發 酒店給的房間就是標間里加了沙發而已 顯得房間更小 另一邊過道根本很難走過去 可參考我圖片 而圖片裏的落地玻璃窗也是沒有的…後來攜程也一起進行交涉換了另一間沒有沙發但是有城市景觀房. 酒店還是有一點裝修味道的 特別是走廊，房間設計很現代但質量很拉垮 我房間門框都是壞的 洗臉盆的熱水衹有早上才有熱水 其他時間段永遠開不熱 唯一優點是就在火車站隔壁去其他小鎮非常方便

Centrally located hotel with friendly staff. Stayed room only. Biggest problem is the noise, both internal and external. Zero soundproofing. I was in a street-facing room so my sleep was seriously curtailed by general traffic, bin collection trucks and revving, noisy motorcycles. On the first night, such was the noise level from the flushing toilet, running taps, and the shower from the adjoining room that I actually thought somebody had invaded my own bathroom. The occupants decided to have a conference on a couple of nights til after 3 am and it was clearly audible through the paper-thin walls. Room was probably too small for the double bed but the layout was fine. Advertised WiFi was useless. Two-person lift and great air conditioning, which was very welcome in the 35 degree Nice heat. CNN was the only English language channel I could find. Despite the few positives, I wouldn't return. A holiday for me entails restful sleep and this hotel didn't deliver.

BE CAREFUL BECAUSE THEY ARE ROBBERING !!!!! When you arrive at the hotel - the reception asks you for 50€ (this is not written publicly anywhere, you don't have it as a rule on the booking or website). The explanation they give you is as follows - they will keep that money if you do some damage in the hotel or if you smoke in the room. When I asked if they have smoke detectors, they said that they do and that they are very sensitive - but if it happens that people go outside for a smoke and when they come back to their room, their wardrobe smells of smoke, so it bothers the guests who they come after them. Then I asked how they will know if I smoked outside the hotel and if someone should sniff me and I wonder how they have the right to charge me 50€ because I smoked a cigar outside the hotel??? I asked them to give me in writing that they took 50€ from me and to write for what reason they did it - and they told me that they don't have that and that they just take money from the guests because that's the rule of the hotel! To my question - how can I prove that I didn't smoke because it would be my word against theirs - they told me again that they didn't have an answer to that either. When we were checking out, they sent some guy to the room and the receptionist insisted that the room be empty. When he came, I was still in the room and he asked me to leave because he prefers to be alone - so I said that it was my right to stay in the room because I don't know if he could set something up for me and pretend that it was me did that. Visibly angry, he just looked at the room and said that everything was OK and they had to give us our money back! The staff is extremely unkind and rude, the rooms are dirty and full of bugs, you don't even have a trash can, the wifi doesn't work, the alarm beeps in the hotel all morning because they are doing something and they didn't even inform the guests about it. When you arrive late at night - no one checks you, so it is very unsafe and anyone can enter the hotel!!! The worst experience in life and I suggest everyone to never go there!!!

The pillows!! We are currently online trying to find those pillows. The hotel room was small, but nice and clean. No kettle but the water (sparkling and still) were free downstairs as well as the use of a coffee machine. We didn't try the breakfast so cannot comment about that but the Hotel is in the middle of the centre so everything was nearby. The tram stops 1/2 minutes away from the hotel so that was a bonus as well. Being in the centre, I expected noise but it was nice and quiet. And the staff were amazing from beginning to end Overall, a great experience, And those pillows!!!

The bathroom partition in the room is very poor, the shower bathroom is full of water, the four-star hotel only provides paper cups, it is easy to rot the store, and it will not help to change the initiative overnight, the bathroom hair dryer is very old and faulty. The water output of the shower head is very small. The quality of the bed is medium. The breakfast quality is medium, probably only Samsung. I had to iron my shirt in the morning because I had to attend an important occasion, that is, I chose this hotel because I saw that the hotel had this service. When I arrived at the ironing room, none of the two irons could be used. At that time, it was about 8:00. I responded to the hotel about this matter and said that I needed to go out to attend important occasions at 10:00. They said they would deal with it and notify me. At about 8:40, I will ask again. The counter told me that the repair staff would not come until 9:00, and said they would call me again. When I waited until 9:30, there was no audio. I called the counter again. They said that they would reply to my situation in 2 minutes. The result was not returned. I called back again. This time it was more exaggerated and I didn't answer my phone at all. It didn't answer until 9:45. I rushed downstairs to prepare my shirt, and it was fine, and when it went down, an iron with a large rusty print was printed directly on my white shirt, and ruined my whole shirt, for there was no time, and I could only go to the hotel counter and tell them to tell me before I came back What they were going to do about it, and after I came back in the evening, there was no audio, as if there was nothing at all. I just took my shirt and asked them to deal with it. If it was something I would not claim. The next morning, when I went to get the shirt, they washed the shirt, but the obvious print was still on it, the counter told me that it was 15 euros to wash one, not my money. When I heard it, I was really mad. Did you figure out the situation? Is it their hotel iron that broke my shirt, making me look like a Okee who asked someone to do my laundry for free? The counter also told me that they had changed the iron in the last two weeks. Although they could not be verified, it was really outrageous. I came to see that iron later, and it was not like it had only been used for two weeks. Finally, after the counter manager came out, I was willing to compensate my shirt for 40 euros. Because the shirt itself had been depreciated, I didn't pursue it again, otherwise it was not only this value. The overall service feels very poor, the equipment is also very backward, and I will never stay again.

The biggest advantage of the hotel is its good location and high cost performance. It takes three or four minutes to walk from Nice Railway Station and two steps to the main street (Jin Meide New Avenue). There is another tram No. 1 to sit directly at Place Massena. The bathroom is relatively small, and the other toiletries are only hand sanitizer, body wash, cotton swab and cotton pad, so it is best to prepare your own toothpaste and toothbrush.

I recently had the opportunity to stay at a Best Western hotel for the first time, and I must admit, my expectations weren't very high at the outset, given it's a 3-star establishment. However, I was pleasantly surprised and thoroughly impressed by the level of customer service provided during my stay. From the moment I checked in on a rainy day in Nice, the hotel's thoughtful amenities like umbrellas for in-house guests and the warm availability of coffee and tea made a significant difference. These small gestures of hospitality were not only practical but also deeply appreciated. What truly set this experience apart, however, was the exceptional service from the reception staff. They were consistently helpful and maintained a cheerful demeanor, which greatly enhanced the overall atmosphere of the hotel. Their assistance and pleasant attitude made navigating my stay and the local area much easier and more enjoyable. Despite my initial reservations, Best Western has managed to exceed my expectations and provided a genuinely pleasant stay. The combination of attentive service, useful amenities, and a welcoming environment has completely shifted my perspective on what a 3-star hotel can offer. I would happily recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and accommodating stay, and I look forward to my next visit.

I like the location of this hotel, which is close to the train station and subway station. It is very convenient to go to other places in Nice or travel across regions. And there are many restaurants nearby, and there are many other daily necessities shops around, so it is a relatively convenient hotel.
