I used it for 1 night and 2 days without meals. Kinugawa, a famous lodging destination in Tochigi Prefecture, costs an astonishingly low price of 9,200 yen for two adults. Since we were staying without meals this time, we didn't have meals included, but Hotel Otaki doesn't provide meals, so you can move to the annex and eat your meals. There are no shopping places or restaurants in the area, so if you are staying overnight without meals, we recommend purchasing food and drinks in advance before checking in. Snacks, cup noodles, vending machines, etc. are available at the front desk, but they are expensive. To take a bath, you need to go outside and go to the large communal bath in the annex, but you can relax and enjoy the hot spring water with its quality and texture. In addition, the guest rooms have separate baths and toilets, so they are clean and beautiful, so it is recommended for those who cannot take a bath in the large public bath. Now, regarding the most important guest room, it was a 10 tatami room which was too large for two people. Unfortunately, it is not facing the river, so the view is not very good, but you can relax on the wide veranda while looking at the mountains surrounding the Kinugawa River. The air conditioning and heating system was old and installed on the floor, but it was very effective and there was also a fan, so you could adjust the temperature of the entire room. The only thing I didn't like was that the toilets on the lobby floor had wallets, but the toilets in the guest rooms didn't have washlets. If you really want to use your wallet, use the communal toilets on each floor. Now, for the important room.

I was disturbed by my family. Because it was summer, it was a little empty, but not only the proprietress but also the staff treated everyone, including foreigners, politely and kindly, and I was able to spend a pleasant time. The view of the Kinugawa river from the room was beautiful, and the bathroom was well-cleaned and beautiful. The room and toilet were clean. In addition, both dinner and breakfast were delicious with full Japanese taste. However, it may have been an adult taste for children in their teens.

The meal is buffet style. Alcohol is an extra charge, and there is an all-you-can-drink plan for 60 or 90 minutes, and it is better for those who say that it is alcohol. I had a 90-minute all-you-can-drink plan and enjoyed eating for 90 minutes. There were quite a few types of dinner and breakfast, and I enjoyed various things according to my taste. Maybe it was due to the time, but the meal and the hot springs were soaked that I was able to relax.

It's about a 10 minute walk from the station. It's close to the famous suspension bridge, it's very clean, the facilities are new, and I thought the semi-open-air bath would be great! It also came with a washing machine, so I was happy to be able to wash it! There was a rice cooker and a barbecue stove, so I thought it would be easy to have a party.

Stayed 3 nights in small double room with attached bathroom Clean, comfortable and quiet if somewhat lacking in a friendly atmosphere. Close to the railway station and tourist information Centre. Note hotel is closed during the day and open at 3pm for check-in. You can leave bags in locker for 100 yen. Nice small onsen bath to relax after a day of sightseeing. Note the breakfast caters mainly to Japanese guests with no fresh food. I found it awful and resorted to the convenience store across the street.

For reference we stayed in the Standard Dormitory. There are 2 rooms, 8 beds in each that share 2 toilets, a single sink, a single shower and a small kitchen. The bathrooms, kitchen, and shower were always clean. However, the kitchen only has a microwave and some plates, bowels and a few cups. There is no stove top to cook anything and there is no oven to use. You’re limited to microwave meals or eating out. If you’re on a budget and only plan on staying a single night then this is a great place. Any more nights and I would recommend finding another place. The staff a friendly and speak great English.

My wife and I booked the Nikko Station Hotel II for April 13 - 15 as a non refundable reservation. This week, the US State Dept issued a Level 4 warning for all US citizens to avoid international travel due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In spite of their normal policy, the Nikko Station Hotel II made an exception due to the COVID-19 pandemic and issued a full refund. We will reschedule our trip to Japan after the pandemic passes and WILL DEFINITELY rebook at the Nikko Station Hotel II, as they have shown excellent customer service in a difficult time!

Pension was cosy, clean and well equipped. Bath includes onsen. breakfast and dinner can be arranged with the host for a reasonable charge. It is quite a walk from the bus stop with rather uneven road if you have wheeled luggage. Owner was nice to give us a ride out (at her convenience) to the bus stop. View from room of Mt nantai is lovely and it is convenient to visit the waterfalls...especially yudaki which was the best in my opinion.

I visited with 7 adults. The weather was unpleasant, but I had a very memorable and wonderful trip. Arrived at the hotel before 11:00 by shuttle bus. I forgot the name of the person in charge, but thank you for the agility of the shortcut staff. The breakfast and dinner were all very satisfying. Supper was a full course today, but all the dishes were made with plenty of local ingredients, and the amount was just right, and my elderly parents had all of them firmly. Of course, breakfast and omelets were delicious, and all the dishes were delicious and polite service was exhausted. Since it faces Lake Chuzenji, I'm sure you can see even more beautiful scenery on a sunny day. Also, the lounge for guests on the second floor is a very nice space. I usually don't say word of mouth, but I couldn't help but say word of mouth because the staff of 々, who I was looking forward to, were hospitality and the whole family was impressed.
