My trip to Deep Jungle Home was a mesmerizing escape into nature's embrace. Tucked near the Mudumalai forest, this offbeat campsite proved a hidden gem for nature enthusiasts like me. Surrounded by lush greenery and bordered by the forest on three sides and a stream on one side, it instantly transported me to a world of tranquility. The soothing melody of chirping birds and the gentle flow of a nearby stream filled the air with serenity. I opted for a Swiss tent, which offered a perfect blend of comfort and wilderness. The stay in Swiss tent was very comfortable, with a large balcony and attached washroom. The tent was well-ventilated with large netted windows with openable flaps. Waking up to the soft sunlight and the sounds of nature was an unforgettable experience. I also spent a night in their quaint bamboo hut, which added a rustic charm to my stay. Deep Jungle Home allowed me to reconnect with nature profoundly. Exploring the nearby forest trails and birdwatching excursions with their knowledgeable staff enriched my journey. It was a sanctuary for the soul, offering an escape from the chaos of city life. If you seek an authentic nature retreat, Deep Jungle Home is the ideal destination. This hidden haven on the Mudumalai forest border offers an experience that lingers in your heart long after you leave. Rather late post however, I could not resist writing this...this place is Awesome...extremely clean and comfortable place. Beautiful location, close to nature, lovely staff..special mention to Vijay, Mubarak and rest of their team.we were a group of 19 and they hosted us extremely patiently and with a big Smile on their faces. Given the limited resources...they really did a wonderful job and made our stay extremely memorable and pleasant. Also not miss out on Pushp Ved, the owner who is extremely helpful and kind...Kudos to the entire team and I would really recommend this place to everyone who needs a quite getaway from city life and close to Nature.. thank you Singaras Coffee Country 😇

it's a small holiday home with 6 rooms. Although the property is small, it sits among a very private and secluded tea plantation. I think the privacy and calmness of the place is what makes it very attractive. However, please come to Ooty Bus stand /city and then put on the location in Google maps if you are coming via Gudalur. We took the route the map showed us and that ended up saving a few kms but was not worth the scare of going down a spooky road. Food -10/10. It was simple but delicious! service was amazing I was disappointed that we didn't get the room we booked - a 3 bed room with private balcony. They did agree to provide us two separate rooms but it doesn't have the same view as the one we booked. But will I go again - I would. and I would probably go with my whole family, block off the entire 6 rooms and have a wonderful chilling time.

The location gets an 11/10! Breathtaking views of the valley, the mountains, town clusters, and the tea gardens. We went with the Mountain View room booking, which is on the lower floor and is a large room. Unfortunately, we found the room to be dusty and in need of a good sweeping of the floor. The worst was the bathroom - very plain, not dry, and with a disgusting shower curtain. We had to call for a bathroom cleaning and curtain change, which they quickly obliged. We were still not fully comfortable in the room, and luckily, asked if another was available. One was, it was on the second floor and there's no lift. We didn't care, had a look, and booked it immediately! The views were spectacular from that height and we were within almost touching distance from the tea gardens. The room was large, had a clean big bathroom, and access to a small terrace space. We saw a clear difference in the care and upkeep of the two rooms, so would recommend that the team not be lax about the smaller, cheaper rooms! That said, the views beat everything else! It's a great staycation spot - you can take long walks and admire the many many beautiful flowers and birds. The ground staff is a diligent bunch who work hours and hours maintaining the beautiful compound. The property is a bit far removed from the town centre, which is what ensures the quiet beauty. But if you want to get out often, it's a 45-minute ride till the main centre. The drive is smooth enough with a few hairpin bends on the way; the road suddenly gets muddy and badly maintained right outside the property. So beware. The staff is wonderful, very caring and prompt. Devaraj at the desk was very helpful with taxi bookings and recommendations. Vivek from the team seemingly effortlessly ferried our luggage and shopping bags up and down the two floors! If you have accessibility needs, it's best you let the staff know. The food was decent, with a smallish menu. The breakfast buffet is smallish again, but featured the usual bread, eggs, and an assortment of hot Indian dishes. The restaurant staff, again, was caring and attentive, and you can request eggs-to-order and other items to your table. Kids will love the fresh air, the space to run about, cycle, etc. A small bonfire is possible if the weather cooperates. Enjoy your trip!

Awsome view from the valley view suit rooms. Rooms were neat and clean. Staff is good and helpful. Veg food was nice. Only drawback is room are very next to each other and may feel disturbance from neighbour rooms. Rest everything ok. Road to the resort is hilly, drive carefully, while taking diversion from mysuru ooty road sometimes you may get stopped saying its a one way, you have to tell them that you have a booking for resort and then you are ok to proceed.
