My trip to Deep Jungle Home was a mesmerizing escape into nature's embrace. Tucked near the Mudumalai forest, this offbeat campsite proved a hidden gem for nature enthusiasts like me. Surrounded by lush greenery and bordered by the forest on three sides and a stream on one side, it instantly transported me to a world of tranquility. The soothing melody of chirping birds and the gentle flow of a nearby stream filled the air with serenity. I opted for a Swiss tent, which offered a perfect blend of comfort and wilderness. The stay in Swiss tent was very comfortable, with a large balcony and attached washroom. The tent was well-ventilated with large netted windows with openable flaps. Waking up to the soft sunlight and the sounds of nature was an unforgettable experience. I also spent a night in their quaint bamboo hut, which added a rustic charm to my stay. Deep Jungle Home allowed me to reconnect with nature profoundly. Exploring the nearby forest trails and birdwatching excursions with their knowledgeable staff enriched my journey. It was a sanctuary for the soul, offering an escape from the chaos of city life. If you seek an authentic nature retreat, Deep Jungle Home is the ideal destination. This hidden haven on the Mudumalai forest border offers an experience that lingers in your heart long after you leave. GGuest UserRosewood is an excellent place to stay. It is a small boutique Hotel with just 4 rooms. I liked the interiors. They have a dedicated dining area near the kitchen. Dining there feels like having dinner at home. Sometimes even the neighbours joined, and we made great conversations. They also a garden which has a small pit for camp fire. And since there are only 4 rooms there aren't much visitors, the place is peaceful throughout the day. It has dedicated and hospitable staff. The on-premise cooks are great - everything they cooked was delicious. On our request, the cook even cooked for our infant, which was really helpful for us, we did not have to look and go anywhere else. They have good entertainment facility inside the rooms, in case you you are feeling lazy after the day's excursions.

VVijayakumar G AFirstly, I was given a room in an extension block that seemed to have been built recently. It was modern but lacked the charm and character of a true heritage property. The main building, with its fireplace and historic ambience, was nowhere to be found. This was especially disappointing considering the premium price I paid, comparable to what you'd expect from a 5-star hotel.
The lack of attention to detail continued throughout my stay. When I checked in on a rainy day, I had to walk to the extension block without an umbrella despite the muddy road. The staff seemed unbothered by this inconvenience. Additionally, the room didn't have slippers, and the floor was cold, with no heating available (although they did provide a basic room heater when requested).
To make matters worse, I had to call the front desk to confirm my room for the second day, which should have been done automatically as part of their standard procedure. This lack of efficiency only added to my frustration.
The toiletries were also woefully inadequate, with only basic soap and shampoo provided. Power cuts were frequent, and I had to notify the front desk each time, which seemed like a hassle the hotel should have anticipated.
The breakfast buffet was uninspiring and lacked flavour. To make matters worse, I had dinner at their restaurant, which was rated top in Ooty, but my experience was average at best. To add insult to injury, they got our order wrong, substituting Nasi Goreng (fried rice) with Mee Goreng (fried noodles). When I brought this to their attention, they made no effort to compensate for the mistake.
In conclusion, Hotel King's Cliff fails to live up to its reputation as a heritage property or even a 2-star hotel. The overpricing and lack of attention to detail make it a poor choice for travellers seeking a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Ooty.

The Fortune Resort, Sullivan Court is such a lovely place, as soon as you walk in you feel a warm welcome from all the staff. Reception is stunning and the bar is so cozy and welcoming, the food choice was excellent and The Chocolate Cake was Amazing!!! The cake wasn’t available on the second night so our waiter, Dinesh found me a lovely chocolate alternative, Dinesh, you are my hero. The hotel is beautiful but it’s every member of staff who make you feel at home, I don’t know their names but reception staff were so friendly & helpful, especially the gentleman who had to connect everyone’s WiFi on their phones. The barman who made us feel like we were walking into our local, “Gin & Tonic and a sprite, room 214”. And let’s not forget the friendliest security guard, with the biggest smile and warm greeting every time he sees you, he’s so lovely. Every member staff at this hotel couldn’t do enough for you If you are heading to Ooty you really should stay at Fortune Resort Sullivan Court.

Botanical garden, tibetian market n commercial Street are walkable. Other sight seeing places are easily accessible by vehicle. The owner Mr. Maria dass converses well and helps to finalise places of visit, also does his bit to keep the guests happy. If you are in Ooty go ahead with Hotel Carnation, it's the best choice within the city.
