Hampton Inn & Suites Norman Conference Center Area

I had ants in my bed. Then my daughter’s bed was very messed up. Every time she moved, even a little bit, it made very loud noises like metal rubbing against metal. They HAD to know about this. Why would they put anyone in this room? It was the worst nights sleep I have had in years. I mentioned it when I checked out, and they could not have cared less. I am losing my faith in Hilton properties.

Stayed here a few times. Nice hotel as it is fairly new. Staff is friendly. Two issues: 1. Light fixture on desk did not work (and the rooms are a bit dark) 2. The hot water is not very hot. With a temperature of 2F outside, the shower was mildly lukewarm. I've had this issue EVERY time I've stayed at this hotel. Please adjust the thermostats in the showers and faucets so one can actually get some hot water.

The facility is very nice. They do appear to be particularly short-staffed, however, and I would have easily given 5 stars IF the in-room refrigerator actually worked, there weren't dead light bulbs, and no opportunity for early check-in. All of these factors support the notion that staffing issues perhaps enjoy a casual relation to these issues. The staff who were present were exceptionally nice and engaging. Breakfast was what you would expect. The bed was comfortable. The program selection on television was adequate. It was incredibly quiet, which made relaxation and sleep a non-issue. My only guidance is to check the refrigerator BEFORE YOU end up with spoiled cream for your morning in-room coffee.

i was in town for a family wedding. i had booked two rooms paid in full for two days. i checked in on a friday and explained to the front desk girl my daughters were going to arrive later that evening or tomorrow. i asked her if i needed to go ahead and check them in so we would not lose the rooms. she said no you can check them in when they arrive. my daughters arrived the next day 3 hours before the wedding and the same girl informs me their rooms are canceled for not checking in the day before. i asked her why this was the case and reminded her of our conversation the day before. she told me it doesn't matter and the room is canceled. i told her she needed to get her manager on the phone and have this fixed. she refused to call the manager. i still demanded she call the manager. she told me i was not allowed to talk to her that way. i informed her i was the customer and she needed to be concerned with a serious customer issue. she then informed me she was calling the police and having me and my daughters removed from the premises for arguing with her about the rooms. i further explained to her we need the rooms i had already paid for and that the rooms should not be canceled because of our conversation the day before when i checked in. the front desk lady took no responsibility whatsoever for her mistake and had no concern for the fact due to her incompetence my family and i were risking not being on time for our family wedding. i had to book 2 new rooms at a different hotel and pay over $250 dollars when i had already paid $400 for the rooms at the hampton. it was an extremely frustrating situation. i am sure there are cameras at the front desk. i hope the management watched the cameras and saw how poorly the front desk girl handled the situation. she needs to fired and i should be refunded for the rooms we paid for and not allowed to stay in and i need to be refunded for the rooms i had to pay for at another hotel. if we had missed the wedding, i definitely would be even more upset than what i am now. I have contacted hilton and made theme aware of the poor customer service. i do not recommend anyone staying at this poorly managed hotel

Terrific hotel overall! First, I rarely start a review with the staff, but the staff is terrific! Each question was answered with a smile. The asst manager (her name starts with a V) really was a terrific person! The rooms were roomy and well lit, with a lot of outlets and charging. The bathrooms were clean and housekeeping was excellent. The bed was comfy. The rooms were super quiet - we had some crazy storms each night and I heard nothing! Breakfast was good - typical (waffles, a variety of hot stuff). Walking distance to restaurants and a grocery store, and a bunch of other shopping. Easy drive to OU. I would definitely stay here again!

Norman has a "new" part of town, and The Hampton Inn is part of it! Stayed in this beautiful hotel on Super Bowl Sunday, {Yea Chiefs} This Hampton Inn looks brand new, just like it opened yesterday! The room was decorated in a very "top drawer" "up town" modern way! Absolutely beautiful decor! What a nice way to unwind after a busy weekend! The Manager "KEVIN" was "thee" very best! Very accommodating, friendly & professional Even though the hotel seemed to get busier & busier through out the evening, {I could see all this as I was watching the game in the "lobby},"KEVIN" stayed on top of everything!

Beautiful, outstanding service and safe location. If you are traveling to Norman you must check out this hotel. Close to all restaurants and OU. Rooms were very clean and hotel smells great. Their parking lot is lit very well and safe.

The hotel is only two years old. It is in immaculate condition. Our room was beautiful with all the amenities you need. It is so refreshing to find a hotel that is so refreshing! It is located in a quiet area Breakfast is served in the morning. I definitely will be back

I will never deal with Trip Advisor again. In order to receive partial refund on a cancellation due to illness, they required me to have a medical statement of verification. At first when I called the motel, the motel was willing to issue the refund, but wouldn’t because I had booked with the third party Trip Advisor. Than when talking with TA they required the medical documentation, and only allowed one night refund. Never again will I use Trip Advisor.
