Hotels near Ostermayr Passage, Nuremberg

My trip was cancelled due to COVID-19 (trade show was cancelled) and this hotel is refusing to refund the money! They told me they can only re-book me for another date in 2020, which they know is totally useless because so far Germany doesn't even accept travelers from USA and even if they will at some point this year the purpose of my trip was to attend a trade fair, which would only happen in 2021. The management of this hotel only worries about their profit and not about customers. They basically took my money and keep hiding behind their ”policies”. It's very typical for German ”hospitality” industry - they feel that as long as their policy is followed the customer can go pound sand. Needless to say, I will never stay at this hotel and will actively discourage anyone I know who travel to the trade fair to avoid this hotel at all cost. This hotel jacks up prices for very mediocre accommodations during the fair (I paid close to $300/night for room that typically costs $125 on a non-fair day) and refuse to help customer in any situation. All I wanted was to re-book my room for 2021 in order to attend the trade fair next year and I was brushed off like dust when I tried to communicate with the hotel. They had the nerve to ask for my compassion(!!!) after taking my money...LOL If you must stay at this hotel, always buy some sort of insurance, otherwise you're on your own if you need help. I'm sure they think they're completely right, because they followed their policies, but this customer will never forget.

It was a very pleasant stay. Clean hotel , nice staff. I loved the spacious and great breakfast room with a nice and healthy sustainable breakfast as well. The comfort room is such an amazing experience with the large double bed and the waterfall shower. Definitely a must in the city 🏙️

Hotel excellent from every point of view: large common spaces also a office point with x PC desk, near the center and station, private parking for payment, very comfortable modern rooms with huge TV, coffee machine , Douche with red light, welcome water and parquet. Extremely equipped gym at the floor -1. Extraordinary breakfast. All: from the dry to the silk, beans, fat vegetables and eggs to butter made at the moment. Celiace bread ever eaten so good!! Nice and efficient staff. Clean everywhere. Recommended!!

This hotel has a chain in many parts of Germany, generally not in the city center, but not far from the subway. The room is not big, there is no way to add an extra bed. The biggest advantage is that the tableware is complete, equipped with a sink and an induction cooker. You can buy the ingredients yourself at the opposite supermarket. The only downside is that it is stuck on the road, a bit noisy...

Considering this is only a 3* property, the staff make sure you have a far greater experience that really impresses. The hotel is located a relatively short walk from Nuremberg Castle (about 10 -15 minutes) which is the Northern point of the old town. You can also ride the 4 Tramline that stops outside the hotel or the U3 underground line is less than a 10 minute walk. As such, you're very well connected and in easy reach of everything the city has to offer. The hotel looks like an older building, almost medieval in it's styling, but it is modern, fresh and clean. They are practicing COVID protocols, which must be followed and that included having a vaccination certificate to check in. Masks are required in all the public areas and you need to specify a breakfast time so as they can organize the distance seating. My room was odd in that it was huge, but set for one person. A big double bed, but with a single duvet and just one pillow. The linens were fresh and clean and mattress comfortable. There's a desk, chair, small table, flat screen TV and good space for luggage and hanging clothes, but it felt very empty because of the size. Hardly a complaint. There's a fridge, which is very welcome. The heating was good and needed in the cold winter. Bathrooms have a shower/tub and basin with excellent hot water pressure, but the only amenity is a standard body/hair wash. Towels were a bit old, but certainly clean. Currently, house keeping is limited because of COVID, but towels are refreshed every day and they empty the trash. Breakfast is excellent. On my first morning, they even laid out a chocolate Santa for me, which was very nice. There is everything you'd want to eat and more. A really good selection of hot and cold items, all of very high quality. It's buffet style, but the staff are still there to help and are always friendly and clear tables quickly. The one problem the hotel is currently experiencing is with their WIFI provider. Although free, the property has run into a tech issue they seem unable to solve that means you have to pay to log in to each device. You will have no choice but to pay, so make sure when you login you get a receipt. Just email it to the front desk and they will immediately reimburse you either in cash or make a credit on your credit card. They are just as frustrated by the provider as the guests, but they are super efficient about repaying the guest's costs. Overall, I couldn't be happier with this hotel. Very nice staff and good problem solvers that means problems aren't problems at all. I believe there is parking on site, but I didn't need it. They also have fresh fruit to help yourself throughout the day. A great option for Nuremburg.

We stopped over and stayed at Ramada in Nuremberg for just one night during a trip across Europe. The receptionist was extremely helpful and shared the latest Covid-19 restrictions valid in Bavaria with us. The room was spacious and - what we needed most - quiet. Cleanliness was perfect.

We booked a junior suite for our family. Room was spacious with necessary beds for accommodating all the guests. It had a balcony, clean bathroom/toilet. Room was clean with great air and light. It had an air condition which we could control to set our desired temperature. Enough toiletries available in the bathroom/toilet. There was enough storage space for the luggage and a refrigerator available as well. One TV with some channels available. Also, had a work desk, couple of chairs. In balcony there was a coffee table and couple of chairs where we could seat out and enjoy some food/drinks in the evening. You could make tea/coffee on your own. Breakfast in the morning was plenty and seating arrangement for COVID was well placed. Reception and staff were to the point and helpful. There is a nice bakery just opposite to the hotel and a very good Japanese restaurant within 3 minutes walking distance. We always had our night dinner from this Japanese restaurant. Location of the hotel is very good in order to travel to city center and all points of interest. We could reach in city center by a tram within 15 minutes. Hotel has a decent parking place. Lobby is big and one can get tea/coffee in the lobby any time. Hotel also has a bar where you can buy some beer or alcoholic/non alcoholic drinks. All in all we had a great stay for 4 days and very happy with our experience. I will recommend this hotel and would stay here again if we visit Nuremberg again.

We only booked this hotel as we were away on business and attending Biofach at the exhibition centre nearby. Of course prices went through the roof as an exhibition was on, my company £364 for a basic twin room per night / for 3 nights - over £1000 in total! When I arrived, yes the room was clean but I was suprised at how basic it was for the price, plus the fact it looked nothing like the pictures on trip advisor. I also looked on booking.com to see there was rooms available for that night for less than half of what we paid. I went down to reception and asked if there was any other rooms available as I felt our room was very poor quality for the price, and we overpaid compared to the current price for available rooms. I’ve never seen someone at reception seem to offended at such a standard question. She asked me ‘what my point was’, and insisted there were no rooms available except those that hadn’t been renovated. Answering my question if an available better room was available seemed impossible and she said I should speak to the manager the next day. However there was a very helpful woman who checked me in. Before I even got round to speaking to a manager the next day we decided to go the gym. Of course the gym isn’t signposted anywhere in the hotel, why would a key facility be? I asked the woman at the desk (who was on her mobile phone) where it was and she pointed ahead of her and said the door on the left after the glass door. There were 3 doors, of course none said gym on and they all looked the same. I picked one and ended up in the stock room. I went back and asked her to confirm again but she just pointed again as it must have been too much effort to walk round from the desk and show me. Of course I eventually found it, no air con, music or lights but not suprised. When we first arrived the lady at reception recommended booking for the restaurant as it gets busy, we didn’t book that night and we were asked by the waiter if we had a reservation but luckily there was space. We decided the next day to request a booking to which the response was ‘you don’t need to book there’s lots of rooms’, to which I confirmed what the waiter had said and so she reluctantly wrote my room number down on a piece of paper. I never even complain, especially when away on business, but only 1 night in I felt I needed to The plus side is the food is good, and the location is 10 minutes from the exhibition, shame it was taken over from the Hilton and the customer service is beyond poor.

Service good, bed comfortable but cushion terrible : too soft. Next railway made impossible to open window when airco did not cool the room. Breakfast was average, breadrolls were reheated and dry, and cheese was cold and dried out, should be covered. Wifi was decent but not stable, and housing keeping a bit slow in addressing issues. Still good location to city center, but railway line is something to consider. Good value for money considering the style of hotel
