Very poor experience, no coffee or tea,only at breakfast. Food was very basic, vegetarians and vegans struggled to get fed. Communication was poor.The rooms were very basic, no drink facilities, TV was rubbish. The church bells wake you at 6, if that doesn't wake you the trains will. The entertainment was a man and his guitar. We got excited when we saw other guests getting Black forest gateaux ,but we're given a tiny piece of sponge with a dribble of chocolate on it., even the kitchen staff were eating gateaux, all most humiliating. The only plus side was we laughed so much, it was like being in a carry on film.

I stayed for one night in this hotel which I found very clean and tidy, not luxury but pleasantly in the style of the place. Excellent dinner with pumpkin soup, pork shank with potatoes and red cabbage, strudel with vanilla ice cream. The breakfast was also simple but with excellent local products. The staff (all women) are very kind and attentive to customer needs. I would happily return 😃

Very nice hotel, with very good customer service as well, lively evening. The place allows you to visit beautiful places, historic village, Colmar, Germany Freiburg e/Brisgau, free parking, relaxing, wonderful view from the room, small stream

Well maintained and organized hotel. Very clean room with good bedding. Buffet-style and copious breakfast. Correct evening meal (starter, choice between 2 meats, fresh vegetables, good dessert). Very helpful and polite staff. All in a typical village.

as a place of stay in 1 trip organized by GENERALTOUR in the black forest (4 days from 25 to 29.07.22), isolated hotel in relation to excursions, housed not in the much more attractive building but in the 1st large main annex located opposite with 1 basic room without air conditioning or fan (24 to 28 degrees) 1 restaurant being more of a school or factory canteen, breakfast and supper which being in the form of a buffet were located in a cramped room with 1 very narrow corridor to get in and out of it, food choices were limited (for me, we eat better in a "lunch garden" even though I'm not a difficult customer! to forget as soon as possible, at least for me! PS 1 trip of 40 people in a group

We got a big room in the Stube Hotel across the road (is part of the Bärengroup. Room was clean and big and the bathroom was basic but all functioned well. We got one at the quiet part of the hotel with view on the mountains. The breakfast was good and the diner (we got half pension) was good for the price of this arrangement. The lady at the reception was friendly and helpful.
