Shoreham Hotel

The staff was friendly. I talked with Kelly the front desk/houseman/maintenance man, very nice. The room was small but Big enough for me. King size bed was comfy. No issues at check in. Hotel is in the center of everything. I felt very safe and comfortable. Thanks 👍.

Got electrocuted plugging my phone charger into the outlet as the outlet fell from the wall.Filthy tub, used tissue sandwiched between the sheets,loads of noise from student staff that lives on premises.Threatened with towing for sitting in my car at 11:20am since checkout was at 11.

Made reservations 10 weeks ago for tonight Sept 16 Sat for bike week. Checked on reservation 3 weeks ago and all was good. Went to check in today, and was told reservation was cancelled. NOT..... They realized they could rent room for 2-3 x more, so, that's what they did. Never again. Extremely disappointed 😡

This place is historic. Others who complain must be high maintenance cause there is nothing wrong with this place. The staff is friendly. The place is clean. There are steps no elevators but that’s to be expected in such a historic building. Everything we needed. Ocean front room. Nice blinds. Clean sheets and towels. Comfy pillows and bed. The floors are crooked as to be expected in such an old place. Well maintained and well taken care off. We love it have been a few times. Word is it’s ******* too. So much fun. The location is amazing. The music down m stairs wasn’t on too late and didn’t bother our sleep. We were lucky enough to have a full moon over the ocean and had a beautiful view from our room 118. Thanks again and don’t listen to the high maintenance Karen’s who leave rude reviews. Get a grip people.

Clean. Ocean view. Friendly service. Great price. Historic. *******. Fun. Great location to everything. Charming. Comfortable. We will return again. We love this gem for our family. Has everything we could ask for at a nice price. Ignore the Karen reviews and relax

After checking in for our anniversary, before even entering our room we noticed a gap in the room’s door big enough for me to stick my hand through. My husband is a firefighter and this can not be up to fire code. He was told the building did pass inspection but it looks like someone didn’t really do the job. The just checked off the boxes they had to check. Other doors I could stick my foot under the gap was so large. Our room had at least a five inch difference from one wall to the other to the point where your head would be slightly lower than your feet when sleeping. Is this structurally sound I wondered. We were also right over top of the restaurant below meaning we had bass and loud music coming through our window ac unit as if we were on the boardwalk ourselves and with the room only being large enough to fit a bed, (the pictures when booking did not show this), we had no where to go. Needless to say after going out for about an hour we were dreading having to try and stay there for the above reasons and ended up cutting our loses and booking another hotel last minute. Actually spent less on the last minute booking and had a room with level floors, up to fire code, amenities, and triple the size of Shoreham’s with peace and quiet to sleep. I would not suggest this stay to anyone.

I checked into this hotel and it was an absolute s#!t show!!!! Never have i ever been so mad and felt completely offended that I was offered the room i was put in! The bed had burn marks and was wet... there was tissue stuck to the ceiling AND the bathroom exhaust fan looked like it hadn't been cleaned in 20 years! ANYONE that days they enjoyed their stay was either paid or an employee wrote the review. Absolutely HORRIBLE! I drove 12 hours to get there and it was the worst I've ever seen. The sad part is I checked in on my birthday and spent the night in my car until I found another hotel. Stay AWAY!!! AND to make matters worse, the 3rd room they offered was a double, which I booked a King, they said we could only stay one night as it was booked the next day. The also gave a parking pass for our room to hang from the window in the car that had our room number on it! I spent the 1st full day in town with clothes from the day before until we checked into our new hotel because I was NOT getting in that shower!
