I would suggest anyone reading the reviews takes a balanced view - if you want a luxury 4 star hotel/gourmet experience you will be disappointed. However, if you want a small independent hotel with an amazing pool and staff that you will get to know by name in a few days, all just steps away from the hustle and bustle of Oludeniz, then you’ll be fine! The rooms are small but functional. We booked a triple room and had to change rooms on the first day as ours only had a double bed and a window seat with a sheet on when we arrived. There were no pillowcases on the (tiny!) single small pillows, and amenities were provided for just two people (2 water bottles, 2 towels etc.). Hanufe on Reception did a great job in finding us a more suitable room (I travelled with my elderly mother and 24 year old daughter, and my mother needed easy access due to mobility issues). The shower was excellent, the balcony tiny and the air conditioning efficient. Note that none of the rooms appear to be step-free. There is a wheelchair available but another guest had it, so the helpful bell boy assisted us in hiring a mobility scooter (£35 for two days) for outings. My daughter is vegan so struggled a little with the food offering, but we always found enough to eat and enjoyed the house rosé and beer. It was disappointing that cocktails were not part of the all inclusive deal (hence it is not really all inclusive!). We never had a problem finding sun beds, but there is an issue with people reserving them which could perhaps be addressed to save any unpleasantness. The bar staff were always charming and attentive, and we never had to wait long for a drink. The pool was huge, usually empty and refreshingly cold in the 30 degree heat of late September. Note that there are no pool towels provided - we had to go out and buy some. The hotel location is its star attraction - surrounded by impressive mountains you don’t get a sense of being in the middle of a town. It was great to be able to stroll into the centre in just a few minutes, and sit at a beach bar sipping a cocktail and watching the glorious sunsets. We had a great time and would go back.

Hotel Alize Nightmare on Elm street is the proper name for what this so called hotel is. We arrived here for a weeks holiday on the 22nd Sep about 01.30 in the morning at the Alize hotel. (Easyjet flight was 2hrs late). Right from the moment we stepped in the hotel doorway has this been the worst experience of our lives. We were escorted to our room by some boy who didn’t know anything about the hotel and no information was forth coming at the reception either. The room turned out to be OK but small, the thing they called a balcony you could fit only two seats on it. Breakfast is at seven till nine, so we decided to investigate what the food was like. Food, there was none!! Breakfasts consists of bread, cheese salty brocoli ?? Coffee some orange juice if there was enough left plus find your own glass to pour it in. There waiters consisted of, what looked like there scruffy mates and continuously picked up your cutlery so they didn’t run out again. Lunch would be a race to a scruffy room where you may be allowed some chips or an ice cream. Again, this room looked dinghy and tired hence you did not want to eat from there. The quality of the food was distasteful and discussing throughout our stay. Dinner was not much better. The food and verity is very boring and tasteless. I had a chicken savoury dish with rice yesterday and the whole dish was just chicken bones. The kebab Turkish night was kebabsand various other things that had no identity to them, but most people did not eat due to the gas burner breaking down. Deserts we’re totally disgusting or tasteless as was most of the food. What can one say about the lack of water, drinks, disgusting food layed on and the boys from the black stuff staff,if you wanted a beer there was only one beer to choose from. Sometimes you had to go look for a glass if you did as there was none available. The over all decorative building was held together by mystic sealant and even then they couldn’t get that straight. My view and many more I spoke with would be to close this dump down the sooner the better as someone mite get poisoned from the hygienic state of the place. I would have asked for a transfer immediately but due to the excursions we did ment we spent as little time as possible in this motel should I call it, cause all you got was a bed!!

Having read some of the reviews prior to going we were slightly apprehensive but decided to take a chance as the location is excellent and we don’t spend a great deal of time in the room, basically sleeping and showering. We arrived 06.30 ish and the night manager greeted us and our bags were taken to our room. After a long journey I was desperate for a cuppa. The manager offered to get me a coffee from the restaurant which wasn’t due to open until 07.00 but the water heater hadn’t got up to temperature yet, he did try and was very friendly. Our room overlooked the pool area and although basic it was ok. It had a mini fridge which didn’t really keep any drinks very cold but it was better than nothing. The rooms don’t have kettles or irons but we knew that and took our own kettle and iron. Our room was cleaned daily and towels changed daily too. Bedding changed 3 times in the week so no complaints about that. The place in general could do with being spruced up a bit, looked a bit grubby in certain areas. Our main issue was the food!! I’ve been coming to Ölüdeniz for a few years, usually stay all inclusive and this was the worst food I’ve ever came across by a long stretch! Bordering on inedible! Basically a cheap and tasteless buffet with nothing of any quality. A fellow traveller we met there said he’d been using the hotel the past 3 years and it has deteriorated each year food wise. As for the drinks the draught beer tastes fine but must be 2% max strength. There are no cocktails on offer unless you pay, apparently there was previous years. The spirit list had about 4 local spirits but no whiskey. We found the staff to all be very pleasant and friendly. Would I stay there again ? Definitely not.

We were a group of 7 and overall had a fabulous week here. Pros Really pretty setting and spacious pool/sunbathing area. Excellent location - 2minutes to the taxi rank, 5 minutes to bars, shops and restaurants, 10 minutes to the beach. Very friendly staff. Excellent shower in the rooms Clean rooms We enjoyed our breakfast and lunch without exception. We ate out each night, which was our intention before arrival. The complementary ice cream served from 3pm-5pm in the snack bar was delicious. Cons Our room was only made up for 2, not 3, so we only had towels, bedding and water for two. In the end we made the third bed up ourselves as it was early hours of the morning. The third bed was more of a window seat and a little narrow. Breakfast was 8am-10:30am, however staff were constantly hounding you to leave from around 10:10am whether you were finished or not and sweeping around you. It was like something out of Fawlty Towers. Even with these blips we still had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and would return to this hotel.

Where do I start with the hygiene in this hotel. Here are just a few things we saw whilst there. A member of staff used a fork to clean crumbs off a table then used it to set the table for the next person. Didn't clean pool sunbed tables during our 10 day stay. They were dirty on the 1st day so god knows how how long before they were cleaned. Food cold in restaurant even at 7pm when opened. Green algae on pool steps Dirty snack bar work tops Dirty dried up sauce spouts again food was cols and under cooked. We could see inside the storage cupboard which was also filthy. I had an upset stomach for 2 days and also had stomach cramps a few nights and up in the night to use the toilet We ate out most evenings after the first few days. Chipped crockery, the fruit was past its best mist days. Coffee and water machines Dirty Ice cream freezer it was mouldy. The room was ok with a view over the pool. Drinks were limited only thing ok was the efes beer and diet coke. No cocktails on offer and no Whiskey.

Arrived with friends for a week long stay. Pros Room basic but clean Pool area clean and tidy Pool lovely Views all around lovely Staff friendly and helpful Location great Cons Bar area not big enough All inclusive drinks limited Food really poor for all meals of the day - if you don’t eat eggs or broccoli breakfast is truly limited I had bread and jam for breakfast everyday Lunch was limited to spinach, tomatoes a meat dish and a pasta dish with salad options but nothing much to go with the salads and the hot stuff was poor quality and barely warm and the cold stuff was not in covered containers so the flies were able to land on it all of the time. Dinner was the same as lunch. Also whilst it is good to clear the tables in a timely fashion it would be nice to be able to put your knife down and finish what was in your mouth before plates were whipped away a little too quickly. Summary To be fair the price for the holiday was good and we were able to afford to eat out but if a family went there on a budget I think they would struggle with the food. Just a few minor changes would make such a difference like ensuring the hot food is kept hot, getting covered receptacles for the salad and more choices of dressings and proteins to go with it, also perhaps an ice cream and yogurt offering for dessert and a larger choice of fruit. We had a nice time would we go back probably not

We had no issues with this hotel or location apart from the ladies hotel toilets that’s it! Theees a pool food a room and the shops bars and beach is a two minute walk. Hotel staff work hard for little wages they are friendly polite and helpfull. Food was different each night with plenty to offer if you use your imagination you can make plenty of meals out of the food provided! It’s not the ritz but it has everything you need for £500 each all in ya can’t really moan! Ignore all the negative comments just go there and see for yourself. Don’t have high expectations just take advantage of the fact that your on holiday the weathers amazing and you have everything you need as well as the blue lagoon wich is a 10 minute walk! All you do at the hotel anyway is eat swim drink and sleep so just enjoy it we don’t all get the chance to go on holiday some people have never left there town so feel lucky to have the chance to be in a beautiful country be fed and waters and to feel safe and looked after. Dont expect to much life isn’t always plain sailing and nothings perfect. Make happy memories and focus on the positives thanks to all the staff for a lovely week but please my only negative can the ladies toilets have bins with lids on so we don’t have to look at what’s inside thanks again w miss it already remember don’t be to fussy and don’t worry it’s fine xx
