The property is clean, well maintained and rooms are spacious enough. Zain, Nikki the managers and other staff are very friendly and helpful and always available for help. It’s the perfect place to be in if you are looking for something that is pocket friendly, clean, safe and provides you with an opportunity to connect with fellow travellers. Hotel location is good......Common areas are well maintained however the rooms are not as reflected in photograph on the website....Restaurant is not well ***aged although the staff is good but I feel there is a lot of scope for improvement. ...Buffet breakfast is good....Biryani taste was good....Food in general was good...Had to wait for more than 30 minutes for the hotel staff to transfer my luggage from room during checkout.....There was a lot of difference between the price as mentioned on trip.com and directly with hotel.....Trip.com was less for the same Privilege Suite....

Mango hill had a lovely room with a beautiful view of the race course. Room was neat, clean and spacious. Clean pillows and comfortable mattress. The staff was very prompt with requests be it for towels, extra toilet papers etc. I found the location to be decent. I walked till the upper bazaar, bus stand, lake etc. Yes its a 30 minute walk either ways. May not be most easy with kids. But the breakfast was a big let down. Not tasty at all. Coffee was all milk, hardly any coffee. No cheese, no brown bread. Found south indian options uninspiring

Since this was my first visit to Ooty & Savoy, the overall experience has took me by surprise. Especially the stay in Savoy was so pleasant. Including the ambience, food, staff, everything was top notch! This has been a very relaxing and a surreal experience! Shout out to Savoy staff! Satish, Shabarish and Karthik!

Facilities: It’s a small hostel with well kept rooms and washrooms. The dorms are definitely worth the price! They also have a private room available. The common areas are nicely decorated and they have books and board games. There’s an outdoor bonfire every night which is a highlight! They have a swing at an elevation above the hostel that has beautiful views of the town! Service: 5/5 for the friendly hosts and the service. They create a very happy and cozy environment, making it easy to mingle and meet new people! Location: around 1.5-2kms from the city centre. Walkable if you’re up for it otherwise autos are available. Cons: No common pantry or kitchen area, would have been a nice addition

GGuest UserRosewood is an excellent place to stay. It is a small boutique Hotel with just 4 rooms. I liked the interiors. They have a dedicated dining area near the kitchen. Dining there feels like having dinner at home. Sometimes even the neighbours joined, and we made great conversations. They also a garden which has a small pit for camp fire. And since there are only 4 rooms there aren't much visitors, the place is peaceful throughout the day. It has dedicated and hospitable staff. The on-premise cooks are great - everything they cooked was delicious. On our request, the cook even cooked for our infant, which was really helpful for us, we did not have to look and go anywhere else. They have good entertainment facility inside the rooms, in case you you are feeling lazy after the day's excursions.

VVijayakumar G AFirstly, I was given a room in an extension block that seemed to have been built recently. It was modern but lacked the charm and character of a true heritage property. The main building, with its fireplace and historic ambience, was nowhere to be found. This was especially disappointing considering the premium price I paid, comparable to what you'd expect from a 5-star hotel.
The lack of attention to detail continued throughout my stay. When I checked in on a rainy day, I had to walk to the extension block without an umbrella despite the muddy road. The staff seemed unbothered by this inconvenience. Additionally, the room didn't have slippers, and the floor was cold, with no heating available (although they did provide a basic room heater when requested).
To make matters worse, I had to call the front desk to confirm my room for the second day, which should have been done automatically as part of their standard procedure. This lack of efficiency only added to my frustration.
The toiletries were also woefully inadequate, with only basic soap and shampoo provided. Power cuts were frequent, and I had to notify the front desk each time, which seemed like a hassle the hotel should have anticipated.
The breakfast buffet was uninspiring and lacked flavour. To make matters worse, I had dinner at their restaurant, which was rated top in Ooty, but my experience was average at best. To add insult to injury, they got our order wrong, substituting Nasi Goreng (fried rice) with Mee Goreng (fried noodles). When I brought this to their attention, they made no effort to compensate for the mistake.
In conclusion, Hotel King's Cliff fails to live up to its reputation as a heritage property or even a 2-star hotel. The overpricing and lack of attention to detail make it a poor choice for travellers seeking a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Ooty.

flash not working in morning ;
requesting to have breakfast during waiting time ( which looked liked a good gesture coz breakfast time was almost over and why to waste food but later asking to pay ( which should had been informed priorly )

GGuest UserGreat super clean hotel, super friendly owner, helpful staff, strategically located. Restaurant next door serves great food at economical price. Botanical garden, tibetian market n commercial Street are walkable. Other sight seeing places are easily accessible by vehicle. The owner Mr. Maria dass converses well and helps to finalise places of visit, also does his bit to keep the guests happy. If you are in Ooty go ahead with Hotel Carnation, it's the best choice within the city.

GGuest UserGreat location, beautiful surrounding atmosphere, great staff. Most friendly and helpful receptionist and staff ever, lovely and great first impression of hotel. Everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in where we had dinner. Food was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. I was very pleased with my stay. I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future.

GGuest UserFinding a good hotel in ooty is really a big challenge and this hotel is somewhat underrated in makemytrip. Booked this hotel in december last weekend so the price is a little bit higher usually than. It's organised by majestic hotel only so you can find the restaurant opposite to this hotel. Room is very chilly and geyser facility is there. Upon a request they serve hot water for drinking also. Center located to all locations especially boat lake is very nearer. I can suggest this hotel to everyone if you want to stay and book this hotel one week before to avoid over charges.
