We spent two nights here and I must say our stay was terrific. The hotel is in a charming place right by the river, the staff were very accommodating to our needs and the food was excellent (probably one of the best parts of the stay). It is in a relatively clean area and 3-5 minute walk to the markets, about 45 minutes average horse ride from Betaab valley and most other attractions. The bed had heated blankets also for the colder nights. Overall, I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a stay in Pahalgam.

Awesome ambience & experience! We super seniors wanted a relaxed experience of having fresh trout very close to the flowing river without getting wet or slipping on rocks ! Lady Luck was on our side when it connected us with the Island resort a quaint & charming resort right by the river Lidder with a lovely deck & sweet cottages dotted with colourful flowers & rare Chinese Peonies ! The trout was fresh & well paired with garlic bread . Our experience was enhanced by a roving masseuse who was giving the visitors a foot or head massage which was quite relaxing . The rooms are cosy but basic … enjoyed the location & the river every bit .

The hotel is beautifully situated near a rivulet and has a lovely ambience. The service provided by the handful of men is also super! parmanand, the chef tried his best to serve delicious meals to our preferences. Zubair the manager and his men were very prompt and hospitable. The pahalgam market and pony-area is close to this property and accessible by local transport. The only negative of island resort is that the bathroom and amenities need more maintenance and renovation.

I am writing this review after staying for 2 nights. This hotel is really overpriced and lacks basic amenities like hot water, cleanliness in bathrooms and room heaters which are very important for a hill station.

We booked 4 cottages and stayed in Island resort in Pahalgam. Firstly the Resort is in a very small place and on a very interior hard to find location, where the cottage are too small with no space for even keeping the luggage. The Cottages are very old and dirty. The bathrooms are such tiny ones without any amenities. No one in our whole group dared to take a bath there. The doors of the cottages and their bathrooms and the steps to them were so complicated that 4 persons got injured by them. The Kichen and dining area was such that we did not eat there even after Breakfast and Dinner was included in our package. We felt cheated and will recommend not to stay there even if you have paid in advance. Our memories of the town Pahalgam have been negatively affected by this stay.The only thing good was that their garden is beautiful, they have maintained it very well.

A small place with just 7 cottages beautifully maintained garden in the centre and river flowing by. Rooms are of decent size with electric quilts for the cold nights. The highlight has been the support staff and cook who served us with mouth watering simple but delicious dishes throughout our 2 night’s stay here. They were very courteous to all our wants. We had a memorable bon-fire night arranged by them. Although their was electricity fluctuations but they had good backup for hot water throughout. One of the best stays in Kashmir with wonderful scenic beauty and very helpful courteous service staff and cook . Would love to return here if we get a chance.
