On our way to Hilton Head, we stayed at this hotel for one night as a 1/2 way stop. Our first impression wasn't that great because the person behind the counter was a bit surly. The room and bathroom were clean. We took advantage of the pool area. It was lovely but the outside table and chairs need a serious cleaning. We were on the second floor and the pipes rattled all night. We had to spend another night there on our way back from Hilton Head. The GM, Pete checked us in right away. Very pleasant person and remembered us from our first stay. He told us that the hotel is being taken over by Holiday Inn and will be going through major renovation in June of this 2024. The breakfast is not that great. Only microwave sandwiches and donuts. We stayed on the first floor so the pipes didn't keep me up. It was OK for one night.

We had a reservation issue and Pete Arney, the general manager, was terrific! He took care of all my concerns in a professional and pleasant manner, and reinforced that being an IHG rewards member come with expectations you can count on. It was a pleasure dealing with him.

This hotel is transitioning to a Holiday Inn. The outside looks pretty decent, even though the signage is still outdated. Inside it still needs tons of work. It needs new carpet, flooring, paint etc. I give it 3 stars because it was fairly clean, and the staff is very friendly. We stayed here with 2 dogs and it's sometimes hard to find hotels that will accommodate pets. Don't expect a lot for breakfast. It's adequate but definitely not up to Holiday Inn standards. Hopefully better days are ahead for this property.

OK . . . this hotel is undergoing a change from Days Inn to IHG. We knew that going in and were afraid based upon recent reviews. The staff was very friendly and while in desperate need of upgrading, the hotel overall was fairly clean. The big issue was the constantly rattling pipes in the walls. We stayed in room 208 and the pipes made so much noise, we couldn't sleep. We spoke with a night manager and was told that the issue is very low water pressure from the city and while it is being addressed the only way to reduce the noise is to run water in the bathtub. Unfortunately, there were no other rooms available. OK . . . while running some water in the bathtub did reduce the pipe noise, it certainly wasn't ideal and the sound of running water was almost as annoying. While the room was clean, there was a very noticeable boot print on one of the sheets . . . not cool folks. There is a breakfast however it is VERY 'continental'. We opted to eat at Cracker Barrel. Hopefully, these issue will be addressed soon however until then, we will not be back.

This hotel is under renovation but needs a lot of work. The outside is looking pretty good but inside is a work in progress. The air-conditioner in our room worked great. The carpet had been replaced. Other than that, our room was pretty much a dump. It looked like it had been painted by a 5 year old kid. There was paint drops on the floor and the cut between walls and the ceiling was the worst paint job I had ever seen. The toilet leaked on the floor and the spring was missing in the toilet paper holder so the paper kept falling on the floor. There were water leak spots on the bathroom ceiling and not much water pressure. The breakfast was not as nice as other HI Express hotels that I have stayed. No hot food except Jimmy Dean egg muffins that you microwaved. There did not appear to be anyone taking care of the area so the trash cans were overflowing. When they finish the renovation maybe this will be a nice place but right now I 'd try somehere else.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in and I have all the pictures to prove it! Highly unsanitary and absolutely disgusting not to mention the rude staff. My daughter had a soccer tournament in Palm Coast last weekend and me and another mom from the team made a reservation to stay the night since the girls were playing Saturday and Sunday. When we first pulled up, the place looks overgrown and literally abandoned. There are no signs and the parking lot is full of trash. We walked in at 2:15 pm and the woman (short, heavy-set, grey hair cut in a bob) behind the desk said are ya'll trying to check in? Yes, we are. She says well you can't check in until 4 pm. I said our reservation shows 3 pm but ok. We take our things and look for the pool sign. She comes out from behind the desk and says ya'll can't even be on property until you are checked in. I said well check us in and assign a room # later. She said she can't do that, it's illegal and she could be arrested and sent to jail. I am 50 years old and have literally travelled the world and gone to the pool or workout facility or anywhere else on a property before I have a room #. So for all of my travel years all over the world and US, the desk clerk could have gone to jail? I don't think so. The other mom asks her to call us when our room is ready and we drive away. She calls at 3 and this is where the horror really begins. The man that checked us in was very nice unlike his co-worker. When we saw our room, we immediately tried to find another hotel but with the race and soccer tournament nothing was available which is the reason we ended up at this place in the beginning. You will have to see it to believe it! I don't even have enough space to tell you the horrific state of this room. I would like to send you the photographs but to make it fit in this 2000 word box I will tell you that the floor, shower, & EVERYTHING in the room was beyond the word dirty but most disgusting was the nasty sheets!
