Palmerston North Motel

Room tidy yes but still basic essential great for a last minute booking. Lady needs a reality check with attitude when I returned my property was not there. So reading all reviews now I understand., see the picture below I'm showing the container of the one that was left behind this isn't a sistema make. This was full of lunch and dinner. Please tell me you found it last left in studio unit 2 palmerston north motel. Not happy if I need accommodation sorry I won't be returning not if yu gonna talk to your customers in that tone😡😡

Disgusting. Everything about this place says the owners don't care. From the completely blocked shower drain to the only spare blanket, which had white, crusty stains. Inside and out is totally uncared for. The woman, Lyn was horribly rude and even shoved my sister out of the office. I will be telling everyone I know about this hole.

INHOSPITABLE, COLD FILTHY, DAMP, MOULDY UNCOMFORTABLE,UNHYGIENIC UNIT. NO PRIVACY, EXCEPT FILTHY DIRTY WINDOWS AN RIPPED NET CURTAINS AND MISMATCHED SMOKE BROWNED DRAPES. OWNER IS ENCROACHING, (ENTERING UNIT OUT OF SERVICING TIMES WITHOUT PERMISSION) BREACH OF PRIVACY. BREAKING OF HER OWN RULES, THEN ACCUSING GUESTS OF BREAKING RULES. SHE WAS THREATENING, RUDE, AND AN ANGRY, SCREAMER. DOES 1/2 A HOUSEKEEPING SERVICE JOB ON HER TIMES AND TERMS. THEN ONLY LEAVING SANDPAPER THIN TOWELS, DIRTY DISH CLOTHS. 1 COFFEE AND SUGAR PER PERSON. PRICE IS NOT COMPATIBLE AT ALL. TITLE OF A MOTEL IS A JOKE. EMBARRASSED TO ADMIT WE ACTUALLY STAYED THERE. WAS ONLY PLACE AVAILABLE FOR AN UNPLANNED URGENT TRIP.

This would rate as one of the worst motels I have stayed at. There is no support for guests when others are behaving badly. We had neighbours who were up all night (still awake when it was daylight). They were outside making a lot of noise & on top of that, they had a number of noisy motorbikes & cars coming in and out at all hours. U can't in any way get hold of management. I tried phoning & sending texts to no avail. I ended up approaching these guests at 3.30am but they took no notice of my request to reduce their noise. The following morning (at 7.50am) the owners text me back finally to say I should have rung Police who probably wouldn't have come anyway. They take no responsibility to look after their guests. Secondly, I have doubts that the sheets on my bed were clean - they smelt of sweat, were quite musty smelling. Also, one of our towels was definitely dirty. I very rarely write reviews, but this just irked me so much that I felt people needed to be aware before booking here.

Best hospitability - thank you Lyn and crew, you were all so friendly, and accommodating and welcomed us which made it feel like a 'home away from home' - Lynn and crew really welcomed you in with a smile and laugh, Was in Palmy for a wedding. Close to the city, yet so quiet - it is a couple, family, team, work group - friendly and generous. We stayed in a one-bedroom unit - with modern amenities. The bathroom was renovated- clean and fresh, the unit was very big and it had an extra three single beds so I highly recommend it for families. Great price. The bonus, is the pool and seeing a few pets with visitors, so cool they have a motel that offers that on request. The atmosphere of the complex was relaxing, quiet, happy and fun, we highly recommend it - 5 stars from us! Looking forward to returning to Palmy just because we want to go back and stay here. Thank you again Lyn and crew - This was the BEST motel experience we had in Aotearoa NZ!
