Hotels near SODAP Beach, Paphos

We are a couple from England who had the pleasure to stay at M Boutique Hotel in Paphos, we really enjoyed the whole atmosphere, the staff were very polite and attentive, the hotel is very lovely and has excellent service, the whole Island is beautiful and the people are very warm, we will definitely come back again.

We've just returned from a week stay at basilica. We arrived late at night, and was greeted by the most friendly and welcoming receptionist, Crystella. We were offered sandwiches, as we'd missed dinner. Unfortunately the sister hotel hadn't notified Basilica, that myself and daughter were coeliac. We were given a box of fruit each (apple 🍏 , 2 banana🍌 and grapefruit) and my husband ham and cheese sandwich. Crystella even offered to print our boarding passes off, on departure. We were in room 301 Thalia block, which is up 3 flights of stairs (no lift option), at the far end of the corridor. There was no working bulb outside 301 +302, and this was the case throughout out stay. The housekeeping left the mop and bucket outside our room all week. On 2 occasions, my family had near accidents, because the mop/ broom was laid across the corridor, obviously not visible, with no working light 🙄 The apartment itself is very dated, but perfectly adequate. Lobby, kitchenette (microwave, fridge/ freezer, cooker) we didn't use as we were all inclusive. bathroom (bath + shower) additional bedroom (no bed) with broken and covered dishwasher..we stored our cases in this room. Bedroom, and dining room with sofa bed. Double balcony (which did have dried cat poo, which also stayed throughout our stay). The beds do have mattress protectors and were very comfortable :-) Our room was cleaned once during our stay, and unfortunately it was day 2, which resorted in our charger being damaged by house keeping. This was resolved and replacement purchased by management, after I address the issue with reception. We needed fresh towels, and on going to get these, from the only housekeeping point, discovered used plates, and rotting fruit stashed away. Obviously contributing to the ants we kept getting, including in our toiletries bag, and 2 cockroaches we found on our corridor. The restaurant front of house greeter, Yoti, was so lovely and welcoming, greeting all guests like old family and friends, chatting without being pushy. Raj and Katerina, make the most delicious fresh omelettes. The bar mn, who does the afternoon/ evening shift is so lovely and friendly, even chatting with my partner about when he worked a bar in England. The whole team are just wonderful ❤️ The pool is a little fresh at this time of year, but didn't stop my partner enjoying it. My daughter and I enjoyed the loungers, which are plentiful. There are a lot of resident cats, the black and white with black moustache, we nicknamed Cornell Nibbles, the silver grey, smokey all enjoy treats and kind words, and the occasional game of chase the paper straw! We did see a small room bit, just by the pool, with a small sign saying kids club. The door was always closed, lights on. 1 lady was always inside, and never looked approachable, and not once did we see her come out, and interact with the younger children. Not really applicable, as our daughter is 16, but even she commented, it was nothing like the

Just back from a lovely week at the Nereus. It’s in a great location just walking distance from the harbour, bar street and plenty of restaurants etc so perfect for everyone depending on what you’re looking for. Also quick taxi ride to the Old Town, Tomb of the Kings Avenue and Kings Avenue Mall. We used the Bolt app on our phones which we found was a lot easier. Rooms are lovely and fresh. They were always cleaned to a high standard and always smelling amazing! The beds were so comfortable and there was plenty of storage space for the 2 of us. Towels were great, as was the air conditioning and the shower pressure. Everyone from reception and bar to cleaning staff were all so friendly and a special mention to Areti at the bar who makes the best strawberry daiquiris in Paphos. Be sure to try one (or a few) during your stay!! She was always so lovely and happy to chat with us and is a massive credit to the hotel. Pool area was nice and not cramped. There is a lifeguard who provides towels too. The loungers are a bit worn and some of them also had bird poo and feathers from the pigeons at the building beside us which wasn’t ideal. Apart from that, the reception, bar and outside seating area was spotless. It had lots of character throughout! Thanks for a great week x

As repeaters for the 6th time to the Aegean swimup suits, i could only repeat myself by describing this wonderful vast holiday resort. This resort has everything to make it a perfect relaxed holiday; the delicious food at the buffets, the kindness and helpfulness of all the staff, the wellkept greenery and flowers and swimming pools, etc.. One can see that the management together with the staff constantly works in striving to upgrade and improve this resort. Also we would like to point out again that Mr. Yiannis is a strong key role player in this process, friendly, professional and swiftly finds a solution each time you encounter a problem, an amazing manager who helps wherever he can. Also a special big thank you to Tony the restaurant manager, always friendly; Elena in the restaurant with a warm welcome; Vinnie the bar tender at the swimup poolbar with his bar welkept and clean, friendly and bringing the guests in a holiday mood; Miss Eleni, the housekeeper, a warm welcome hug, making the rooms spic and span with a nice smile; Helena, a very friendly, professional hairdresser whom you can book through the spa; Mr Pambolero, the bar manager who brings the cocktails to another level, he is definitely a number one in his field. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left everything about this hotel was superb. The rooms are bright and clean, the food provides something for everyone and the staff just brilliant. Maria at the pool side towel counter is an absolute delight providing a friendly smile and engaging conversation each day. Other staff members who stood out included Alexandra on reception, Dillon the lifeguard and Naomi in the executive lounge but in truth everyone was so friendly and welcoming and could not do enough for you. Thank you for a great holiday and we look forward to a return visit very soon.

The experience in this hostel was horrible. It was dirty, it is very unsafe since at night they are allowed to have parties with people drinking, both from the hostel and guests of the clients. They partied until 3 or 4 in the morning without letting people sleep, there was no one to complain during the night. Obviously, in the morning we got up and everything was full of the remains of the party, drinks, dirty glasses... We complained to the hostel management, which has made us dizzy to this day, since they told us that we were leaving to return the money for the two nights we spent there and we have not received any response or compensation from her. I don't recommend it at all.

Beautiful, renovated and clean rooms. The breakfast was very rich and of good quality... The service was impeccable... The exterior of the hotel needs renovation, such as the building, garden and pool furniture... Inside, the rest of the areas apart from the rooms and reception need care and maintenance... In general terms it is a good hotel but definitely not a 5 stars hotel..

After a night at the worst hotel in Paphos we found the CSG and after an early morning call they sent a taxi to rescue us and we were in the lobby with a cold drink and a warm welcome within an hour. The pool area is lovely and no shortage of beds towels anything you might need . After a restorative cosmopolitan and some sliders everything felt better. Our rooms were very luxurious and had everything you could want. Robes and products all lovely. Feedback from us would be that the blackout curtains don’t quite block out the gorgeous sunrise but that on the room front was all. The gym opens from 8 and 7 would have been ideal as we were up early with the sun but otherwise it was fully stocked and a really great gym . We didn’t make it to the spa as felt very treated as we’re were but it looked great and the staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfasts were a real treat everything you could possibly want and the staff were all utterly fantastic . Couldn’t rate having a better breakfast anywhere we have stayed . Restaurants were lovely kohili and bonsai were the best and the manager and staff were busy but very attentive. We would have liked another choice maybe a steak place but that’s just a tiny thing. Where the restaurants are located the kitchens cooking must be satalite as sometimes the wait was long so with kids they got bored but once we got used to ordering there food to come first it was all great. Consistency would be the only feedback we didn’t get water refreshed in rooms everyday so maybe a water fountain would be good as we both drink 4 litres each a day. Sliders were different at the pool and kohili so as you know with kids this can be a challenge but really wasn’t a huge problem once we knew. Sometimes the pool staff served very quick but sometimes same had long waits for the order to be taken but really we could just get up and order at the bar so again not an issue just inconsistent. The cocktail night with managers was a nice touch but we stumbled across is as we didn’t turn on the tv so didn’t get the message but was a lovely touch. We travel a lot high with kids and just us and we would like to come back again as it really had everything we wanted and we look forward to seeing how the resort grows and coming back again.
