Great
TTangtangT~I booked a 3-night stay at the Ghent Marriott through Ctrip, checking in from May 11th to May 14th local time. My actual experience was really great. The hotel's design is quite cozy, and the lobby lounge has a high ceiling, making it feel airy and grand. I especially want to mention that when I checked in on the afternoon of May 11th, a bearded gentleman at the front desk warmly welcomed me and helped me with my luggage to my room. That evening, after having a drink at the lobby lounge, I accidentally left my credit card behind. He personally brought it to my room. I hadn't even realized I'd forgotten it, so I was really surprised 😲 and delighted that he remembered my room number. On May 14th (Thursday), my check-out day, I had a flight to catch, but breakfast on that holiday started at 7 AM. When the front desk found out, they helped me coordinate with the restaurant to have an early breakfast. I think both of these small details were really touching. I left a thank-you note and a tip for the bearded gentleman at the front desk since our shifts didn't overlap. The service was excellent, highly recommended!
GGuest UserThe room is very big. I booked a balcony room, but the only room I was given was by the road. Room number is 141. Everyone should avoid this room. Because of the noise of cars at night. There was also construction in the morning, so I couldn't sleep well.
I reported it to Ctrip and it was solved.
There is always a body odor smell when the room door is opened, and the window needs to be opened for ventilation.
It takes 3-5 minutes to walk from the main old street.
The hotel environment is very good.
GGuest UserAbsolutely loved everything about Hotel Harmony. Beautiful building, really friendly staff, fab location, gorgeous views and our room exceeded our expectations. The street it’s on was perfect for us; a little bit off the beaten path and great cafes, bars, restaurants, a fab record shop and more. ❤️
GGuest UserWe had a fantastic stay. The hotel is super clean and renovated. The rooms are very spacious with two separate areas. Breakfast is good. Two words: amazing! The downside, in my opinion, is the parking fee, which is €20 per day.
GGuest UserI had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was very clean, well-organized, and extremely comfortable. I was impressed by the attention to detail and the overall freshness of the space. The location is excellent—convenient, accessible, and close to everything I needed, which made getting around the city very easy. The front desk staff were also incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful, making the entire stay even more pleasant. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay.
GGiles LawrenceThe room was fine. We needed extra bedding and 2 nice staff came immediately and made the extra bed for us. However! We arrived with a reservation confirmation of 2 adults 1 child. Their confirmation had 2 people therefore the room they had was too small. They did have another room for 3 they said we could have but it would be 30 euros extra. At the time we simply agreed and paid as there was a big queue behind us and the amount was small. Buttons seemed like a con to extract more money from us, it wasn't our mistake as we had confirmation for 3 people at the designated price. It's a shame as I really liked Ghent and will certainly return but there are other hotels to choose from.
AASHLEYRUANThe kitchen was well-equipped and spacious, and the air conditioning was nice and cold. The breakfast was plentiful, and overall, the place was quite clean. The only minor drawback was the rather expensive parking, but the front desk staff were incredibly friendly!
LLennon7107The hotel was converted from a monastery built in the 13th century, so the environment is extremely comfortable and quiet. At first glance, it doesn't look like a hotel at all. It is more suitable for traveling alone or as a couple. The hotel staff are also very friendly. It is relatively close to the tram station, which can be reached in three to five minutes on foot. The only thing is that in the winter in Europe, the room is too cold. I asked the front desk for a heater to solve the problem. Other things are fine.
GGuest UserNice and modern hotel. We had a triple room. Friendly staff. There was a small error with the tourist tax. I was told I still needed to pay. After checking out, I looked at the Trip.com app and saw it was already included. After verification, they refunded it. Well resolved. We didn't use it, but they have a nice fitness room. Parking is available on the hotel grounds for 20 EUR per day. The location is in an industrial area, close to the AA Gent football stadium. You can visit the stadium. There's a small fan shop and a supermarket underneath the stadium.
PPuwuRecommended points:
1) Very good location
2) The hotel has a parking lot (it is recommended to park directly in the hotel parking lot after arriving in Ghent) and it is convenient to go anywhere
3) The hotel has its own great restaurant and bar, young and fashionable
4) The decoration is relatively new
