GGuest UserWe just had a very nice two-night stay here while visiting all the diaolou of the area. The location is excellent, about 2km from Zili and walking distance to Li Yuan. Other diaolou clusters are 10-20 mins away. The service was friendly and so helpful during our whole visit. They went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. We enjoyed beef noodles and tea eggs for breakfast the first day and then a simple buffet breakfast the second day of congee, sweet potatoes, noodles, corn. The room was really nice, very high tech and comfortable. The beds were a little hard for us. That was the only negative. We loved the outdoor space with lots of room to hang out during the day and evening. Overall, an excellent stay in Kaiping.
GGuest UserTSINGPLE Hotel is in Kaiping City centre next to Vanguard shopping centre and conveniently located. Abundance of restaurants and coffee shops all within walking distance and also close to a river.
Hotel services are great with good amenities such as breakfast buffet and many small items in the lobby free of charge such as candies bandages eye glasses cleaning tissue paper. Free laundry with detergent.
Some rooms have smoking smells recommend hotel to have some nonsmoking rooms.
GGuest UserBeautiful inn in a lovely tranquil location. We had a wonderful stay. The inn itself is absolutely gorgeous and we had a great time just sitting in the lobby area. Service is great; they helped us with our luggage up the second floor (only stairs here). The area is nice and quiet, but convenient - we walked 15 mins to Li Yuan and it was easy to book a DiDi car anywhere. There is a free shuttle bus between Li Yuan, the other Diao Lou villages and Chikan Ancient Town which was very convenient. Breakfast was lovely and so nicely presented, and the nice lady kept telling us we could ask for more.
CcivillawliThe room was clean and tidy. The air conditioner was turned on in advance, and it felt cool and comfortable as soon as I entered. There is a big yellow orchid tree in the yard, and the flowers are fragrant. The view is the green fields, which is pleasing to the eye.
The restaurant's food tastes good, but the reception capacity needs to be improved during holidays. It is a bit busy to handle too many people.
HHalloumieThe hotel is located within the park and thus we do not need to pay any entry fees and we’re able to walk around the park in the morning when there weren’t many tourists around. They also very kindly upgraded all our rooms to one with view & living room. The breakfast was great, with wide variety and ample seating spaces. There were also many cute ducks right outside the hotel (by the lake) for you to feed/play with.
The hotel also comes with 8 washers/dryers and gym was also very clean. We highly recommend this place!
GGuest UserThis is the only family-friendly hotel in Jiangmen's Chikan Ancient Town. I looked around for a long time and finally decided on this one. The reviews on Dianping seem pretty good. Personally, I think the hotel's ambiance, cleanliness, and location are all fine, but the service is terrible. When I checked in at the front desk and asked questions, they basically told me to scan a QR code to check. When I asked where the fireworks were, they said, ”Scan the QR code to check.” Then, when I asked what time, they said, ”Scan the QR code to check.” Completely irresponsible responses. I know I'm too lazy to ask, but I just broke a nail and asked if they could find me a nail clipper. They said, ”Go upstairs and get it if you meet the lady.” Such a perfunctory response. What if I don't meet the lady upstairs? I still have to go to the front desk. And then there's the bed guard I reserved in advance... And then there's another important issue. The lady delivered something to the room, knocked on the door, and then just used the room card to open the door herself. I was shocked! It was the first time I'd ever encountered something like that. A friendly reminder: Don't be naked when you check in, remember to close the door when you shower, and especially don't mess around in the room. Auntie will be watching you do it.
Also, the outlet in the middle of the room is raised and hidden behind the carpet, so be careful. I tripped and fell a few times.
GGuest UserThe hotel's exterior looks great, especially since we arrived late and the lights were already on, it looked really pretty and had a wonderful ambiance. The bathroom had two sinks, and the toilet and shower were separate, which was fine for use. The disposable toilet seat covers provided were too small and unusable. They said it was a room for four people, but there were only two beds on the second floor, and nothing else. Plus, everyone had to share one bathroom, which wasn't very convenient. The spiral staircase leading to the second floor was made of iron and felt wobbly and a bit dangerous when going up and down. I saw a cockroach when I went to the bathroom in the middle of the night, so the cleanliness is really a bit questionable. Overall, it was okay.
HHoward Stephen AlexanderReally enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and comfortable. The establishment was quirky and museum-like. Tangkou was quiet and characterful (Considered staying in Chikan town. Happy we chose Tangkou instead as Chikan is an overdeveloped theme park). Driving from the hotel to the diaolou clusters was quick and convenient.
GGuest UserThe room was clean, but the window couldn't be opened. While the hotel sent check-in instructions, there was no guidance for parking. We followed the signs to the South Gate parking lot, only to be told we needed to park at the North Gate. These are things that could have been easily avoided with better preparation. The breakfast was decent, with clean dishes and a good variety. The park facilities are nice; you can tell they put effort into making guests happy. The food and drinks inside the park aren't overly expensive, and the taste is good. For the theater performance, I'd recommend not sitting too close; a bit of distance enhances the experience, and the stage effects are quite good.
AAiheshuizhudandemaoThe price is quite cheap. What else do you need for a bicycle? It is more cost-effective to live alone. The transportation is convenient. There is a long-distance bus station next to it. It feels like being on a golden street.
