Amazing
GGuest UserHotel facilities are particularly good, is a classic European country hotel, there are many wooden structures, breakfast is very good, there are many choices, you can also eat in the room, the front desk lady is also very warm
KKaren NgJust a leisurely ten-minute stroll from Whitby's beautiful beach, a truly welcoming and comfortable experience. From the moment you arrive, the friendly atmosphere is palpable, making you feel right at home. Owner are happy to accommodate your needs, ensuring you kick off your day just the way you like.
Cosy room with delightful view. Overall, this hotel is a fantastic choice for anyone visiting Whitby. Its location, combined with genuinely warm hospitality and comfortable rooms, makes for a memorable stay.
CCarlosOur staying at the Witching Post Inn could have not been better. Our room was spacious and very confortable. And the place has a lot of personality and history. If you want to know the roots of this place you can speak to the landlord, Pete. But more important Pete makes you feel at home, as you are part of the family. The stories, the jokes and the environment in the pub is so cosy that makes you feel you are between friends. And don't look anywhere else for food and drinks. We had dinner in here during the Parmo night, and the food was fantastic, one of the best we had in the area. And this includes the beer and gins. Also, we vouch for the breakfast, the full breakfast is delicious and we couldn't get enough of it. If you are staying the area, please do yourself a favor and stay at the Witching Post Inn. I am glad we chose this place for our staying, and a big thanks to Pete and all the staff for the lovely and welcoming staying
GGuest UserThere is a sea view when you open the door. The room is slightly small, clean and tidy, the service is warm, and the breakfast is a standard English breakfast.
GGuest UserEverything was fine as expected. The TV in the room was tiny, as was the kettle. We visited the Restaurant/bar to have a Latte and a glass of wine but the speciality coffee machine was not working.
The wine ( Zinfandel ) did seem rather expensive at £8.95 for a small glass. The breakfast was good but we thought that a continental breakfast should contain more continental items, rather than just Crossaints, fruit/ meats/cheeses perhaps.
Overall, definitely in the same class as other establishment of the same type and price point that we have stayed in, priced reasonably overall.
GGuest UserA nice comfortable hotel with helpful friendly staff who are easy to communicate with in person or by phone.
The hotel is located towards the top part of West Cliff which is good for walking downhill towards centre of town but also the hotel is within a very short walk to the sea view and beach.
