The location is near a commercial district. When I stayed there, the parking lot at the entrance was under maintenance and there were only two parking spaces. The security guard was nagging and not letting me park. I went directly to the hotel manager to solve the problem. I hope there will be no similar problems that will bother you in the future. As for the room facilities, I can only say that the price/performance ratio is good.
The environment of the hotel is very good. There are many different birds and monkeys running around the beach. The ecology is very good. However, Ctrip's order was really depressing. I started to book for two days. The average room was a double bed, and then it was a large bed with two small beds. Then I ordered a luxurious double bed room two days later. The hotel informed me that I had previously stayed in a deluxe double room. Communication was invalid for many times, and Ctrip did not solve any problems. The final result was that the hotel I stayed in the next two days was a glass of the hotel price of the previous two days, and we still stayed the same. Room, I will not choose Ctrip again.
Our stay at this hotel started off on a great note - a big thank you to Saffie at reception who upgraded us to a room with a private pool and ocean views. It really felt like the best room in the property, right on the beach and just steps away from the restaurant area. What stood out most to me was the hotel’s African design and atmosphere: the canals running through the grounds, the lush tropical vegetation, and the unique mangrove crossing right in the middle of the property. The hotel has a great location on a beach lined with coconut trees and just 10-15 minutes walk from the busy Senegambia strip.
The room itself was very spacious and comfortable, and spotlessly clean like the hotel premises overall.
The staff are definitely one of the hotel’s biggest assets. From the restaurant team to housekeeping and security, everyone was polite and went out of their way to meet guests’ needs. I’d like to mention individual names, but the list would be too long - so I’ll just say thank you to all of them. They were especially kind and attentive when my mother came down with the flu during our stay, asking regularly to see how she was doing.
The night shows organized by the hotel were also great. The highlight was the cultural performance, which featured the traditional Mamapara costume - a unique and memorable experience. On the other evenings, the singers gave it their all, performing with the kind of energy you’d expect on the biggest stages in the world.
Another highlight is the adults‑only policy, which made the whole experience quieter.
If I had to point out areas for improvement, I’d say some parts of the property could use a bit of renovation, for example the reception is a bit austere compared to other properties I've passed by in the Serrekunda area. The sunbeds could also be replaced and some of the beach umbrellas were broken. The WiFi signal was weak at times, occasionally dropping out.
