Amazing
細細貝大衛The foreign staff member spoke in a very low voice, and it seemed as though he was explaining things to someone who clearly had no control, which made for a completely pointless conversation. I wanted him to explain things properly in Japanese, so I ended up calling a Japanese staff member. I hope they can determine whether they can do this and take appropriate action.
Also, the entire staff is on Okinawa time, acting like a soba delivery person. Some customers are not happy with this, so I would like them to respond more efficiently if possible.
GGuest UserReview of Onna Resort, Okinawa
About me:
I’m a frequent flyer to Japan and a long-time fan of staying at villas and resorts across the country. I enjoy discovering different accommodations across Japan. This time, I chose Onna Resort for a relaxing group trip.
⸻
👍 What I liked:
• Spacious resort– Very roomy and comfortable, easily fits 7–8 people. Perfect for families or groups of friends.
• Clean and well-maintained – The entire resort was spotless and felt well cared for.
• View exactly as shown in photos – Stunning ocean view that matches the listing. Great for enjoying sunrise and sunset.
• Beach nearby – A beach is within walking distance. While it may not be the best in Okinawa, it’s still nice for a stroll or quick swim.
• Washer and dryer setup – Includes both a washer-dryer combo and a separate dryer, which is especially handy for drying towels and clothes after swimming.
• Well-equipped kitchen – Good selection of cookware and appliances for preparing meals.
• Private and quiet surroundings – Peaceful setting with no disturbance from other guests.
⸻
👎 What could be improved:
• Inconsistent check-in information – The email offered early check-in, and a staff member via video call said I could check in at 2pm. But when I arrived, another staff said it was 3pm. This communication gap should be addressed.
• Missing basic items – No cups or glasses were provided, obviously an oversight by the cleaning staff.
• Limited towel supply – Towels are provided strictly based on headcount. Given the proximity to the beach, it would be more convenient to offer a few extra towels without needing to ask.
• Limited Coffee Supply - The resort provides coffee bags based on headcount as well, which was insufficient for guests who consume two or three cups daily. A more generous and considerate coffee supply would enhance the experience.
• Insufficient tableware – Only two large plates were provided. It would be more practical to include additional small dishes, rice bowls, and condiment plates (e.g. for soy sauce or wasabi), especially for guests who plan to cook.
• Lack of basic cooking ingredients – It would be helpful if staple items like cooking oil, salt, and pepper were provided to make meal preparation more convenient.
• No power outlets near beds – Most sockets were located low on the wall and away from sleeping areas, making it inconvenient to charge phones or devices overnight.
• Weak Wi-Fi signal in places – Internet connection was spotty in some areas of the villa, although it offers several wifi spots within the resort, but still weak
GGuest UserIt’s a little tired. Wanted high floor tick, no- smoking room - hotel has no smoking policy but every time I walked into room it smelt of smoke. I had to open the balcony door which was a bonus and could sit outside. Like the Bluetooth speaker so cool. Bed was huge but two beds pushed together. Plenty of amenities and two breakfast restaurants but had to get up at 7am for the Japanese one (when it opened ) to get a table there. Felt it was probably a priority for locals as limited to 100 guests! Interesting western breakfast in other restaurant of burgers/ doughnuts / curry/ spam and egg rolls etc- v American. Great beverage variety there. Parking for stay $1k yen is good.
LLunanThe room was a bit small, and the bed was on the smaller side, but it was quite clean overall. The bed sheets had a slight smell initially, but they were promptly changed, and the problem was resolved. A great feature of the hotel was its large balcony. The location is excellent: there's a convenience store right across the street, and the beach is just a two-minute walk away, offering stunning sunset views.
GGuest UserThis is the best hotel I've stayed in since I last visited Okinawa. During my trip, I stayed at 3 hotels and this hotel is my most favorite one.
The host was very friendly and I had access to the rooftop through my room. The hotel also has laundry facilities and high-speed internet. The room was spacious and the hotel was very quiet and peaceful.
NNancyyangThe overall experience of this accommodation is very good. It has its own parking lot, which is very convenient. You can confirm online before check-in, check-in and pick up the key via video on site. The process is clear and fast. The double room is spacious and comes with a kitchenette, balcony, washing machine (detergent provided) and dryer. It is fully equipped and suitable for multi-day stays. The overall environment is comfortable and gives you a sense of being at home.
GGuest UserThe location is great in Nago, staff is friendly and excellent value for money.
two minor complaints: (1)the 24/7 venting in the bathroom is a bit noisy, if you are super sensitive about noise during sleep, might be an issue;(2)I don’t really expect to pay parking fee anywhere in Nago, but this hotel will charge guest parking fee
VvjtThis homestay offers decent amenities. The rooms are quite tight with limited space to move around, but the common areas are spacious (so we placed all our luggages in the living room). The living room is a good size, and the kitchen is fully equipped for cooking. There’s also a washer available. The location is a bit secluded, but manageable if you have a car. Conveniently, there’s a parking lot right outside the house.
JJenny.liu2025/4/13 Twin Room 306 and 307
The parking lot on the first floor is large (semi-indoor and outdoor)
There is a large washing machine and dryer in the public space on the first floor
Self check-in
There is a note on the English name of the room at the door. Use the password to open the automatic door on the first floor and the mailbox at the entrance. Then get the magnetic buckle and key for your room and take the elevator upstairs.
The suite is really great. It has a dressing mirror and a shoe cabinet. Great slippers are provided.
The kitchen has an open flame gas stove and oven, and the cabinets have a full range of tableware! Spoons/pans/soup pots/bowls, plates and cups are all available! That’s really thoughtful! There are also large trash cans, microwaves and large refrigerators for those who cook for themselves! It’s really great! A 10-minute drive to downtown Nago, where there is a large supermarket (open until 11pm)
There is a 7-Eleven right at the intersection of the hotel, very convenient!
There is a washing machine in the bathroom. Towels, bath towels, laundry detergent, washbasin, shower gel, shampoo and hair dryer are all ready. Other supplies can be picked up on the 1st floor!
The twin room is a room type with one large and one small, and there is a small desk and two chairs, which is really comfortable! The bed and pillows are just the right amount of softness and hardness, and the landlord's thoughtfulness can be seen everywhere! It has a Nordic design feel!
There's even a vacuum cleaner inside the closet!
The balcony is spacious! Clotheslines/clothes hangers/towel racks/clothes racks are all available!
Churaumi Aquarium is not far away!
The nearby tombs are not noticeable unless you look carefully, but they are quite spectacular and a local feature of Okinawa. If you visit the museum, you will know that it is a very positive teaching material! !
Tthat DamianSolid hotel in Nago, close to the city centre!
Ideal after a cycling trip and to explore Nago area; it's near the Nago mountain, and close to the beaches nearby, as well as many restaurants! Had a great time here. The hotel room had a bath, which I enjoyed after a full day of walking, swimming, and cycling! I added some pictures of the cycling, the waterfall nearby, the road nearby, and the view at the coast which is a couple hundred meters away! The Nago mountain is also at walkable distance!
