Second time back to this hotel and absolutely love the place the staff are really nice and welcoming and helpful nothing is too much trouble

The staff are friendly and helpful and the atmosphere throughout the hotel is good.The rooms have everything the traveler could possibly need.From kettle to ironing board it’s all there.Special mention for the breakfast it was excellent as was the the service at the bar. The hotel is perfectly situated for access to the town.A would like to thank the lady at reception I think her name was Ivy who resolved a problem without any fuss.We looked forward to returning

Stayed here in May this year, and if I could give zero stars I would do so. Room was dirty with hairs on the bed which were not ours, we were bitten and felt our skin crawling while in bed. When we mentioned this to management, we were met with a rude and unhelpful response from the manager. When we went home, it transpired that the bedbugs from the hotel had come home with us. This infested our home. Despite making an official complaint, to this day we have not received any money back, simply a hollow “we are sorry you feel that way” which is not even an apology. In my opinion, it appears they lied about having called pest control. Our holiday was completely ruined, and this is the worst hotel my partner has visited in 45 years. A real let-down from the Crieff Hydro group of hotels. N.B. This review will likely be removed by the hotel, so take note before they do so, and my advice is to use any other hotel in Peebles.

Excellent service from very friendly and helpful staff.
The room was a standard double with a very comfortable bed but the bathroom was poorly designed with a very small toilet seating area next to a small wash handbasin installed with a large surround which, if smaller, would have made using the toilet more comfortable. When booking again would definitely request a larger bathroom.
Good breakfast choices and easy parking for an overnight stay.

Loverly place to stay in the town. Lots to see and do around the town.Beautiful scenery down by the river and lots of pubs shops to visit all very close by.

After not accepting that I had already paid for my stay I ended up paying for it twice!!! I have been refunded but I am still waiting for the money going back into my account. £572.96!!!!! Couldn't use the shower during my stay as the wall bracket was broken and none of our guests could regulate the water temperature in their shower. Didn't sleep at all due to road traffic noise all night and the rooms were very warm and didn't have any air con or fans. The lady at reception was very nice and helpful when we first booked in, but when we went back to report the issues with the rooms there was never anyone there. All the staff were very pleasant but very sparse on the ground often waiting 20 minutes before getting a drink. Breakfast was very nice but cold, as was the coffee. We booked this stay to celebrate my daughters graduation, it was very disappointing that things were not good as we will won't get this opportunity again.

Six (3 rooms) of us recently stayed in this older hotel for two nights. The hotel is definitely starting to show its age and is in need of some upgrades, especially the plumbing. None of our 3 rooms were able to have a decent shower. The shower was either way too cold or way too hot when trying to mix the individual taps. The food was very good and would definitely recommend a meal here; however, if I was to ever return to Peebles, I would try another hotel. They also seemed somewhat understaffed as do most places these days.

Great location, friendly staff, plenty parking, lovely food. The bakery is such a good idea for a little light snack. Had an excellent stay.
