Guest User✨ An absolutely amazing stay, I have to rave about it!
This guesthouse I chose in Jiuhua Mountain was a real hidden gem. From check-in to dining, the entire experience was incredibly pleasant.
• The owner and staff were warm and attentive. Whether it was pre-trip inquiries, a pick-up before check-in, or asking for local sightseeing recommendations after arriving, they answered every question with immense patience. It felt just like visiting a friend's home, so comfortable.
The biggest surprise was the homemade food! The pickled vegetable and pork intestine, stir-fried dried bamboo shoots, and tomato and egg soup – every dish hit the spot, tasting exactly like home cooking. The portions were generous, and the flavors were fresh. Even my friend who doesn't like offal praised how clean and flavorful the intestines were. Enjoying such a delicious, hot meal after praying was pure bliss!
• The room also completely exceeded expectations. It was clean and tidy overall, with very new facilities. The bedding was soft and incredibly comfortable to sleep in. The 'Zizai' (meaning 'at ease') sign on the door added a lovely touch, and I had a wonderfully peaceful night's sleep.
The small courtyard was elegantly designed and very relaxing. Sitting there in my free time, feeling the breeze and sipping tea, was incredibly rejuvenating.

Guest UserThe guesthouse boasts a fantastic location, with an artificial lake right outside. I stayed in a mountain view room, and the view from my window was breathtaking. The windows were also very soundproof, making it quiet at night. While the room's decor was simple, it had everything you needed. For this price, what more could you ask for? Excellent value for money! Oh, and the owner was incredibly kind, helping me solve many problems. When I left my hat in the room at check-out, he even mailed it back to me. Thumbs up! 👍

Klaus HornetzA truly exceptional stay on Jiuhuashan
I have stayed in many guesthouses across China, but this one stands out in a very special way. From the very first moment, the communication via WeChat was friendly, quick, and reliable – even though my Chinese is limited and the staff’s English is not extensive. Still, everything worked beautifully. Warm, patient, uncomplicated. It already gives you the feeling that you are in good hands.
I stayed for two days, and throughout my entire time there, everything was perfectly organized. I was picked up right on time upon arrival – an invaluable service in a mountain area that can be a little confusing for newcomers. The guesthouse itself is extremely comfortable: warm, well-designed rooms with excellent facilities, a huge screen, electric curtains, cozy bedding, and all the small details that make travel easier. I immediately felt welcomed and well taken care of.
During my stay, the staff assisted me with everything I needed, always with kindness and without any complications. When it was time to leave, they also arranged transport back to my bus at exactly the time I requested. Truly flawless service.
But the most extraordinary highlight was something I did not expect at all: the free guided tour that the homestay organizes for all their guests. They drove us to the starting point, and then we spent the day walking through the misty mountain paths, visiting nine of the most important temples on Jiuhuashan. It was magical – quiet, mysterious, deeply atmospheric. Our guide took wonderful care of everyone, explained so much about the temples, the mountain, the history, and the spirit of Dizang Bodhisattva, and created a sense of depth that went far beyond sightseeing.
This was not a tourist activity.
It was a spiritual and cultural experience – something you can only receive from people who truly love their mountain and want to share it with others. In the fog, among ancient stones, incense smoke, and the sound of footsteps on wet leaves, one begins to understand why Jiuhuashan has been a sacred place for centuries.
My conclusion:
This homestay offers not only comfort, warmth, and excellent service, but also a genuine connection to the spiritual heart of Jiuhuashan. I can recommend Tanxiangyuan Homestay without any hesitation. For pilgrims, travelers, lovers of nature, or anyone seeking a meaningful experience, this place is simply perfect. I am grateful for every moment I spent there.

Facilities: Absolutely pleasant surprise, smart experience
Sanitation: Quiet and warm
Environment: Surrounded by mountains, you can get fresh air from the balcony
Service: The boss and the boss lady are very enthusiastic
No worse than a 4-star hotel, only 2 kilometers to the tourist center, there is a car directly to it. There is a courtyard, billiards, chess and cards, treadmills, teahouses, everything you need. The balcony is really comfortable. No need to say more! You will not be disappointed

Guest UserLocation: Walking distance from the gate entrance for free and easy travellers like us. Not far from all the main attractions in the town area. one of the cable car stations is just 2 minutes away and the bus to the other cable car station (to TianTai temple) is 5-10 minutes walk away.
The hotel also has a small restaurant. convenient if you just want to stay at the hotel at night.
The hotel next door offers great lunch and dinner buffet. We loved the spread.
Only thing that you need to take note is the hotel is located slight higher up the hill, need to walk up/down staircases to get there.

Newly opened hotels, they are quite new, the environment is also good, the location of the statutory holiday, this facility personally feels affordable and cost-effective
Check in and send welcome fruit, that is, breakfast is a bit rudimentary
You can park on the roadside, close to the visitor center, and Dayuan Cultural Park is within walking distance.
There are a lot of accommodation and eating nearby, very convenient, there is more choice
Overall very good

The accommodation was great, and if you're driving, parking is incredibly convenient. We arrived by high-speed train, and the hotel arranged a pick-up for us directly from the scenic area's entrance. On our departure day, we could leave our luggage at the front desk. Later, after we came down from the mountain, a simple call to the hotel was enough, and they sent staff to deliver our luggage to us. Highly recommended.

Xiaoliyaoshoudao90jinFirst of all, the hotel's location is excellent, right next to the ticket gate, and across the street from the core temple complex of Jiuhua Mountain. The temples are just steps away, making worshipping Buddha incredibly convenient! There's a direct bus to Huatai right outside the hotel, and the shuttle bus stop is just a minute or two's walk uphill, making it perfect for families with children and elderly members—no walking required.
I must commend the hotel front desk staff on the morning of May 4th. When I checked out that morning, I left my jacket with my car keys in my room. I had already boarded the shuttle bus to Huatai, so I immediately called the front desk. The staff promptly went to my room, found my jacket and car keys, and placed them on the next shuttle bus to Huatai. I'm so grateful!!!

Guest UserHow to put it this way, the price-performance ratio is average for a room booked during a holiday. After all, it's only 800 yuan small, and the room is only the size of a bed. The boss is more enthusiastic, but still says the price/performance ratio is not high.
