This trip with three elderly guests turned out to be the warmest experience we've ever had on Meizhou Island! I booked two sea-view rooms, each with a terrace offering unobstructed ocean views. My elders could simply sit and watch the tides rise and fall without any hassle. We checked in on the 14th day of the first ***** month, and I was worried about the elderly guests' mobility issues getting around to meals. However, the landlady was incredibly thoughtful. She had her brother take me to the market on an electric scooter to buy seafood while the elderly guests rested and enjoyed the view. That evening, she even took us to see the local village's Mazu welcoming and sending-off ceremony—a truly authentic experience of Mazu culture, filled with the sounds of gongs and drums, the aroma of incense, and dazzling fireworks. This genuine immersion in Mazu culture is something tourists can't find on their own. Even more heartwarming was her thoughtfulness. Seeing that my mother had knee problems, she offered her some knee ointment. The next day, when the weather turned cold, she brought my father a jacket so he could wear it to the pier across the water to return it to the Mazu liaison office. These small gestures deeply touched us. The rooms were clean, conveniently located, and offered beautiful views, but what we remembered most was the landlady's warm hospitality. Meizhou Island boasts beautiful scenery and warm hospitality. I highly recommend this guesthouse when traveling to Meizhou Island.

The owners are incredibly warm and welcoming. When it suddenly rained while we were out, the owner even brought us ponchos. The guesthouse is very close to the farmers' market, and the room facilities are excellent. Breakfast includes congee, fried dough sticks, eggs (fried or boiled), pastries, pickled mustard tubers, and small dried shrimps. At other times, you can ask the owner to cook fried rice for a reasonable price, and it tastes delicious. They also provide tools for mudflats foraging. Overall, it's a fantastic guesthouse, highly recommended! 👍🏻

We booked a terrace room and balcony room for 6 people, including 2 over 60 years old and 2 over 70 years old. Because we felt good, we decided to stay one more day. The off-season gave us the opportunity to improvise and ”customize” :P The B&B has a good location, close to the beach, the central district, the Mazu Ancestral Temple, and the Tianfei Hometown. The public areas, rooms, and supplies in the rooms are clean and tidy. You can drink tea in the public area and enjoy the scenery on the terrace. The boss's family is kind, enthusiastic and thoughtful. We chartered an additional sightseeing bus for the boss, which made it convenient and less tiring for the elderly to travel. The boss and his wife prepared breakfast for us, and considering the elderly's physical condition, they also helped us recommend restaurants, introduce scenic spots, rent small electric motorcycles, etc. Since we wanted to cook our own meals, the boss took us to the vegetable market. We borrowed the kitchen and cooked delicious seafood. Afterwards, we washed the dishes and cleaned up the kitchen. We felt as comfortable as at home. Very satisfied with the homestay, recommended!

The room was clean and tidy. The uncles and aunties at the Ming Inn were especially nice! The shuttle service was excellent! The surrounding transportation was convenient and there were many restaurants. The hotel also had electric bikes for rent, which was very convenient. The mirror had a light, which was perfect for putting on makeup. The sofa was also very comfortable. I will book again next time I come.

The location is centrally situated on the island, making it convenient to go anywhere. Services included: electric scooter rentals at reasonable prices, sand-digging tools, and free pier shuttle service.

This is the hotel I booked after comparing with so many other hotels. The room is so big hahaha. The price/performance ratio is very high. The sanitation is unexpectedly clean, the air is good, and it is very transparent. There are also projectors and air conditioners. There are even disposable toilet covers and bath towels. The mineral water is also branded. I didn't take it away after checking out, but bought a bottle at the convenience store downstairs for two yuan. Overall it is very good and the price is reasonable. And the location of the homestay is superb, the entrance is Rainbow Road, you can walk to the beach in one minute, and the homestay can also provide electric car rental, which is particularly convenient for travel. First off do not book here if you don't have a high level of spoken Chinese. You will need to phone the landlord to get shown to the apartment and get the keys. It is an apartment not a hotel and it is down a back alley with no signage (it's the door on the right on the third floor of the third apartment block down the first small 弄/alley off the bigger back street, turning left from the corner shop called 山土特产, but again you'll need the key). The landlord was friendly and helpful, gave some recommendations for the area and brought extra disposable towels when I asked. Cleanliness was not spectacular as there were some used tissues left on the floor by the bed (behind the bedside table) and there was no hand soap provided, but other than this I was satisfied with the stay. It is very well located for tourism in the Xinghuafu historic zone.
