I had an absolutely fantastic stay at this resort. Everything was top-notch, from the impeccable service to the beautiful accommodations. All the front desk staff and buggy staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. The rooms were luxurious and well-maintained. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended!

The hotel's design, facilities, and location are quite good. I could feel the artistic design of the French brand. The facilities and location are not bad, either. The problem is some employees. Unlike a five-star hotel, some employees are very irreverent. In particular, the staff who informs me of Sunset Town's events and shuttle buses in the morning is very unfriendly. I stayed in Phu Quoc for two weeks, and I have never seen any hotel staff glaring at customers and trying to teach them loudly as if they were bothered. The porter also feels like he is avoiding the burden without laughing. It seems that there are employees who cannot work even in a three-star hotel here. Of course, the majority of the employees are good employees. So, after all, is it a matter of the manager who is using these employees?

The establishment was very beautiful and serene, and everything was clean and very luxurious. The shops in the surrounding area were very traditional, which was lovely to experience, and there were many convenience stores dotting the surrounding area. The staff was excellent and super helpful and kind. They also helped us to arrange several tours, our favorite being the island hopping tour. The one downside to this place is that the restaurants and the amenities were very expensive. Prices were inflated, sometimes quadruple the amount outside so we saw many people frequenting places off the premises. My recommendation would be to have more variety of places to eat and drink that won’t break the bank and I’m sure this establishment will have many more customers. To add, the breakfast was absolutely phenomenal, some of the best I’ve ever had in my life. It’s definitely worth checking out and we will definitely stay here again.

Some changes have been compared to the reviews from 2018 to 2020. You can write everything to the room at both the pool bar and the restaurant, and thus no more cash in the hotel complex. In the meantime, it is also spoken in English, but with a few limitations that this for staff in the restaurant explicitly dominates the basics for the restaurant. A basic entertainment is not yet possible. However, you are friendlyly referred to the reception. Here it is English very good now and here are all always helpful. Whoever wants to use good service is well lifted in this hotel. You can book tours from the hotel or also a scooter, but the prices are of course higher. All in all a very good hotel and I would come back

After being stuck at home for the past 3 years and watching replays of Getaway, we finally got out of Australia and arrived in Phu Quoc. Stepping out of the taxi we were warmly greeted by the concierge staff with the traditional 'Xin Chao' as they escorted us into the beautiful Movenpick Resort foyer. Immediately my wife and I felt relaxed. This was what we had missed during COVID, escaping our busy lives and enjoying such beautiful resorts. Check-in was seamless and we were in our room in no time. I had an issue with our room and spoke to Linh at reception who was so nice and professional, and quickly resolved the situation. And in a flash we were by gorgeous pool and enjoying tropical cocktails. We spent the next 3 days laying around the pool, in the sun loungers looking out into the ocean, taking naps in the hammocks between the palm trees and enjoying the ocean breeze as we watched the sunsets. The Spa was amazing and one of the best we've experienced. The pre-spa sauna, stream room and spa baths was sooo relaxing. Breakfast was a feast to the eyes with delicious authentic Vietnamese food and a great international selection. The afternoons were spent devouring all sorts of enticing desserts during Chocolate Hour (and all for free, what a bonus!) We loved spending our evenings at Aura Beach Club as Vu was so helpful and attentive. He even got the whole team to sing Happy Birthday to me which was such a pleasant surprise. When we returned to our room, Linh and the reception team had organised a birthday cake and some gifts from the Resort. So sweet! It's things like this that make our holidays even more memorable. We thoroughly enjoyed Movenpick Resort Phu Quoc and the wonderful staff that made it so special. We will be back! and will bring all our families and friends :)

The entire hotel is extremely spacious, luxurious and sophisticated in design. It's clean and the customer service is great. The room is spacious compared to the price. The cafe bar in the lobby is reasonably priced and delicious. You can easily go to amusement parks and safaris using the hotel's free bus. You are sure to have a comfortable stay.

I travel the world with Marriott brand only, this is the very disappointed Sheraton Phu Quoc that I happen to stay, I booked a family suite oceanfront during June1-5,2023. This review written on June 2,2023. It isn’t 5 star resort. Marriott Should not put their name on it, because it degrade the quality of Marriott Brand. We check in during lunch and went to Garden restaurant, the lunch buffer have nothing worth to eat so we order from menu total of 5 hot dish for 5 of us, only 3 dish come out 20 minute, 1 dish come out 45 minute later and final dish never come. So 1 of us can’t have lunch. We lelf the restaurant and came to our SUITE all the keys doesn’t work so after the trip to front desk again finally we got in the suite. The room temperature was at 25C degrees and keep go up. Call the maintenance no help there The resort is old and need upgrade ASAP including AC units. We went down to front desk and request to change the room, they told us to leave our phone number so they can contact us regarding the room transfer. We never received the call, we have to went out to find a decent place for our dinner because we are not sure about restaurant dinner buffet!!! So by the time get to the room we too tired to call and bother the front desk. I am a Platium Bonvoy of the Marriott. It mean I stay at least 50 nights per year with Marriott. This is the first time I feel like I got cheat out of 5 stars resort. So today I will ask them to cancel the rest of the stay and move to another resort, hopefully JW Marriott in the other end of the island. My review is not prejudiced about the staff or Food not even the normal wear and tear of the resort but mainly with the management team. On the small note to resort management director. You should try your own food in the restaurant including the ice cream in the snack bar, I think the Ice cream was there too long. I wish all the best to my fellow guess and hope that you will be better luck then me. After my first impression with The 5 star resort. I would like update my review. Just one action of the top team management in breakfast room, it change my opinion and I am very appreciated his customer services. His name is Mr Hoang. He fresh up my family’s morning with an offer a cup of Green Tea, when services like that happen, it took out of all the bad experience and show you how great the staff can brighten your day. Furthermore in the long conversation he explains to me the new management just took over last September 2022 and in process of remodel the resort. Also the staff had been trained and continue to update their customers services. Therefore I would like to update my review with a 5 stars and continue to believe in Marriott branding Sheraton Phu Quoc Long Beach. This is on my day 4 at the resort and I am very happy to share with everyone. Thank you for read my review and after all we have a happy ending. My best wish remain with the staff of the Hotel specifically with the Breakfast room management

PPatrickLA recommended hotel when you plan to stay in Phu Quoc during your vacation. The staffs here are friendly and take care of the guest. A great hospitality given by the front office - Ms My. She really done a great job and very taking care of me during my stay. Definitely, I will go back to stay with this property!
GGuest UserPros: - good location, walking distance to Grand World - low price, best if you don’t spend much time at the hotel and mostly out and about - clean and modern decor Cons: - no aircon in corridor and elevator, it can be very uncomfortable to step in the elevator on hot days - no room service, no service at pool area, no option to pay for food and beverage at check out. - minibar is empty, instant coffee and tea bags are available yet no milk. When we requested milk for our cup of tea, the reception staff advised we would need to go to the bar (ground floor) to purchase milk at own cost. Milk is essential and it has always been provided free of charge wherever we’ve been (Bali, Singapore, Australia, etc.) - mid-stay ROOM INSPECTION. This is very UNPLEASANT practice to Westerners and should be stopped. Not sure if this is normal in Vietnam, but it is very displeasing and annoying to us (Australians). We often stayed a few weeks to months in Bali and other Asian countries, we’ve never had room inspection where 2 staff entered our room, 1 of them walked around the room pretending to check the skirting board with a screwdriver while the other was casing the room (it was obvious that they wanted to check to room). - poor English proficiency. Only one reception staff can speak English well, the rest of the staff don’t. My husband was quite frustrated during our stay because he couldn’t communicate with staff. We’ve stayed in Bali and other Asian countries, all of their staff are fluent in English including security and housekeeping staff. - lack of attention to food safety. Signage is very small. No cover when the meals bought outside to the pool area. Food was not kept at optimum temperature can cause bacteria to grow to dangerous levels that can cause illness. - lack of knowledge about beverage. Staff didn’t understand my husband’s order of Bourbon + Cola (very common drinks to Westerners) and advised they don’t have Bourbon. When my husband went to the bar with the staff, there was a big Bourbon bottle sitting on the shelf! - lack of customer service. Staff was not attentive to customers, my husband had to walked to the restaurant to get staff attention when we wanted food and drinks while we were at the pool. Staff should walk around and simply check in with customers. Staff didn’t greet customers when they walk past, again when we were in Bali and other Asian countries, their staff (everyone including housekeeping staff) always said good morning, good afternoon or good evening. - FACIAL BIOMETRICS RECOGNITION was an entry requirement to enter buffet breakfast. This should be disclosed in booking description including third-party websites like Agoda, Booking.com, etc. No information on Facial Biometrics Recognition are found anywhere or has ever been communicated to us prior to checking in. If we have known, we would stay elsewhere for sure (we will request that our data are permanently deleted from their system and we suggest that you do the sam
GGuest UserOverall this was a good stay, but I'm going to likely try someplace else when returning to Phu Quoc, mostly to find a better match for the vibe I like out of a beach resort. Staff was pleasant, but not overly memorable. The resort is a lot bigger than I thought and most of the clientele that I saw were couples and families. I had a beachfront bungalow that was very nicely furnished with a king sized four poster bed, a huge bathroom and an outdoor balcony overlooking the beach. You can hear the waves at night once the very loud EDM/hip hop coming from two directions cuts out around 3 am. I took a 'can't beat em, join em' mentality one night and strolled over to the loud beach bar next door at night to realize that all the loud music was playing for exactly six people who were all yelling to hear one another over the music and not even on the dancefloor. Breakfast in the mornings was good, there's a friendly little mouse that comes by to lap up the crumbs as you eat if you dine alfresco. If you're turned off by rodents, Phu Quoc might but be the best place for you fyi. The bar at the hotel was very small with about 10 stools, but the guys that worked there were nice and the vibe was pretty chill.
GGuest UserMy partner got hurts when he was playing the water sport on the beach of Melia hotel. The owner of the water sports did not inform in advance that there were wires underneath the hovercraft. As a result, the child fell and went to the emergency rescue, causing the companion's leg to bleed from multiple places.
We went to the hospital urgently to stop the bleeding but because I was in a rush, I didn’t bring any cash. After the examination at the hospital, the hospital needs to pay a deposit in advance before providing treatment. Water sports owners refuse to admit their facilities pose serious safety risks.
But the responsibility is obvious. Because of the language barrier, I had to return to our hotel to ask for help and coordination.Emergency time LE helped us solve this incident.
Finally, thanks again to LE. Thank you for having such an outstanding and friendly staff at your hotel.
GGuest UserExcellent service, convenient location, and extremely helpful staff. I'm in utter love with this place. The décor of the brand-new room was sophisticated and elegant. The hotel employees provided excellent service, which made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. Leila, in particular, was kind and thoughtful in setting everything up for us, and she always comes with a big, genuine smile, which makes us even happier. She went above and above to make my stay as enjoyable as possible by planning my routes to visit various locations on my own, explaining in detail how to get there, and reserving my ticket to the airport. We want to express our gratitude for making our experience spectacular and incredibly memorable. Overall experience can be expressed in 3 syllables Fa Bu Lous, can’t wait to go back.
GGuest UserThe resort has alot of potential with an exclusive beach, swimming pool and eloquent rooms (some with great views). Breakfasts are great. The manager was good and takes pride in the resort, however when he was not around in the afternoons and evenings service was rare and hard to find. You have to actively go look for restaurant staff to place an order or pay. The restaurant could be alot more profitable if staff actively removed plates and asked clients if they could get them anything e.g dessert, drinks. They charge a service fee, but with little service.
It advertises a gym, but equipment is in disrepair, they should not advertise facilities which are not functional.
There is not much around the resort in terms of restaurants, bars and shops. It is also not an easy location to get to, but yet we found the reception unhelpful in getting transport.
All in all the resort could be great, but service needs to be improved.
OOLEKSANDRAI had a conflict with this hotel, I didn’t stay there and my money was not refunded. When I tried to report this to trip.com service team and they contacted the manager, the manager made up some details of our conflict, lied to trip.com that I “shouted loudly and scolded the staff”, which is absolute nonsense. The thing is the receptionist who is the only staff member left the hotel, while i was waiting for him to give me motorbike for rent, which has been agreed before. He didn’t say a word to me, he just disappeared. Later , when I contacted the hotel by number from their business card, the other person has told me, that the receptionist is her husband and he went to another hotel to help other guests check in. They have several hotels and don’t have staff, so the receptionist guy does shuttle runs between hotels. Just for the note, the description of the hotel says 24 hours front desk. Empty front desk.
The biggest problem is that the manager, the wife of the receptionist, has told trip.com that I was being impolite, because I made my decision to not stay at the hotel, where I would constantly need to wait for the service (due to their problems of staff shortage). And she lied, said I was yelling at staff. Which staff, I don’t know. The guy, who btw doesn’t even speak English, was not there. How could I yell to anyone, if I was all alone at the lobby waiting for the receptionist. And when I realized, this hotel is not where I would be comfortable, I cancelled the booking and I told the manager that I did so. And left the key. I wouldn’t think I won’t be able to get my money back.
The manager is a liar.
And they didn’t give me refund.
The resort is in a beautiful setting. Our rooms are large and very comfortable. All staff were friendly and helpful. The private beaches are clean with lots of sunchairs and umbrellas. The food is very good and big selection. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and will definitely be back!
TTonyctca1We are here now and I have read some of the poor reviews. I don't understand them. Rooms are great, pool is clean, tiled and grouped. Staff are so helpfull and friendly. Rooms are cleaned every day, bathrooms clean and showers are top notch compared to some we have stayed in to get here. Absolute value for money with picturesque views and all amenities you could need. The walk to the main street is a bit of a walk but not a hike. Take my word for it and don't take any notice of the bad reviews. THIS PLACE IS FANTASTIC VALUE FOR MONEY. Only comment is breakfast could be a bit better, but not worth not booking because of it.
GGuest UserThe hotel is in a great location at the 1 end of long Beach, within walking distance of both the town, night market and beach with various beach bars and restaurants.
It has a lovely swimming pool overlooking the sea with loungers to relax on. We found the breakfast and serving staff to be fantastic.
The hotel itself seems as if it was grand in its day, but is now showing signs of wear and lack of maintenance in some areas. We had mixed experience with service, the breakfast restaurant was great, but other service like the pool wasn't as great. There never were clean towels when we used the pool, just a pile of dirty ones, nor service. The reception staff were mostly friendly and helpful, but not all. Some could speak English, but there was a lack of understanding, which led to mis-communication when trying to get service.
We enjoyed our time at the hotel regardless and would recommend it.
