Overall not bad. Very decent breakfast. Large swimming pool. The sea is across a small road from the hotel. There are no sun loungers from the hotel on the beach.
There is practically no territory, everything is built up with villas.
We booked a classic double room - IT'S A COMPLETE DISGUST.
The room is located above the restaurant - it smells of food and is very noisy.
There is no balcony, the windows are small, nowhere to dry, at all, swimsuits, old and shabby furniture. The design of the room is absent ..
We got the impression that this is some kind of converted staff room.
We travel a lot and this is the first time we have seen such a room in a 5-star hotel .
We did not extend the stay.

Nice hotel. Bad location. Check-in time was long.
I arrived at 2:30 pm. Check-in time is officially at 3 pm. I received the rooms at 3:35 pm. I complained but nobody cared about that. Place for Breakfast buffet is small. They let you sit in the outdoor with no ac in the middle of July. One big swimming pool.

I recently had a stay for 4 days and 3 nights in the resort, and from the moment I arrived, the environment, view and level of service was truly extraordinary. The staffs greeted us with a flower bracelet and a welcoming drink while we are checking in the room. The resort is situated right in between the famous lagoon and Bangtao Beach, so the view that the hotel offers is definitely stunning from any sides. They also have an alley to connect the hotel to the beach. The room was enormous, with a king-sized bed, a separate living room (with extra bed here if the stay is for 3 people), and a huge private balcony overlooking the beach. What really made my stay exceptional, though, was the service. There was a flood on my second day staying in the resort and the access to Phuket Town was blocked from Bangtao area, we did not know this news and the staff helped to keep us updated and recommend us spots nearby to go instead. Overall, for the value, Movenpick Bangtao truly stands out and worth to stay.

There are 4 adults and 1 child in my family. We are very satisfied with the stay. It takes only 3 minutes to get to the beach. There are only three points that I think may be a problem for some people.
1: You really need to know some English. None of the staff can speak Chinese. We stayed for a week and we were the only Chinese family. There were Europeans, Americans, Indians, etc.
2: It is troublesome to eat. The hotel breakfast is very ordinary. I only had lunch and dinner once. The child couldn't play anymore, so I ordered some simple room service.
3: You must take a taxi/drive when going out. It takes at least 20 minutes to walk to the nearest hotel. You can take a taxi to the nearest Porto de Phuket (this place is mainly for foreigners). It costs 300🐷 one way.
Go to other places and download the APP "Bolt". Just pay in cash.
