I recently stayed at a beautiful and traditional Chinese homestay, and it was an unforgettable experience. The hosts were incredibly kind, helpful, and made me feel like part of their family. We stayed in the Kang style bed and it was very comfortable, the location is very convenient as it is close to the main streets but not very loud at night. The family who runs this hotel are so kind and helpful, They picked us up at the station and when we needed to go into town they drove us around and helped us, so kind. 10/10 would reccomend!!

This is the best hotel room ever especially covered with ancient artifacts and the place is situated inside the street. The staffs are very friendly and caring too. Highly recommended.

We had an excellent stay experience. The worker from hotel came to pick up at the gate of the old village, and explained everything clearly. The hotel situated just 3 minutes walking from Main Street. The room is overall clean which corresponds to the offered rate. Highly recommended

The Zhang family are very hospitable. I had a wonderful time checking out the 'Pingyao Again' show, which I believe is the best experience to have to understand history, culture of Pingyao and how it evolves over generations.

Clean, convenient and friendly owner befits price range level

Family runs accommodation. They picked me up and dropped off at the front gate. Cheng (his son) was very helpful and planned my 1 day “must see” sights in the city. He can speak English a little bit which helps a lot. Location was good and quiet. Highly recommend

Such a warm welcome in this little and very family friendly hotel. The children had a great time playing in the courtyard and making new friends! The hotel manager and all the staff were helpful beyond what we expected. I'll recommend it without hesitation

The room was very satisfactory. It was the first stop of this trip. The room size was also suitable and clean. It was exactly the same as in the picture. It was the style I liked. In addition, the boss's service was also very good. He helped a lot. The boss was very kind and gave me the location on the map and introduced delicious restaurants. I usually don't comment on it, but today he said a lot.

The room is spacious and the yard is quiet and comfortable. The landlord is very welcoming and will use a small tram to take me to and from the bus station, which is really great! ! I will book again when I come to Pingyao Ancient City in the future!

I can't help but praise the boss. He is a conscientious businessman. From the service attitude to the homestay environment, from the stay experience to the recommended food and tour routes, from the discounted tickets to Pingyao to the souvenirs when leaving, from the luggage pick-up outside the Pingyao Ancient City to the upgrade of the stay when we were with the elderly, I can only wish the boss a lot of money and prosperity every year. It perfectly interprets the righteousness of the people of Pingyao and the simplicity of the people of Shanxi. I will definitely recommend it to my friends and I will go there again in the future. By the way, I also want to praise the boss's aesthetics. My mother praised the decoration style, haha

In the morning, we visited Wang's Courtyard and had lunch. When we left Wang's Courtyard, we contacted the owner of the Zheng's Inn in Pingyao Ancient City, where we booked the homestay. He told us to park the car at the Xiaonanmen parking lot, and he would pick us up from the Xiaonanmen out of the city (the inn is in the ancient city, and cars are not allowed in the ancient city). After parking, we packed up the necessary items and contacted the owner of Zheng's Inn to pick us up. We waited in the parking lot for about 10 minutes, and the owner drove an electric tricycle to pick us up at the inn. After checking in, we bought 2 tickets for the "See Pingyao Again" performance directly at the inn (a little more favorable). Originally, we booked a kang room and wanted to experience the kang bed, but the owner said that the previous guest had not checked out yet, so he upgraded us to an ancient four-bed room, one guest, one bedroom and one bathroom. The room was also good, especially the room was in the backyard of the two courtyards, which was very quiet and felt very good. I also recorded a video on purpose. After settling in, we started our trip to Pingyao Ancient City according to the tour route carefully planned by the boss. We didn't return to the inn until 11:00 pm, which saved us from taking unnecessary detours. Due to the nearly 30,000 steps of running in Wangjia Courtyard and Pingyao Ancient City, I felt sore in my waist, legs, neck and muscles at night. I was really tired. I planned to sleep until I woke up naturally in the morning, catch up on my sleep and recover my strength. But my biological clock still woke up very punctually at 6:30, and I got up at 7:00 to wash and prepare to go out for dinner. Then I came back to get my things and leave. I had just locked the door and was about to go out when the innkeeper said that we didn't need to go out for dinner, as there was food cooked at home (Ctrip noted no breakfast when booking the homestay), and asked us to have dinner at his house. We felt the sincerity and enthusiasm of the owner of Zheng's Inn, and followed the owner into the side room of the backyard. The owner asked us to sit down, and he went to the kitchen to serve the rice, a large plate of three side dishes of mashed garlic eggplant, pickled cabbage and cucumber, a plate of five steamed buns and two boiled eggs, and two bowls of millet porridge. We ate with gusto, because we had been eating salty rice for the past two days, and a home-cooked breakfast was a luxury. Thank you very much to the innkeeper. When we left the inn, the owner gave us a bottle of homemade vinegar for us to taste, and arranged for the young shopkeeper to take us to the Xiaonanmen parking lot on an electric tricycle. The service from beginning to end was very attentive and thoughtful, which made us feel the hospitality and sincere and good service of Pingyao people. Next time we visit Pingyao, we will choose Zhengjia Inn again!

Great location, very close to everything. The property is located inside the ancient city in a historic home that the owners have transformed into a guesthouse. The room is in an old style with a typical bed and everything is very clean and well kept. The owners are very kind and even if they don't know English, with the use of a translator, they explain everything to help you plan the various visits. On the last day they offered to accompany us for free to the bus stop to the station, they are really nice people and we highly recommend this place.

The room is simple and clean. It is rare for such an old house to be so clean. It is also near the bustling South Street, quiet and convenient. I am very satisfied. There is a picture of vinegar for the owner's own use. We also bought two small buckets. The owner is enthusiastic and trustworthy.
