This hotel is very well situated in Pisa. We arrived via the bus from Pietransina (after arriving from Bologna on Flixbus) and it was a short walk from the river with our suitcases. The room was nice and large. It was not noisy at all as the hotel is in a quiet piazza opposite the palace of justice. The staff were very friendly and the Aperol sprtitz is only 4Eur. The bed was super comfy and the room came with a fridge. The bathroom was good and had a hairdryer. All towels were changed daily. On leaving to go to the train station, the bus stop is two minutes away on the back of the palace of justice. Would definitely stay again.

I booked this hotel after seeing another reviewer say that they stayed here as a solo female traveller and found it clean and safe. I would echo this reviewer's comments. I stayed here for five nights, and used Pisa as a base to travel to other places (namely Lucca, Firenze, and Siena) so wanted somewhere within a reasonable walking distance of the train station as I envisioned returning to the hotel when it was dark. I took the 'Pisa mover' shuttle from the airport to Pisa Centrale station (which cost €5 and took around 5 minutes), and then the walk to Hotel Bologna with my suitcase was in pretty much a straight line through the main square and down paved and well lit streets. It took around 7 minutes to walk from the station to the hotel. I arrived at Hotel Bologna at around 10:00 and was able to leave my suitcase in a secure room (no charge) whilst I spent the day exploring Pisa. I came back around 18:00, collected my case, and formally checked in (although I could have checked in at 13:30) before heading out for dinner. Staff were mainly young and male, and were pleasant and spoke very good English. I was allocated room 16 which was on the first floor and overlooked the small car park and a patio area. There was no external noise apart from the odd aeroplane which cannot be helped anywhere in Pisa, although I imagine that (1) people might use the patio for drinks in better/warmer weather which would bother me if they were rowdy; and (2) people in the rooms which overlook the road at the front of the hotel (Via Giuseppe Mazzini) might experience a bit of traffic noise. The internal walls seemed quite thin and I suspect that the bathroom of the adjoining room was located right next to my bed as it was noisier than expected when they were having a shower and talking in the bathroom. However, luckily, the people next door weren't particularly noisy and showered at a reasonable time, so it didn't bother me per se. I stayed in a single room (single bed with en-suite) which was definitely big enough for just myself/did not feel cramped. The room was decorated in a more 'traditional Tuscan style' (think greens, reds, and golds) so not particularly 'instagram worthy' but neither am I. The room and bathroom felt and were kept very clean by housekeeping, as were the bedding and towels. The bathroom contained a toilet, shower cubicle with sliding doors, bidet, sink with large mirror, tissue dispenser, sanitary bag dispenser, toilet brush, bin with lid, and hairdryer. You receive complimentary shampoo, body wash, intimate wash, vegetable based soap bar, shower cap, and shoe sponge. In the bedroom there is another bin and a desk and chair with large mirror. Underneath the desk is a mini fridge containing a range of drinks and snacks, which I removed and instead used the fridge to store my own food and drink which I purchased from a Carrefour Express minimart which was a circa 5 minute walk away near the main shopping street. We didn’t realise that this place is only having driveway to get there. At night, we carried two 23kg big suitcases and walked there. That was a terrible experience. Other than that, the AC inside the room seemed to have some problem, we felt so hot and hard to breath during our stay. But tbh, I didn’t expect much with the price (£94 per night)

Stayed here for 1 night in August to see Pisa before flying home after a wedding holiday, and we honestly could have stayed for a week. It was perfect to be able to relax and decompress after a busy trip in such an impressive hotel with pool grounds on the edge of Pisa. It was easy to get in and out of the centre of Pisa, the walk was fine in the day (you do have to use an underpass but plenty of other people are also using it). At night we opted for taxis, the underpass had a bit to do with this but also it was just easier for us all dressed for dinner. Our room honestly felt like luxury, this place is an absolute gem for those who want a high standard hotel whilst seeing Pisa. would 10000% recommend. Only criticism - the roof is underused. There's a disused bar that's completely empty and a handful of seats. We couldn't believe this as it was absolutely beautiful at sunset. They could definitely utilise this more to give the hotel that extra wow factor. We'd have definitely made us of it if it were running.

I must have started this review about 5 times because I don't really want to be negative, but then again I don't want to be positive either! We stayed here for one night, and it was enough - much like Pisa itself I feel - one day/night is enough! The location is well out of Pisa - taxi will cost in the region of €25, but if you like the idea of their thermal pools, saunas, etc it's worth it. Our room was a split level - bed above the en-suite with a decent sitting/chilling area downstairs. However I use the term ”chilling” ironically because the AC couldn't get near coping - despite having it working as hard as it could for the entire stay, it only managed to cool the room by less than one degree celsius. Opening the windows didn't help, but they opened into a corridor anyway, so privacy was a concern. Once you actually see a member of staff in the thermal baths/spa area (they seem to be rather sp**** and stay hidden - pretty sure I read that in someone else's review), they are lovely, but I genuinely felt awkward asking them to show us around - which is what the hotel receptionist had told us to ask! When we checked in, we were informed of a ”party” being hosted on the terrace that evening with food (not beverages) costing €90 each. We may have been tempted, but decided that given we were only there for one night, we'd eat in Pisa itself. On returning to the hotel we grabbed a couple of drinks at the bar and were invited (by who appeared to be the Food and Beverage manager) to enjoy our drinks on the terrace with the live music still playing - this was lovely and very thoughtful - certainly the highlight of our stay at the hotel. All in all, it's somewhat aged and needs a bit of TLC, possibly understaffed a little, and in a rural location. That said, the staff are very good and the location makes it wonderfully peaceful and relaxing. The thermal baths are beautiful and somewhat unique so it's very ”different” and for a night-or-two, you can't go wrong. I don't regret booking it, and if the AC had worked, so would probably have been a far more positive review.

We traveled to hotel end of June / beg July. We arrived late so restaurant just closing. We then had a very poor dining experience at a local bar and vowed not to return there. We had very helpful hotel reception staff from Fabrizio and Serena who helped us so much during our visit. We would like to commend some very special staff in the hotel: Laura, Beatrice, Gabriel Senior / Gabriel Junior and Flavia who made our stay brilliant with their happy faces and helpfulness at Breakfast and Dinner (when we dined there.) Special thanks to our room lady who helped sort our room daily and who went beyond her job and sorted out our balcony lounger. Pool was wonderful - beach was great / sandy - took some travelling out to get to swim. Had a lovely few nights with pianist in bar where Savioure was a brilliant master of the bar - listening to all stories and could make a great Martini. Take care to make sure you click on / off any buses using credit cards and also dont forget to validate your train tickets as can be a pricey fine. We had a great holiday. Thanks to all xx PS Taxi arrangements (airport transfer) through hotel are very unreliable though so although prices quoted at hotel are not valid and paid extra on arrival and hotel bookings unreliable as our return home, the taxi never arrived despite checking with hotel x2 prior to departure so required another company to get us to airport.

Campeggio tenuto in condizioni perfette. Gestione minuziosa e attenta a ogni singola esigenza. La pulizia è impeccabile e nelle aree comuni non è affatto scontato. Spiaggia tenuta dal bagnino Angelo in modo encomiabile, ordinata, pulita e ben organizzata. Spritz buonissimi al bar. Ristorante buono e con prezzi onesti. Nulla da dire. Sicuramente da tornare 😃

The hotel is within a shopping center which is very convenient. Free parking in front of the hotel. The breakfast is ok, not too many choices but it s enaugh.
