We have been coming every other month on business for the equipment auctions. We would never stay anywhere else. The bar service by Jason is fantastic and his sense of humor is unmatched . He always makes our stay everytime ! The food is great at the restaurant and the buffet breakfast is also another great perk. The happy hour is a great social time and we look forward to seeing Jason the 3 nights we always stay for !

Well I can’t give enough high marks to the team on night of 216 2024. We had driven 3 hours in a Blizzard ( my term) to Indy Airport. We have an Apt in Fl..Plane delayed because of weather. Finally boarded. Then after 45 minutes or so on plane announced “pilots had timed out”. Deplaned. Gerald started feeling bad and a five hour delay getting to Tampa wasn’t Going to work. Road’s terrible, so decided to drive to Plainfield IN to see if could find room. Drove to Springhill Suites..walked in (no reservation) Sharon at front desk said all hotels full because of a big basketball tournament. said I could go to Avon. I groaned. I said I have a 93 yr old out in car not feeling well. Teresa Taylor jumped in and said “ let me check..we can’t have a 93 yr old out in cold”. There had been a recent cancellation..she jumped into action..Sharon took my Drivers License..I went to car to get CC..she said might be pricey..I said I’ll take it whatever. It was going to be $300 +..but worked out after booking a bit lower. Teresa got us into a ground floor room Gave us toothbrushes..tooth paste..a comb. Gerald had a rough night. I took him to Emergency Room next morning..knowing how full you were I ask Holly? If I would need room if they admitted him..she said don’t worry Will get you a room. So (sorry this is long) Teresa needs a raise…you need to keep her happy as management..such an asset. Teresa told me where McDonalds was..got a sandwich. Sharon was cleaning off her car in parking lot when I returned..gave me a hug..told her to be careful as roads terrible ( She had on a beautiful coat.. a woman thing). So thanks again to everyone for your kindness. Carol

This past weekend I took my teenage daughter and some of her friends to Plainfield for the Anime Crossroads Convention that was at a different hotel but in the same neighborhood. I have stayed at this hotel a couple different times with my boyfriend in the past, but wanted to take the time to leave this review, hoping that something may change and that I can continue to use this hotel. First, the hotel is right in the middle of a bunch of my favorite restaurants and DoorDash is popular in the area. Even if you're not in the mood to go out to dinner with your friends or family, you can still get to experience some of the better places in town. This hotel was priced reasonably well, considering the size of the convention that was the same weekend. Check in went well; the gentleman checking us in was very friendly and polite. He told us all about breakfast and what time the pool closes, etc. We walked into our room (after checking out the other room for my teenagers) and I was just.... shocked. The room did not appear to be clean and I noticed very quickly that there were stains and big dark marks along the almost white-beige-grey walls. The texture of the sheetrock makes it almost impossible to keep clean, and the walls were definitely in need of a good scrub. The room was also very cold, but that was because we noticed the window was wide open (no screen to be had). Not really a problem for us, because we don't have small kids. However, I can see where having a second story room without a screen on the window might be a problem for some. I went into the bathroom and to my horror the bathroom ceiling above the shower was completely spotted with black mold. My boyfriend has COPD and is highlu allergic to mold spores. I called down to the front desk to see if we can be switched rooms, to no avail. I'm not surprised, its convention week, blah blah. I asked if the housekeepers could bring a cleaning solution or something so that I could try to take care of the mold myself. They said that they would and even once I'm back home, we never got that cleaning solution from the housekeepers. In the end, before 9 p.m. I went to the dollar tree and got a heavy grade anti-bacterial soap and spray and cleaned my hotel room, twice. I went to get into the shower I just spent 50 minutes cleaning... and there was no hot water. The water barely got lukewarm, I ended up shivering once I got out. The shampoo and conditioner in the containers on the walls weren't very moisturizing, but hotel soap never really is. The breakfast bar has made significant improvements, but there is still much left to be desired. I would appreciate just a few donuts or muffins or something besides blueberry. Blueberry muffins, blueberry waffles, blueberry yogut, blueberry syrup.
