Pending reviewReviewed Hotel itself the grounds are beautiful the pools are well maintained the beach is amazing the cleanliness of the whole hotel has been fantastic, staff are friendly however, the food was average and there are not enough food places open at the same times to handle the capacity of the complex, sometimes wait times are 2 hours, lots of extremely large groups, rained ( torrential) for days so not enough indoor venues when it rains, kids aren’t allowed in some areas so there was nothing for them to do when it rained, I didn’t travel with young children but I would have struggled if we had - food wise, entertainment etc, if you smoke there are only two areas where you can go for a cigarette which are quite a walk away, I would say the holiday has been just ‘ok’ I would definitely say it’s not 5 *, also MOSQUITOS, we have been bitten so much they are terrible, repellents do not work either, food- breakfast is not worth getting up for long waits for an omelette other items were very bizarre ( not what we would call breakfast items ) cereal was available but the milk was room temperature some days no bacon hash browns for days at a time, lunch and evening meals were not great either, there is nothing around the outside of the hotel - no bars restaurants etc you are basically in the middle of nowhere, we took a taxi to fifth avenue which was 350 mxn lots of shops but wasn’t worth revisiting again, beach hut they do burgers hot dogs, toastiest and there’s a place for pizzas, there is also a beach bbq once a week but was weather permitting ( basically lots of people walking around with umbrellas and nothing to do !
